Only 16 sleeps!!   I can't wait!    Don't forget to let me know if you wanna meet up while I'm at home. My English mobile is playing up but I think the sim card is ok (Mum's gonna lend me a phone when I get home).  If anyone wants the number (UK one), new address (here in Spain) or email address to keep in touch then let me know.  Still no internet, not a clue when it'll be sorted.

new address and stuff

Just a quick note to say I hope everyone is ok.  I'm in the middle of moving to a new flat so I have no internet and very little time (I'm at work now, a class has been cancelled).  I'll be getting internet in the new flat but I'm not sure if it'll be now or in October (I'm away - at home - in September). 

If anyone wants the new address or to meet up while I'm home then let me know.

Update.
Current mood: happy but sad

I decided I should keep everyone updated (or those who read this anyway).  My knee is (finally) better and I can walk without thinking "ouch ouch ouch" ... still can't run though.  Good job I don't like running, ha ha ha.

At the end of the month I move  and I can't wait.  I'm moving into a little flat all on my own.  It's just been done up so it's all new (posh kitchen stuff - all Balay and Bosch) and I'll be the first person to use it. I won't have a landline or internet at first but will let you all know as soon as I get it sorted.  If anyone wants the new address let me know and I'll send it on.

Work is the same as ever.  Angeles is on holiday for two weeks so last week and this week coming I have to be all alone in academy.  Had some bad news ... a friend's Dad is in the hospice (he has cancer) and she doesn't think he'll be coming home again   So please keep my friend and her family in your thoughts and prayers.  The other bad news is that my auntie has left my uncle ... I cried for aaaaages last night ... I spent a lot of time with them when I was little and it's the same as telling me that my parents have broken up (except that Mum and Dave have been married for just over 2 years and my auntie and uncle got married before I was born).  We're all hoping it's a temporary thing as there's nobody else involved ... it looks like it's a rough patch that can be sorted out.  I hope so!!! 

The good news is that my other auntie is out of the hospital (she's been very ill) and it looks like she'll get better

Only 46 sleeps til I go home and 9 sleeps til I get the keys to the new flat.  Hope everyone is ok and having better weather than here (it's pissing it down and hasn't stopped all day).

Birthday Boy!

Today is my baby's birthday so ... HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSÉ LUIS!!!!  I made him a cake (which he said was yummy) and bought him a pressie (well, one decent pressie - a wallet - and a few daft things - sweeties and a mug ... it's quite cute, it's like a blackboard and comes with chalk so you can draw on it, ha ha ha).

I went to the doctor's this morning about my knee.  According to her some part of it is inflamed or summat like that ... she's given me some crappy medicine (have to dissolve it in water and it tastes soooo yucky) that so far hasn't had any effect whatsoever on my knee but makes me feel like throwing up.  If it's no better in a few days I'll go back.

Other than that not much to say.  64 sleeps until I go home :o)  Take care and keep smiling :o)

I'm soooooooooooo hungry.  My lunch should be ready soon, it's in the oven.

Yesterday I drove to Allariz and back without getting lost and with no help or maps!!  I'm sooooo proud of myself!!

Today is gonna be a typical Sunday ... a pretty lazy day and I'll clean and I have to do the ironing, I can't put it off for any longer.  I'm getting worried about my plants!!  I hope they don't die!!

Just a quick update ...

 ... to let everyone know I'm still alive.

Been working lots and so have only been able to get online for a few minutes to check emails and sometimes leave a message. Only 69 sleeps until I go home    José Luis is 27 on Wednesday so next weekend I suppose we'll go out or have a party, not sure yet.  One of my students was preparing a Trinity exam (she had it yesterday) and got REALLY good marks ... an A and a B ... so I'm really happy about that.  Another student failed English at school ... I don't know what else to do ... she's fine in class and then fails all the exams ... I don't know why 

Anyway, I think that's about it for now.  I'm gonna finish my lunch and get back to work.  Take care, have a nice weekend and keep smiling

74 sleeps ...
Current mood: tired

... until I go home and finally get my HOLIDAYS!!!!! 

