REVIEW OF A WAGER OF BLOOD BY J.W. COFFEY
This story hooks you from the title and keeps you under its spell from beginning to end. I found myself staying up all night, reading until my eyes could take no more. I became lost in the story, much like the main characters become lost in a bloody past. They must fight their way through that past (and some pretty nasty demons) to save their present and futureā¦and each other.
Meg invites her best friend Frankie to visit her in New Hampshire, promising a nice vacation. Frankie is naturally inquisitive, a trait that gets her in serious trouble. An ancient evil lurks within the walls of the historic Thornton Inn, managed by Meg’s husband Zach and owned by the mysterious Thornton family. One by one, Frankie, Meg, Zach, and Frankie’s husband Sean find themselves drawn into a battle for their individual sanity, their marriages, and their very lives.
Hundreds of years ago, a legacy of bloody horror began with a roll of the dice. Will it end with another roll? Get your copy of A Wager of Blood and find out!
