Ugly Heaven, Beautiful Hell - now available
Category: Writing and Poetry
My novella Ugly Heaven co-published with Beautiful Hell by Jeffrey Thomas is now available. Check it out

Jeffrey Thomas and Carlton Mellick III collaborate on their own twisted visions of heaven and hell. UGLY HEAVEN At one point in time, Heaven was a paradise. It was a blissful utopia full of wonders far beyond human comprehension. But that was a long, long time ago. The afterlife is now in ruins. It has become an ugly, lonely wasteland populated by strange monstrous beasts, masturbating angels, and sad man-like beings wallowing in the remains of the once-great Kingdom of God. As two recently departed souls arrive in Heaven, they discover their eternal home is not one of divine peace but of nightmarish ugliness. So they go on a quest to explore this dead alien landscape, desperately seeking answers, allies, and some sort of place they can forever call home. BEAUTIFUL HELL A writer named Frank Lyre finds himself damned to an afterlife where Demons and Angels are equally sadistic and conflicted, where torturers become seducers, where Jesus likes to sit for a pleasant chat and God is not only going through monstrous changes to His body, but a personal crisis that might forever change His vision of creation. Beautiful Hell is a sequel of sorts to Jeffrey Thomas's acclaimed novel Letters From Hades, but stands on its own as a harrowing study of damnation and regeneration, physical passion and emotional pain, faith and rebellion, and the conflict between the spirit and the flesh.
PS - I have two more books coming out within weeks

BIZARRO CENTRAL - now live
Love Bizarro fiction? This is the place for you! Don't know about Bizarro fiction? This is the place to learn more!
BIZARRO CENTRAL

Bizarro Central is the major hub for the Bizarro genre. It acts as a resource for all those new to Bizarro, a fan site for those who love Bizarro, an online community, and an online bookstore.
With fiction, articles, comics, podcasts, author profiles, interviews, reviews, and much more.
Right now we have fiction by Steve Aylett, D. Harlan Wilson, Vincent W. Sakowski, and John Edward Lawson.
There's a Bizarro comic, "The Eye Hand of the Carolinas," by Andrew Goldfarb.
And a podcast of Mykle Hansen reading from his upcoming Bizarro novel "HELP! A Bear is Eating Me!" ... the gruesome comedy about a go-getter business man who is trapped under his SUV in the middle of the woods and slowly being eaten by a bear. Mykle is a great performing reader, so subscribe to this podcast and hear a chapter a week for free, before the paperback is released in October.
I hope you check it out. Post in the forum and say hi.

new book - Sausagey Santa
Coming soon ...

Plot:
For Matthew Fry, inventor of the 'Sly Guy' haircut, life at the North Pole just isn't what he expected. The elves are way too obsessed with playing Dungeons and Dragons, the reindeer have a tendency of exploding for no apparent reason, and Santa is a piratey mutant with a body made of sausages.
Christmas is in jeopardy when Frosty the Neo-Nazi Snowman of Satan steals Santa's bag of presents, and Sly Guy Matthew Fry is called upon to help get it back. Along with Decapitron, his brutish wife who has a Christmas fetish, a candy cane sword, and the heart of an evil Transformer, Sly Fry must journey to the South Pole to do battle with Frosty's legion of zombies and demonic snowmen. Will Christmas be saved? Will Sly Fry's groovy hairdo ever get the admiration it deserves? Is Burt Reynolds Elf really as badass as he seems? All will be answered and more in SAUSAGEY SANTA, Carlton Mellick III's bizarro Christmas tale for adults.

New Book - War Slut
My novella, War Slut, is out now. I like to think of it as an absurd dystopian future story told within the script of an action horror video game.

"In a future where everyone in the world has been drafted into the military, there is only one enemy left to fight... ourselves."
