LA

This is my third time in LA.
But i still don’t know very well this city, because it is too huge.
I just stay here for two days only.
Will head to Miami to attend WMC.
I am so glad can meet too many friend that we haven’t seen long time in there.
Such as: Jody, Nick from Way Out West.
When i arrived LA, my friend Anthony pick me up. The radio is playing David Bowie "This is not American". The feeling is so funny.
I am in American now.

Bjork & Miami

Long time haven’t write something in here.
My life still fly around the Asia, from HK to Beijing, Shanghai, KL and Taipei.
Finally I have met Damian Taylor (Stone Lions) in HK. He came with Bjork for her tour.
Nice to meet him in Hong Kong, we have a good time.
And he introduce Jonas Sen (an amazing pianist) and my hero Mark Bell (LFO) to me. When I shake hand with Mark. I feel so numb, because he is my hero and figure for me.
Chelxia and me has attend Bjork concert.
The show is wonderful. She always give me surprise.
I still remember last time i watched her show in HK 1996, she brought Plaid, coba.
This time she bought 10 brass player.
In the show, not only Bjork perform is wonderful.
Damian always jump up and down.
I am so surprise, he is not a producer, programmer, keyboard player only, he is a good performer.
Jonas very cool piano playing, Mark Bell like a head quarter control the beat.
After the show we go to the after party, Damian introduce Bjork to me.
She is wonderful, and nice to meet her in person.
Follow her music since 1987, this is the first time i finally can face to face met her.
I am so exciting, i will head to Winter Music Conference this year.
This is my first time attend this kind of conference and party.
I will meet too many friend in there, such as: Jody and Nick from Way Out West, Adam Freeland, Alex Metric (he is the coming star producer and DJ, trust me), Steve from Hope recording.
And my boss Chelxia will come with me. This is her first time attend the event too.
We will meet most of the remix album producer and DJ in there, such as Hyper and Starcase.
I know it is a wonderful trip for me.
Hope can bring some good news after i back from Miami.

RE: Remix album

Hello! Everybody.
I am in LA now, the weather in here is so nice.
I am staying in my friend house in North of LA.
I just finished mastering of Chelxia Chan remix album in New York.
The master still mastering by my hero Ted Jensen.
Which feature Howie B, Guy Sigsworth, coba (Japan), Way Out West, Sigor Ros/ Frukker, The Grid, Starcase and many more.
It will release on next year in Europe under Hope Recording.
And please note the track listing and remix track will be different between Asian and European version.
Will update inform.

tibet

Long time haven't compose in here.
I just back from Tibet.
the most beautiful and mystery place in the world.
I think I am so lucky to go there, I never expect to go tibet.
Why i can go? because Chelxia have a charity event for Life time express.
This charity organization which is help the people in China which have contracts, and help them to see the world again.

After we visit the doctor who work in Lhsar and help them to shoot a tv program.
We have few day for sight seeing.
I have read so many book about tibet, and watch too many tv program and pic before in the past.
But i think it have change a lot now.
Lhsar is very modern city, too many tourist in there.
Their cinema is showing Transformer.
So seem not like the past.
And we have go to the open market in Lhsar.
Too many people can speak english!!!!
I am so surprise.
but after we out of town, we can see the typical tibet.
Sheepkeeper, Sheep and cow.
their life still very simple.
They still life in their own style.
I think they are quit enjoy their life.
I have try to talk with them, but it is hard to, because they can't speak Mandrian.
We want a translator to translate their language to mandrian.
If you want to go to tibet in the future.
You must take a train go there first and back by plane.
When you take a train, you will watch a nice view of Tibet.
beautiful lake, amazing grassland....
And you will feel.
Thanks God this is the last paradise in the world.

