Earache my EYE!!
Current mood: distressed
Speaking of Cheech and Chong, what UP with my EAR??!!??
So, my friends, I have been suffering for the past few weeks with this vicious ear ache/head ache combination. It drove me so crazy with pain and agony that I had to succumb to going to the Doctor's Office on Monday. I thought it would help or at least provide insight, but alas, no.
Tomorrow I have an appointment with a specialist, which should help me, I hope. Until then, I just wish I could HEAR!! And the pain in my head, man, I could really deal without IT. Also, I hate to have to be missing work, but I can't quite focus with this ear/head craziness. I'm hoping the specialist can help my poor ears, I love hearing!! I miss it SO!!
I hope everyone out there is having the best of times, or at least the better of times... Thanks for listening!! (Listening... EAR... LOL!!)

10 things for BlogTag, ta-da!!
Category: Podcast
Hello friends!
My friend Katie has blog-tagged me, so here goes!:
"Here's how you play: Once you have been tagged, you have to write a blog with 10 weird or random things, facts, or habits about yourself. At the end, you choose 10 people to be tagged & list their names. Then leave a comment that says, "You're it" on their profile and ask them to read your blog. You can't tag the person who tagged you. It's the perfect excuse to praise fellow bloggers & it gives people something to do when they're bored. Tweak your entry or comments as you see fit."
I am flattered to be blog-tagged, as it will give me a chance to come up with something fun for a blog, rather than, "I love everyone" or "I'm really sick today" or "Chips sure are tasty!"
Thank you, Katie! I think another person tagged me one time also, so if you read this, I'm sorry I forgot to do it before!!
Here goes nothing...!!
1. I secrectly wish I was Chris Cornell.
2. I have this wierd obsession with a song now and then, and I have to hear it but I won't let myself hear it until I clean my room. It is really frustrating, sometimes I don't get to hear the song for a long time.
3. I sometimes pretend like I am in a movie, but then I think, I would NOT wear this on camera!!
4. I wish I spoke Spanish better than I do, but I am grateful I know it well enough.
5. I often contemplate total rebellion to all things I know, but typically I have a salad and calm down.
6. I often think of shaving my head, but I doubt I ever will. I used to have very short hair, which some of my friends recall, but now I am happier with the longer hair. The shaved head thing just seems liberating somehow.
However, I'm sure I'd miss my hair like five minutes later...
7. I believe in almost everything a little bit.
8. I still secretly wish I was Chris Cornell.
9. Every time I hang out with my close friends, I am happier than any other time. I almost always have a great time, I am fortunate to know some wonderful people. And some of them for years and years!!
10. I plan to do something interesting with my life, it's just been on the backburner...
Now I have to tag ten people, because this is how it works!! So, I'm going to tag some people...
1. Etsuko
2. Elise
3. Mike
4. Mikki (will you write a blog for me, please?)
5. Roxanne (same, a blog?)
6. Sarah (Harriett's Mommy)
7. Konichiwa, bitches (c'mon Smoothie, you know you want to!)
8. Clem (do it!)
9. Babycomb (I want to know more about Babycomb!)
10. My bro, Erik (I know you won't do it, but whatever... )
To all of you not tagged by me, I hope you know I love you, too!

Saying Goodbye...
Current mood: melancholy
This week I had to say goodbye to my close friend, my beautiful dog, Sammy. He was my best friend, my baby, my doggy... he was a part of the last fourteen years of my life and at least half of all of my memories. And he was such a good boy, always. So gentle and sweet, truly.
I treasure my memories with him, he was my good friend and I am thankful for that. I am thankful for all of my friends, but animal friends are so extra-special... you know??
Sometimes things have to change, even when you don't really want them to. It's a good thing, really. Time for change, some bad, but most good changes, for the best... I hope.
God bless my little doggy!! How lucky I was to have him!!
Still, I hate to have to say goodbye... :(

"I'm so full of love, I could burst apart and start to cry..."
Current mood: pensive
Some of you might recognize that quote, and for those who do not, let me explain...
There is a song by Jefferson Airplane called, "Today" which I love very much. In fact, I think it is the most perfect song ever. The words say:
"Today, I feel like pleasing you more than before, Today, I know what I want to do, but I don't know what for. To be here for you is all that I want to do... to be loving you, it'll all be there when my dreams come true."
I can't recall if that is first verse or second, but man!! So heavy! I love it.
Now I need to go and listen to that song...
Valentine's Day just made me think about that song, it is so lovely. I hope you all had a nice day today, mine was really odd, but totally great!
"To go on from here, I can't use words, they don't say enough..."
Much love to you, my friends!

