PEOPLE PEOPLE PEOPLE!!!! how do i express what just went down at the CUTTING ROOM??!! just an INSPIRING evening. i am in love with the music i was able to be a part of. so many talented writers and musicians all on one stage in one night! WHAT?!! i mean the genius of MARITRI, my bestie JENI FUJITA's ridiculous voice, GANESSA JAMES' infinite talent, SHELLEY NICOLE's crazy funky behind, ANNEKEI with her angel soul and DAVID holdin it down for the men! i mean it was just magical if you weren't there to witness it. THANK YOU for all the love shown by my dearest friends and my new myspace friends who came out to support. you know who you are! i am humbled and blessed by your presence. it was a glorious night. until the next time....

DANNY SIMMONS’ CORRIDOR GALLERY

First of all a big hug to everyone who came out to support an evening of the arts sponsored by Danny Simmons' at his Corridor Gallery. I was thrilled to be asked to open (and close) a beautiful evening of poetry, art and music. My first "engagement" as a guitarist as well as a vocalist. Thanks to Hendrik Helmer for lending his talent on guitar. I couldn't have done it without him! It was a pleasure to be among so many smiling faces and warm hearts on a cold Brooklyn evening! We listened to the words from the pen of Ricci Niles, an insightful poet and daughter of jazz flute great Bobbi Humphrey ("Harlem River Drive") who illustrated Ricci's poetry with her harmonics.
