We have two exciting pieces of news for you today on the Witchy Chicks blog (http://witchychicks.blogspot.com)

As you can see, we've changed our look, AND we've changed the roll call there. The Witchy Chicks have grown by one. We had planned to stop at nine but had to open our doors for a woman we all care about, a woman who's a brilliant writer and funny, whose outlook on life has inspired us all, especially with recent events in hers.

May I present the newest member of the Witchy Chicks: Maggie Shayne, the NYT bestselling author of over forty novels, including the Twilight Vampire Series.

I want to mention here that Maggie recently lost a good share of her house in a fire, and two of her beloved dogs. Her fortitude, her courage, and her optimism through this tragedy has been nothing less than amazing, and it only made me admire her spirit more.

Our second piece of news is this:

The Witchy Chicks will be running a monthly contest. Yes, that's right, every month one of us will be giving away a signed book to one winner. To enter this contest, you just comment on at least one post during the month (more than a 'yeah, I agree' one liner, though, folks *grins*). The winner will be announced on the first Sunday of the next month. We'll have a reminder on the sidebar of how this works, too.

For the month of March, we'll include all comments made up until now. Of course, we Witchy Chicks are exempt from our own contest, so our comments don't count. And because Linda's new book, 50 Ways To Hex Your Lover, just came out this month, that's the first book up for giveaway! So start communicating, people, and you could win a free book. ~smiles~
