Christmas Cards
Current mood:  annoyed
 Would it kill my mother to sign her christmas cards "LOVE" Mom and maybe just jot in a line or two that she is thinking about me instead of just a card that says "MOM". Kripes...She might as well even just sign it Mrs....blah blah sen.
Well, at least I can go another 365 days now before I get another slap in my face...unless she remembers my birthday...
I'm alright...I've got my bat juice...most of the money to pay Fritz for being my hero...(thanks Staci) and Stephen got a new job yesterday. It's all good..(going into a deep denial)...Tomorrow is the last day before the long holiday shut down. Whoop-de-dew!!
We now continue our regularly scheduled drinking...

And the results are back
I do not have Lupis..(or at least at this moment I am not immunodeficiant..Go me)...and Sed-rate says that I don't have an infection going on.
This is a good thing...AND...this is a bad thing since I still feel like crap with SOB and chest pain. And I still have to go back in march for another scan and see if anything has grown larger in the lungs. Tesse says I'm a hypocondriac...and yet in the next breath she would bitch because I never went to a doctor. Can't win for losing these days.
Anyway, I just wish I knew what this was.

No results on the scan yet.
All of Stephens old speeding tickets are catching up to him and I fear it's going to be the most lean x-mas ever with all his fines and such in CT, NJ and MO. Oh well....Could be worse I suppose. (and it has been worse from time to time...) Let's just hope there isn't a warrent out for his arrest. (then we are doomed!!)
I really really just want to keep myself calm, how come that is just so very hard to do with cah-cah occuring all over the place?

Ferret 911 call for help in Ohio...

First the good news!!!
9/16/07 The Mckay rescue has finally happened-- nearly a year of legal battles and Doug Mckay and family have signed over the ferrets into the care of one shelter in Ohio.
This shelter ( listed below) is now facing the care and placement of over 700 ferrets-- NO.. that isn't a typo.. scary thought..
they say the Pres of Totally Ferret is donating food. Ferret depot will give a 20% discount on items shipped to Lori's (or, on gift certificates she already gets 20% on her purchases). Shipping is being covered though not, if I remember right, by www.ferretdepot.com A couple other funds are doing that, I think,the IFC ELF fund and www.ferretemergency.org.
Lori has a paypal account under rr3634@dragonbbs. com so people who want to use paypal can send money there.
Also, "disposable bedding", Sounds like used (but not super ratty with dangerous threads) towels, blankets, and the like. I think we all have that!

Ferret Lovers PLEASE HELP!!! I have in my possession hundreds of
breeder
ferrets of all ages that were surrendered on Sunday 9/16 from
Douglas McKay. I
need each and everyone of you to assist in the distribution of these
ferrets. You
have permission to cross post this e-mail.
These ferrets have not been vaccinated at this time. A group in
November were
tested and ADV negative. Also, it is very important to remember
these ferrets
are not used to being handled and will need tender loving care.
The guidelines for adoption to be followed are:
1. A spay/neuter contract will have to be signed and you will be
required to
have them spayed/neutered within 60 days. Proof of spay/neuter must
be sent to
the shelter upon completion. Kits need to be spayed/neutered by 4
months of
age. If you are picking up ferrets for someone other than yourself
you must
bring a signed contract by them.
2. Due to the large quantity, I cannot accommodate special color
requests. I
would prefer you take ferrets how they are grouped by cages if at
all
possible.
3. There will be no adoption fees, but a donation is requested.
I will be extremely busy taking care of these ferrets so I will not
be
answering e-mails other than adoption requests. If you are unable to
adopt a ferret
donations are greatly appreciated and tax deductible.

30 years ago today, I was a bride.....
Current mood:  anxious
It's been an interesting day so far with lots of news and things happening.
Vaughn came back to the office (from Iraq) after 17 months away.
VIATOLA GAVE HER NOTICE AND HER LAST DAY IS SEPT. 30!!! (Debbie told me to wipe the smirk off my face but I just can't help it!)
Dr. Fossey called me and wants me to come in to discuss my lab work and x-rays. (tomorrow at 2) Odd, because she called me herself and now I am nervous about that. Last week I went into her office with chest pains. Now the truth be told, for me to go to a doctor takes either severe bleeding or something really serious...or cajoling by my friends. The friends won out. And while she couldn't be sure that I wasn't having a heart attack and wanted me to go to the ER, which I did not do, the EKG and everything else was normal. However there was a area of concern, a shadow on my chest x-ray right about where my pain was/is. I will post more tomorrow after I go see her.
The turnout for the PPD this Saturday wasn't as big as last year. The Frosts were here again and they were, as always, amaizing. Beth and Marzieah came up for the event and were such a big HUGE Joyus help. (Fankly, they kept me going). Met some nice nice people again this year and even the ritual came off with the usual boo boos and mistakes and of course I looked like a complete idiot! (so what else is new)...At least the frosts weren't around to wittness it so I don't have to worry about being in one of their books as a "what not to do".
So, the house is relatively clean for a change, (let's just see how long this one lasts) the freezer is full of angel foods and enough pop-corn chicken to kill a moose..(if they ate popcorn chicken)..and the weasels are all very happy that they got to see Edison and Mystic.
Steve was indeed confronted by "Storm" (aka Lori) and asked to do a marriage hand fasting on November first. We had rehursed on telling them NO!! NO NO NO NO NO...but for some reason, he said yes. BLECH!! I am going to stay as far away and removed from this one as possible. They want to have it at my house even. BLECH...I am not cleaning and I am NOT decorating and I am not going to participate.
A very empathic friend of mine (Gayle) from Louisanna called and left a message on my machine at work telling me NOT got get in my car on the 17th. (which would have been my 30th wedding annaversary if I staied married) That was all that she said and I haven't been able to find her number to call her back. I'm not quite sure how to take this because she is a forensic psychic and is really accurate for the most part. Guess I will either stay to home or take the bus up to work on Monday just to be safe. Anyone know of a nice sigil I can put on my car...draw on the hood...whatever...???
I wonder what else is going to happen today. I did drive my car to work as I was running late...and I only live a mile away from the parking lot. But let me tell you, I was having panic attacks the entire time.
That's all the news for the moment that is fit to print from Hickory Street. Light a candle for me tomorrow and watch for the update.

A rather unexpected ending.

As I lie on my bed, thinking about you,

calm night, and what happened in my bed still leaves a tingling
sensation in me.