Remix album

Long time haven't compose my blog, it is so hot in HK.
Good news Chelxia Chan remix album almost finished, and it will release soon later.
And the album will release by Hope recording in Europe. Asia still not confirm which label will release it. But will let you know later.
This remix album will featuring Producer, musician, DJ include: Guy Sigsworth, Howie B, The Grid, coba (Japan Accordion), Hyper, Adam Freeland, Way Out West, Martin Buttrich, Chris Coco, Stone Lion, Faultline, Starcase, John Fryer, Frakkur (Sigor Ros singer Jonsi's solo project, he recreate a song)
And we will go to Tibet on July with Life time express to do some charity work.
Chelxia's album "Fly Our Dreams" promotion tour nearly finished.
After almost one year to do the promotion, Chelxia back to KL to prepare her coming new album and other new project.
We just sign a male artist, he is from Malaysia.
His new album is recording now and will release around Sep or Oct this year.
His name will announce later.

Unicorn (Howie B summer time remix)

Long time haven't go to write something in here.
So tired in these few week.
Chelsia and me still working on promotion of the album "Fly our dreams".
But for good the second single from the album "Unicorn (Howie B summer Time mix) - Ste Wong feat Chelsia Chan" just chart in the radio and tv.

And my old colleague Horace Wai just join our company.
He is very strong on promotion and marketing.

And we will have some new interesting to do in the future.

It is 1st of Feb.
I just back from KL.
Thanks for the people from Malaysia and fans of Rain, they are very wonderful and create a good night in the concert.
And also Rain and his band, dancer and crew, they had made a wonderful night for KL.
It is very amazing.
Rain peformance is very good.
After watching his live, I know why Korean artist can be sucessful.
It is time to close to Chinese new year.
I will be back to Taipei to celebrate.
Will have some new planning after new year.

Rain live in KL

Long time haven't compose my blog.
After finished promotional tour with Chelsia in Taiwan and Hong Kong. We have a short break between promotion in Hong Kong.
One day, my boss Chelsia asked me "Do you think if we orgainaze Rain live in KL is interesting thing?" I said "Yes, it is cool!"
Because a promotor in KL have ask my boss to join Rain live in KL. She think it is so interesting. This is our third time to be a promotor to orgaainaze show.
I think it is so cool. Chelsia is very famous in Korea, and she is live in KL now.
The link between KL and Seoul, Rain and Chelsia.
I think it is very intersting.
I will go to KL to prepare the show and doing some promotion meeting in there.
Actually the CD have release in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
It will release in China on March.
And in this year, we have so many planning to do.
After we finished the promotion tour.
We will start other planning in this year.
2007 is another exciting year for me and M3C.

LA, New York Pt2 with Sonic Youth

It is so amazing, I have lost contact with Sonic Youth's drummer Steve Shelly, he is one of the best drummer in the work.
All of sudden I can connect him again, and he went to my hotel and pick me up to visit new york city.
First he bring me to have some wonderful mexican food. The taste is spicy but nice.
And he bring me to some wonderful record store. And show me where is David Bowie live.
We visit CBGB, the punk movement is start in new york from here. Too many great band and artists have perform here, such as: Patti Smith, Talking Heads, Blondie, Ramous, Nirvana...
And so sad just close in the middle of Oct. So if you go to New York now, you can't reach there.
And Steve bring me to go to 911 park, we chat a lot about the movie, music and politic.
After Sonic Youth, Steve have running two label, one is SY label, another one is called Smell likes records.
SY is very expermential, Sonic Youth release some of their side project in here. Basically the project is not a song. It is a expermential piece.
Smell like records is another direction, it is more down to earth. Steve always sign some new band and help them to release record under this label.
Blondie Redhead is one of them, after release first album in Smell Likes record, they move to 4AD (another british big indie label).
Only Steve run these two label by himself, no other stuff.
It is very cool.
After 20 more years, Sonic Youth still one of the cool band in the world.
And Steve still always open his mind to welcome new music.
I am very respect Steve.
In the end, Steve brought me to a dream place.
Magic Shop Recording Studio, which Sonic Youth, Lou Reed and too many great artist recording in there.
Magic Shop Recording Studio have too many vintage gear, such as old Neve console, and other vintage instrument.
I hope someday, I can have one project done in there.
Time for say goodbye to Steve.
The American trip is end.
I quite enjoy when I am in New york, watch concert, go to muscem, old book store, record store.
And met too many funny people.
I hope i will back to New York very soon.
I miss you.