"I'm just mad about Saffron..."
Current mood: content
Well, hello there, my myspace world of friends!
This is my first blog of 2006! Hooray!
I chose to head this with that line from "Mellow Yellow" since that song seems to be following me lately. I am not disappointed at all, since I enjoy that song. I do not, however, like to smoke bananas. I only recently read about the context of that song, and I got really excited about it since I love that Zappa song, "The Blue Light" in which he refers to the whole "banana smoking" affairs and the silliness of such things. I get it now!! Woo!
I don't have much to say in this blog, really. And I cannot top that Duckman Monologue, since it is sheer brilliance. I would like to say a lot of cool and/or interesting things, but since this is my internal monologue, it could go downhill pretty fast.
"I'm so sleepy. Hmm. Gosh, I love those Mission Tortilla Chips... but just the ones shaped like a strip, not those larger ones. Why are tortilla chips so large sometimes? I guess it is for a topping of some sort. I don't really do topping on chips. I'm just not really into that. Yeah, I really like cookies, too, but I can't eat that right before sleeping."
So you see, my friends, this is just not spectacular at all! BUT! Oh! Here is something fantastic. My friends!! Hooray for my friends!
I guess my moment of deep, meaningful therapy has passed. In the end, anything I was upset about is obviously cured with a tortilla chip related story. Feel free to share a tortilla ship story of your own!!
This will be a very good year, this 2006. Thanks for reading, friends!! May this year bring many blessings for all!

I found the Duckman monologue! Yes!!
Current mood: sleepy
Oh my god, yes, I have been thinking about this for years... behold!! Enjoy!!
From Duckman, Series 3, A Room with a Belleview:
"And when you think about it, isn't that exactly the point?
Parking.
And driving. And shopping. And eating. And working. Somewhere, somehow, they're different now, none of 'em are the same, they all got chewed up and spat back out, and they don't taste like living anymore! Don't you see what it's like in this deranged Waring Blender of a world?! Every day is an agonizing ordeal, like balancing a pot of scalding water on your head while people whip your legs and butt...
(smiles)
You never forget your senior prom...
(back to anger)
YOU think I'm "sick"?! Well the only disease I've got is "Modern Life," a schnutbusting gauntlet of inefficiency and misery that's one long parade of let-downs, put-downs, trickle downs, shutouts, freezeouts, sell-outs, numnuts, nincompoops and nimrods, all making every day as much fun as waxing a flaming Pontiac with your tongue, where even if you do luck into the possibility of some fleeting pleasure, like, say, if some nymphomaniac telephone operators with the muscle control of Rumanian mat-slappers agree to a little Strip Air Hockey, it'll be over before it starts 'cuz some vowel-lacking, feta-reeking cab-jockey slams his Checker up your hatchback and the cab is owned by some pinata spanker from a Santeria cult in Xoacalpa who starts shaking chicken bones at you and gives you a boil on your neck so big all it needs is Michael Jordan's autograph to make it complete, and even with all this, with ALL THIS, I still drag my sorry butt off the Sealy every morning and stick my face in the reaping machine for one more day, knowing when it's time to flash the cosmic card key at those Pearly Gates, I won't be in the coffin anyway 'cuz some underhanded undertaker sold my heart, pancreas and other assorted Good 'N' Plenty to that same Santeria cult so does anybody really wonder why anybody is hanging onto sanity by the atoms on the tips of their fingernails while Life dirty-dances on their digits, and is it really any wonder that I seem DERANGED???!!"
But...heh-heh... that's probably nothing you haven't heard a hundred times before..."
Oh Duckman, I couldn't 'a said it better... !!

Sick Day
Current mood: sick
I was home sick from work today. Ugh. I still feel horrible, but the plan is to wake up and stick my head in the reaping machine once again... wasn't it Duckman who used that expression once??
I love Duckman. Oh, I should have watched Duckman all day!! But alas, I just slept and did dishes mostly... oh yes, and played around on Myspace a bit... just a bit... he he...
I love how Dweezil Zappa did Ajax's voice, how cool is he!?
Oh, Duckman, what a brilliant show... sigh...
So long, sick day... hello work tomorrow...
"...and is it really any wonder why I seem DE-RANGED??"
Hmm, I gotta remember that whole monolague and repost it...

If you're fond of silly quizzes...
Current mood: giddy
Okay, if you love silly quizzes, this is definately for you. I found this one on my friend Augustina's page (thanks, Augustina!) and thought it was a good one! I was eager to post it since I do live in a bathroom and have a fondness for Sir Mix-a-Lot and, as you all know, Jesus really, really is my homeboy. So, if you like, take this quiz... and get yo' posse on Broadway, sucka!!
