14:56 - Enchanted and in Love
Current mood: blissful

Wow! is almost all I can muster. They told me I'd be thinking about it and dreaming about it long after I'd left.  I was a disbeliever.  I dreamt of Four Quarters Farm last night and the whole event of Stones Rising.  I am just back, it's true.  Maybe the prophesy will not sustain. However,  I met people I call brother and sister.  I don't want to be without them in my life. People came to me saying, "I've met you before. Haven't I?  You look so familiar."  I hadn't seen them before in my life but the sense of home I felt there was amazing.  Besides that, it is a gorgeous area and to camp in the woods of Southern Pennsylvania at the end of August, well, I didn't say no.

I am enchanted and in love with the whole experience and the people I met there, the guys from my running pack, (Thanks Kokopelli) and my new special friends.  My heart is full of love for this and I see shiny new horizons, new experiences and great friendships ahead.

yeah.

I'm adding them to my list of new favorite tunes.

Check out....Scarlet Johansson's "Anywhere I Lay my Head" (Tom Waits songs).

Molly Ventner "Love Me Like You Mean It"  Austiner (now) so she's got that Austin female singer sound.

Vampire Weekend. Grooving stuff.

8:43 - It’s a survey question day
Current mood: Awesome!

You know those goofy surveys that circulate from time to time?  One of the questions is "What's is your favorite day of the week?"  I usually answer that my favorite day is one that is happy, one that I get to create as I choose, whichever one offers me fulfilment and happiness all on my own terms.  Well, today is one of those days. This Friday is my favorite day of this week.  Ok, I am lucky 'cause my Wednesday was pretty teriffic too.  (Thanks you know who)

Great things about today:   I don't have to go to work.  The client emailed, said all is calm and he doesn't need me for anything.  Had a cup of coffee listening to great tunes on NPR, got some awesome friends requests and responses. My dogs are happy, healthy and lazing about.  The day is ahead of me, full of promise and potential.  And it is all mine!

Wishing anyone who reads this the same heartful joy, peace, giddy excitement and hopeful anticipation I feel.  Bright blessings all.

Love,peace,hugs

14:05 - These songsters have lied...
Current mood: hungry

"It never rains in Southern California."  Bullshit! Or maybe, as I was told, it only rains when I go to visit.  Or perhaps it rained because I finally went to LA after years of general apathy about the place. Maybe it knew I wasn't too interested, but then you'd think it might want to shine. Not so.  And does the city really care about me anyway? NO FREAKIN WAY!  That place is all about open hands. Everyone wants their piece of whatever's happening. Nothing's free. Unless you know some really cool people. ; ))  And then it's a bit easier.

"LA's fine the sun shines most the time, and the feeling is laid back.  Palm trees grow rents are low..." and something about making my way back. Not so much a lie, as the sun did shine some of the time and at least Venice Beach was really laid back.

OH! If any of you are fans of Tom Waits and Scarlett Johansson, check out Scarlet's new CD "Anywhere I Lay my Head" I'm not saying commit 100% upfront like I did. LA Weekly wrote up a sparkling review of it and I had to validate parking anyway, but the next time you are at Waterloo records or if you can get to it through google or youtube or amazon or whatever.  Give it a listen.

There are no songs about LA. I've never known Tom Waits to lie in his songs and the musical arrangements evoke darkness, a bit of grit and some soul.

Peace out All

16:50 - weird things are happening

So, my computer has decided to do strange things again. It's deleted people from my friends page, removed the own your friend app.  Who knows what else. So, if anyone gets a message that you've been deleted, just re-send a request because I have not deleted anyone.  And as far as the own your friends, well, here is a real life display of how little I care about computer things, the process to reinstall seems too tedious for me to do right now and so, I am not going to do anything about it today. I may not get to it for two weeks, if I get to it at all.  Well, I might cause I find it a un game.  I'll be the low woman on the totem pole again though and not solvent enough to buy a lot of people. .....Hmmm, maybe I will try to reinstall it afterall.

But heads up y'all.  If you were deleted and don't want to be deleted, let me know.

Peace, hugs and dark chocolate

14:32 - Isn’t life grand

Or, I'm high on life!

I have to say that life has become such an amazing and wonderful ride.  I never really thought so many awesome people would come into my life or re-enter it as the case has become.

Man, it's just tripendicular, ya know?

So, again, to all of you wonderful folks who make life a bright and happy place and who constantly amaze me with your tenderness, kindness, courage, caring, love, Selves, I say, You are AWESOME and I love you, thanks and (glass raised) here's to our beautiful friendships!

10:01 - The brilliance of Leonard Cohen
Current mood: blessed

The genius that is Leonard Cohen has struck me again today.

Anthem:

The birds they sang at the break of day.

Start again, I heard them say

Don't dwell on what has passed away or what is yet to be

The wars, they will be fought again. The holy dove, she will be caught again

bought and sold and bought again. The dove is never free.

Ring the bells that still can ring. Forget your perfect offering

There is a crack, a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in

We asked for signs.  The signs were sent.  The birth betrayed.  The marriage spent.  The widowhood of every government - signs for all to see.

I can run no more, with that lawless crowd, while the killers in high places say their prayers out loud.  But they've summoned up a thundercloud. They're gonna hear from me.

Ring the bells....that's how the light gets in

You can add up the parts. You won't have a sum. You can stike up the march. There is no drum.  Every heart to love will come, but like a refugee.

...there is a crack, a crack in everything.  That's how the light gets in.

Bono has said about Leonard Cohen that he has you at every stage of your life.  How many do you find in just this one song?

Peace

7:54 - Going to California
Current mood: bouncy

So, I am getting pretty stoked about my upcoming trip out West.  LA is going to be amazing.  I'll be staying with a friend but if anyone wants to suggest a restaurant they know or something/place I absolutely HAVE to check out, let me know.

My plan is low key, though I will be stopping by Kat Von D's High Voltage Tattoo shop.  Check it....www.highvoltage.com.   I'd love to get a new tat there but haven't figured out what I want or where.  Perhaps some idea will solidify between now and my b-day.

The excitement is almost too much to bare anymore. So, hit me with your tips and hotspots, folks.  I am all about checking the 'must dos' and 'neverminds' of LA.

"It's better to burn out, than fade away!"

Peace, love and much gratitude to all of you.

20:23 - saying thanks

Taking this moment to say thanks to all my friends. You who support me, call me up to do things and hang out with me from time to time.  You make my world a happier place.  You provide me with opportunities to see and do new things, to meet new people and get out of my house...or if we stay in the house, you provide me with hours of companionship and laughs.  You know who you are and this is for you. THANK YOU!  Special love and hugs for all of you.
