Touring bands/performers:Send a message through the Tapioca Booking MySpace (on top friends). Once booked send as many fliers as possible 2-3 weeks in advance. You can also contact local media outlets such as www.thestironline.com or www.hdnews.net :: both of which are eager to promote local events.

Locals: Bring a demo in to the shop with all of your contact info. Include a bio if you've got one. I use our Open Mic Night as an audition process as well if you don't have a demo. Open Mic Nights are every other Monday and are posted on our calendar. Come in and sign up. Many of our locals with established followings have started with a few Open Mic Nights.
*If you are booked you need to make fliers + handbills, and make a Facebook or MySpace event. If you promote your shows people will come. If not, you will play for an empty room. Just because you are local doesn't mean word of mouth will pack the place.

ATTENTION ALL LOCAL MUSICIANS!

Bring in your demos or newest releases and sell them at Semolino! (Like 3-5 copies at first) Just let us know how much you want us to sell them for and we will add you to our growing Local Artist section. 

Every month or so just come on in and check your sales at the counter.
