A Nashville State of Mind is a story of a band's entry into Nashville Tennessee's ever-growing alternative music scene and the community of "transplant" musicians, who left everything behind to pursue their dreams in Music City. Inspired by Samantha Gibb (daughter of the late Bee Gee Maurice Gibb) and her band M.E.G.'s move to Nashville after her father's passing, this music filled documentary shines a light on the younger musicians that form the scene that is also viewed in light of the local music industry. We get to drop in on Jeremy Lister, Autovaughn, Katie Herzig, Kyle Andrews, Aaron Winters, Ricky Young, Leigh Nash, Courtney Jaye, Brooke Waggoner and others. We get a glimpse of the lives of these musicians/songwriters who struggle to follow their dreams day in and day out. A Nashville State of Mind also includes special guest appearances from industry professionals like Hank III, Jody Williams (BMI), Dan Keen (ASCAP), and Doc McGhee and Scott McGhee (McGhee Entertainment).
In attendance: Samantha Gibb, John-Martin Vogel, Eric LaRocca Mainade
I will be having some of my work featured in the Documentary.

I received this email from Flickr.com: Hello cariephoto,
We've changed the safety level of your photostream to "moderate".
As per our Community Guidelines, content like that in your account is not considered "safe" for everyone to view. You may or may not be aware that Flickr has a Safe Search system. When people browse or search on Flickr, they can filter what they see based on a safety level that they are comfortable with - either Safe Search is on, set to moderate, or off. In order for Safe Search to work, we relying on *you* to filter your content appropriately. As you upload stuff to Flickr, you need to make sure that you're applying appropriate filters (safe, moderate or restricted) and telling us what sort of content it is (photos, screenshots, art & illustration). If you don't apply filters correctly, there's a very good chance another member will let us know - in fact that's why we've taken action today. (No need to be upset - it's every member's right to let us know if they ever feel uncomfortable. Yours too.)
We want Flickr to be a place that everyone can enjoy. That means making sure that potentially offensive content is filtered from public, safe areas of the site. If you read our Community Guidelines, you'll see the key points are: play nice, upload photos that you have taken yourself, and respect the fact that there are millions of people visiting Flickr who may not see the world the same way you do. Use your common sense about whether or not your content is suitable for a global, public audience. If the answer is no, you need to filter it from public view. You should also know that if we receive another report about your content or conduct, it's very likely we'll terminate your account.
So, please take a moment to find out how to work with safety levels, use 'em, and everybody's happy!
I received this email from Flickr yesterday. I am very dissappointed in this company now. I have been a flickr member since 2004. Not once have I ever gotten any message from anyone being offended by any of my photographs! I am shocked that someone actually was offended. The main thing, Flickr did not even tell me what photo/photos were the offending photos. I feel that if it were any of my nude photos then quite frankly, I am saddened by the lack of taste in the person offended. So many times I see nudes that show the whole body. Not one of my photos show any genitalia, which I could see possibly offending someone. What kind of world do we live in where what is shown on television is much more risque than any of my fine art nudes. How many sculptures and paintings from long long ago are highly regarded as the true meaning of art? Why is it that a photograph of the same thing is offensive to that person, and the other forms of art are not? Also, Never did I receive an email from Flickr staff saying that I HAVE to categorize my work as "moderate" "safe" or "not" . The bad part.. because my account is set to moderate, now, when you go to: www.flickr.com/photos/cariephoto if you are not logged in, it says you have to be a flickr member before you can view this page. This is not good for business. Many times I have clients that want to look at my flickr page. They shouldn't have to join flickr just to do that.

1:21 AM - Name Change? What’s This?
Category: Life
About 17 years ago I acquired this last name, Thompson. Two years later, the name change reason aka marriage ended, and instead of wisely going back to my maiden name, I kept his last name. Well, I am in the next phase of my photography career and have my website in development. Searching for a domain name with the last name Thompson made me think. What if I ever marry again, then what? I thought long and hard and realized that I need to establish my name with my maiden name now before its too late. I checked, and sure enough www.carieburchfield.com was available! And for those individuals that haven't noticed or realized that I have only ONE 'r' in my first name, www.carrieburchfield.com was bought ... Thanks to mom for making it difficult.. giggle. SO there it is.. I am getting the public used to seeing my maiden name and one day soon, and will officially drop Thompson legally changing my name back.. I have been getting emails congratulating me on getting married, and haven't even been asked yet.. so I figured a blog was due. Thanks! ~Carie
