This Ninja Demonstrated Security Vulnerabilities on a Big Financial Site
Category: Web, HTML, Tech

A bulletin I posted recently:
Ninjas need funding for anti-pirate propaganda campaign!!!
I'll likely post a blog about this site pretty soon. It's a social lending site. In short, it cuts banks (middlemen) out of loans. To test the waters I posted a flipping awesome listing seeking funds to fuel an anti-pirate propaganda campaign. I wonder if they will delete the listing. lolz

Aside from the awesomeness of my listing, the site / concept is aces in my opinion. Want an unsecured loan for up to $25,000 to knock out some credit card debt or what-the-hell-ever? Or, do you have some funds to invest in something that will surely outpace any mutual fund if you have half a brain? This site is good for both.

Want to loan a ninja $50 to $15,000 at 9.60 percent interest?

Get a loan of your own?

What I didn't mention in that bulletin:
Profile pages and listings on the site aren't meant to be customized. That didn't stop this ninja from adding some style to his pages though (they removed the custom stuff I did to my pages yesterday). By doing so, I demonstrated vulnerabilities similar to the ones I found on HotOrNot a while back. An official statement from the site claims that it will all be patched up this weekend. I'll be posting a full blog entry with all the details once I get the word that the patching is done.

Financial Site: Open to XSS Attacks and Other Hacks

Why is this awesome?
I've been quoted all over the interweb as LoLo, Burnt Pickle, Ghetto Webmaster, Loren Williams, etc... We all know that a ninja called by any other name is still a ninja. It's pretty sweet when they finally start calling me one though. lolz

MySpace’s ill-fated security measures are adding perceived legitimacy to spam and scams
Category: MySpace

I've been pissing and moaning about MySpace's link filtering solution since it was implemented. Why? A bunch of reasons. Stuff like...

"Since MySpace users are accustomed to external links being converted into MSPLinks.com links and having to pass through that new warning page, malicious links coded to circumvent those systems appear to be legitimate internal MySpace urls."

Sounds all kinda smart and shit, huh? lolz

Here's my new blog entry which points out how their security measures are actually helping asshats:

Symantec found over 5 million phishing urls posted on MySpace

The above explains the comments you've been seeing which say stuff like "RIP Mike, I'll see you in heaven" and have a web address posted which appears to be to a MySpace profile.

They seriously need to "go ahead and ask one of the kids they are supposedly protecting to help them out with their MySpace". They simply can't stop doing stupid shit.

Locked out of a MySpace account?
Category: MySpace

1. Thanks for all the birthday wishes

2. The below is an interesting message I got today.

Hello LoLo,

I was referred to you by Toney. I have a humanitarian media company and keep a page on myspace (myspace.com/omniquest) to post blogs, etc. but I've been locked out of my page and (big surprise) am getting no response from myspace. I enjoyed reading your blogs and would greatly appreciate any suggestions you may have.

Here is what I sent them several times:

I have been trying repeatedly to get my password fixed. Somehow the one I have been using for some time is not working. I have sent you Salutes and messages explaining the problem, but all I have only received are generic responses that lead to the same result. The site now says "too many log on attempts" and it won't go away. I've tried restarting, deleting cookies and private data, opening from a different browser, requesting the email be sent to me. Nothing works. Please help me solve this issue! Thank you!

Thank you!

3. Methinks the above situation is a bit odd. Has anyone else been locked out of an account in such a way?

4. I've got three awesome blog entries in the works. Seriously.

Like getting arse raped by someone you trusted? Snopes.com needs a wake-up call from ALL OF US.
Category: MySpace

I'm posting this under the MySpace category with good reason. The massive amounts of bogus information that floats around this place makes the National Enquirer look like the BBC at times. Many of us turned to Snopes.com to debunk retarded bulletins and whatnot. It was nice being able to reply to a bulletin with a link to where someone could get all of the RIGHT info.

The Make a Wish Foundation and tons of other bulletins have constantly been debunked in this fashion. Snopes saved many of you from looking like total jackasses on more than one occasion.

Well, they are officially in the Asshat Hall of Fame now for openly promoting adware.

Here's the scoop:
Snopes.com: Rumor has it that they are funded by AdWare
http://www.ghettowebmaster.com/adware/snopes-funded-by-adware/

Repost this as a bulletin. Post it as a blog of your own. Print it out and staple it to the bare asses of strippers. Whatever. Just be sure to find a different site to use to debunk urban legends.

You can find a better site via Google:
Urban Legends (minus Snopes)

Imagine being investigated for having a friend on MySpace...
Category: MySpace

...who has a spam link in their comments which leads to an adult site. Has your brain already started to melt?

Okay... Now, imagine the people who were pushing the issue had a middle school website which linked to gay porn. Head ready to explode yet?

What if I said that the "elite" cyber crime task force put in charge of investigating you had a MySpace page with links to a site that promotes adware? And, friends with links to everything from phishing pages to cam whore sites...

*Head Explodes*

Sadly, this is really happening to this poor bastard.

Update:
This story got submitted to Digg.com. If you're a member, Digg this shit.

Want a program that can hack into any MySpace account?
Category: MySpace

Looks like something neat to spy on your boyfriend / girlfriend with, right? Be pretty freaking sweet to screw with fuck-tards you don't like... Yeah, this thing looks pretty flipping awesome. It's almost as good looking as that Filipino hooker you banged and picked up that lovely Gonorrhea infection from.

This "program" is just like that Filipino hooker. You don't get to bang a hot chick who was sold into human slavery though.

Gonorrhea (minus) sex (equals) really getting fucked
