Cables to support Ida Maria around Norway!

Cables are extremely proud to announce they will be supporting Ida Maria on her upcoming Norwegian Tour this September. This tour will give Cables a great opportunity to allow their old fans and soon to be fans a sneak preview of their soon to be released album.
A big surprise will also be announced on their Myspace page soon as well!

Cables have a new Member!!

Cables are extremely pleased and proud to announce that they are now a 4 piece band again with the addition of new guitarist Ann Sung-an Lee!!

Ann is an extremely talented musician who has played all over the world with her own band, Japanese punk rockers, Mikabomb and also our friends Serena-Maneesh.

Recent rehearsals have exceeded our expectations immensely and we cant wait to get out their and play again.

Details .. upcoming shows and festivals will be up on our myspace page in the next few days, and we also cant wait to show reveal our new songs to you in the very near future, as well as other exciting news, so keep checking back to keep up on all the exciting things that are happening here in our part of Oslo!

-Going to Stockholm this weekend-

It´s so cool. We´re going to master the record in Stockholm, Sweden on friday. Can´t wait!! Thanks to beautiful Tommy, Peter, Jørgen and Andreas for the great job they've done with this album these last weeks. LOVE YOU!

And to Mark, you´re the best. Couldn´t have done it without you.

*Started mixing this week*

On monday we started mixing.. So fun! NodSound Productions and Andreas Kirkvaag is the best.. He´s done a great job so far, and as we speak he´s pulling his hair and bringing the fourth song on the album to another level.

We have also decided that we´ll do the master in Stockholm at Cutting Room. So I guess in february/march we´ll hit that town! Fun, fun, fun...

Recording

Things are going great in studio! We have been in Laidback Studios for a week now and have one week left.
Many of the songs are actually almost done!
We're having a great time and we hope and think that this record is gonne be awsome!
Some pics from the studio are at our myspacesite already and we will try to update it even more. We have problems with the videoedit program, so thats why there isn't any videos at myspace yet... But be patient - it will come :)

We have started our recording!

Everything has gone just perfect. Now after four days Marte has finished the drums. Together with Tommy Akerholt, we recorded the drums in Sandvika, a small place just outside of Oslo. Amazing sound and great people to work with. We are going to blog our studiotime in pictures and small videos, so you should keep on tracking our site!

Cables - for real..

Hey!

In January we are going to blow up in studio!  

We can't wait to record all our new songs, and some of the old ones. We have blackmailed the great guitarplayer in Silver, Tommy Akerholt to make him join us as producer, and that's gonna be amazing. This time it's for real, and no more postponing. It's a bit irritating actually, when people say that they are going to do something- time and time again and nothing really happens. -It's like if you have ever been waiting for the train, and on the board it says that it'll be there in seven minutes, and then it says eight minutes, and then three, and five, and then again twenty..the lady on the speaker ask for paitience, an apologize for all the inconvenience it brings along - but still, - the train never shows up... And you feel like smashing the head of the guy who stands with the green flag, to pieces.

 Well, we are really sorry that we said that our record was going to be finished before new-year. Now January is the true month to finish recording it. And if you behave- it will. Love to all of you!

To update you buddy!

Yo People- to update you!

We love to see that you actually are intrested in what happens to us. That's why I'm gonna tell you that we have started our recording in studio. Because of lack of money, and we all have to attend an dailyjob- it's gonna take some time. But hopefully it's going to be amazing. So just be patient!

At the time -because of a lots of issues to work out, for example how this band is going to work in the future as a trio, we haven't played that much gigs these last months. I know you all were thinking ; " oh man, they are gonna quit playing because they lost a guitarist" others of you ; "I believe that they are trying to find a new guitarplayer!" Haha, I'm happy to say that you were all wrong  We are doing just fine as a trio. We just need some time to get used to this, and a bit more practice. But we are travelling to Kirkenes on friday playing a fun gig there, and we are supporting our beautiful friend Ida Maria at John Dee thursday next week! So if you live in the north or in the south you actually can come listen to us!

***Tine is leaving the band***

Tine is leaving Cables after some wonderful years. She`s going back to school!

Her last gig with Cables will be at Hamar the first of September.

We will sure miss her, and we love her very much!