What a week!!  Lots of work, as usual.  German exam on Wednesday which I pased (still can't believe it)!!  The meal with everyone from German class and the teacher on Wednesday night and a meal at Steffi's flat on Thursday.  Then out for Steffi's leaving party on Friday (I had to go home early though) and Natalia's graduation yesterday!!  I'm soooooooooo tired!!  Today I stayed in bed most of the morning.  This afternoon I cleaned the kitchen (with Dani's help), helped Natalia to scrub her white (and very expensive) jacket with stain remover and a toothbrush (had red make-up stains on it, long story) and went for a walk around the medieval market that was on this weekend with José Luis, Rosa and Dani.  Now I'm just checking my emails and trying to decide if I should do some ironing or not.

In shock ...

... because I actually passed all the German exams!!!    I still can't believe it, I'm sooooooooooooooooooo happy!! 

We had the listening and speaking yesterday afternoon ... the second part of the listening exam was horrible, it was sooooooo hard!!  And the speaking, well, it wasn't too bad ... I tried my best.  They told us that the marks would be up at lunchtime today.  Last night we went for a meal ... most of us from class and the teacher.  We were planning on giving her lots of wine to see if she would tells us who passed before the official date.  When she arrived the first thing she said was ... "Congratulations!  Everyone from this group passed!" ... so we saved ourselves the hassle, ha ha ha

Anyway, for now that's it.  I'm going to Steffi's house for a meal tonight with some of the teachers she works with.  A busy week this week ... I'll be knackered on Sunday!   

Well, I'm going to have something to eat and then get my classes ready for this afternoon.  I hope everyone is ok.  Keep smiling

Another lazy Sunday
Current mood: relaxed

It's finally Sunday    My knee is still REALLY sore so I think I'll have to get an appointment at the doctor's next week    I hope it goes away before then, not my knee, the pain.

I only had to work in the morning yesterday which was soooooooooo nice ... I love having an afternoon off to see my friends or just stay at home and relax.  I went shopping with Rosa and Steffi to buy Noelia's birthday pressie and then I went for a late lunch with Rosa.  Then we went to buy Steffi's leaving pressie (she goes back to Germany later this month).  We weren't sure what to get her and she saw a bikini that she liked so we got her that.  I'm going to get her a necklace as well ... there's some with these funny face symbol things that protect you, they're typical in this part of the country.  We ended up getting ourselves a couple of things too, hee hee hee ... I got a skirt and a dress (me ... a dress ... unbelievable!!!).  I wore the dress to Noelia's birthday party last night.  I didn't stay too late coz I was knackered and the smoke was killing me.  It was a good night though and she loved the pressies  

Today I only have a few plans ... other than the usualy stuff of a nice hot shower and making lunch ... and of course I have to clean the living room and my bedroom and then do the ironing.  Other than that I'm going for a drink (probably tea, ha ha ha) with Rosa and Dani at 6pm, as Dani finishes work.  I'm going to phone my Mum for a natter this afternoon/evening and then José Luis is coming round later.  We had a bit of an argument last night, was weird as hell and it was awful ... but we sorted it all out and everything is ok now 

Next week is gonna be a busy week ... work as usual, German exam on Wednesay afternoon and at night we're all going for a meal together, a meal at Steffi's on Thursday, Steffi's leaving night out on Friday and Natalia's graduation on Saturday ... I'll be half dead by next Sunday!!

Anyway, I'm going for a nice, looooooooong, hot shower.  Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.  Take care and keep smiling

I actually passed my German exam!!    I think I'm still in shock!!  Now I just have to pass the listening and speaking ... the listening should be ok (unless I have a really bad day) but the speaking is a different story ... it's the shittiest part for me.  Oh well ... I've got until Wednesday to get ready for it!  Wish me luck!!
