Update with Daytona!

Over the past two weeks, Daytona has been improving a lot...but we're having a bit of trouble again.

On Monday, the week after we took her in to the vet she was walking again. Daytona was a little unstable, but she could actually walk unlike on Saturday. She slid a little on the floor, but managed. The shot and medicines were helping her a lot. The vet was so impressed with her improvement over the few days. We were beyond happy to see her a hell lot better. He gave her another shot and some more medicines. They made her pretty strong. Daytona was able to get up on thye couch by herself too. However, the vet said no going up the stairs. My mom had to carry her up the stairs every night. It turns out that Daytona probably just hurt her back somehow...but there are signs that it could be something else...such as something neurological.

But a few days ago, Daytona's progess started to fall again. It wasn't nearly as bad as it was two weeks ago, but she started to become frail again. She walked in a weird way once again. Sometimes when she walked she fell. When she sat down she just plopped her body down. She struggled to get up on the couch and sometimes we had to help her up. We're still carrying her up the stairs.

We're going back to the vet on Thursday. But the vet said that if an emergency happens, such as Daytona falls and she can't get back up, call sooner and they'll squeeze in an appointment for her. We don't know what will happen next. It's a possibility that we'll have to go to a neurologist. We may have to try a different medicine for her. I don't know. We can't make a lot of predictions right now. But, expect the unexpected.

I personally have a lot of faith in Daytona now. Because a few weeks ago, I thought it would be the last day I'd see her alive. And now that I saw that she improved...well, I thought it was some kind of miracle.

But of course I am still worried. She's my dog. My world. I think about her all the time. Nobody wants to see her go through this. But I have a lot of hope. And I hope these amazing vets can save my baby. My mom is a bit concerned with my hopes being up though. She says that if worse comes to worse, be prepared. It's really hard, because I don't want to think of anyhting bad happening to Daytona...because a few weeks ago...ugh. I don't want to be indenial either. >.<

But once again, thank you so much for all your support and for reading this. And please, please, PLEASE do not stop pulling for my pupperz. <3

Please have hope for my dog!
Current mood: depressed

Thinking back 10 1/2 years ago, around February 1998, we went to some woman's house who had a litter of puppies. They were all so cute. But there was one who stood out to us. We decided to take her. We named her Daytona.

Daytona was a hyper dog. She ran around and barked all the time when she was excited. She chewed on everything that she saw. She drove us nuts sometimes, but we still loved her. Daytona could be an overprotective and fierce dog too. She bit me twice when she was chewing on something when I was 4 1/2. I still have one of the scars.

Over the years Daytona mellowed out. She became a calm and quiet dog. Quite lazy, too. She didn't do much except lay down and sleep. She only barked when she heard something outside.

Of course I have always loved her, but over the years we became closer. Daytona always rolled over on her back; a sign that she wanted me to pet her. Whenever I entered the living room, I saw her sitting across the room. I sat down on the couch and turned on the TV. Instantly, Daytona got up and sat right next to me. I pet her while I watched the screen, looking over at her every minute or so. She licked my face and gently hit me with her paw; another sign that she wanted me to keep petting her.

I would be sitting at the computer minding my own business. I feel my arm being nudged. My arm flies up a little. I look over. It's Daytona nudging me with her snout; another sign that she wants me to pet her. I didn't mind petting her at all.

On Friday, something unusual happened. We came home from dinner and Daytona wasn't putting weight on her front right paw. She had a scared look on her face. We checked her paw to see if she had cut it or hurt it, but there was nothing. We decided to call the vet the next day.

Before the vet, Daytona's back legs were functioning weird. We started to become even more concerned. We had to lift her into the car and take her to the vet. I was extremely worried at this point.

"Mom, you don't think we'll have to put her to sleep, do you?" I asked.

"Nooooooo!" My mom said.

There was a huge pit in my stomach at this point.

We finally arrived at the vet. We took Daytona out of the car, and she started walking like a drunk person. It was painful to watch and I felt so scared. When we got to the waiting room, we made her sit down and relax.

When the vet called her name to come into the room, Daytona got up and fell. Her back legs had tottally gave out. She tried to get up again, but she wobbled and fell again. They had to pick her up and carry her into the room as my sister and I followed. My mom started crying and told us to wait in the waiting room.

About an hour passed and my mom came out of the room carrying Daytona. My mom told us that the vet said that they do not know what is wrong with her. It could be a disk in her back, kidney problems, low blood sugar, something in the nervous system etc. They gave her a shot to make her legs stronger by the end of the day. They took blood from her to examine. The vet will call us when the results were in.

When we got home we were all miserable. The only thing Daytona could do was lay on the floor.

My mom said "Cheyenne, if it turns out there's a problem with her nervous system, there's nothing they will be able to do and we'll have to put her to sleep."

I feared this, even though at first my mom said no. We couldn't help but to cry hysterically.

It's been 24 hours and the shot has barely helped Daytona with her legs. She's been sitting on the couch hanging out and sleeping. We have to bring water and food to her. We've been feeding her baby food and rice. I come and see her every now and then, but it hurts me to see her like this. I've felt terrible for the past almost-two-days. Knowing that my dog is miserable makes me miserable. My other two dogs are fine, but I'm sure they know something is wrong. Tomorrow, we will be going back to the vet.

I just want one favor from all of you. Please have hope for Daytona. Please hope that a miracle happens and she gets better. My dogs mean the world to me...and I am really close to Daytona. She is more than a pet to me...she's a family member. I do not want to lose her. I had to put one of my dogs down 5 years ago my dog was almost 15. It was the hardest thing in my life.

I also want to thank all of you for reading this blog. It means a lot to me...

Change.
Current mood: weird

Change.

It's the number one cause of stress in a human's life.

I have never been a fan of change. But the truth is, everything changes. Change can be difficult for everybody. But it's life.

It is weird looking back at last year [8th grade]. I had a group of friends and aquaintances. I almost don't know a few of those people anymore. It's not that I don't like them in any way, it's just that things changed. They moved away, found new friends, are on the other side of the school during breaks, have nothing in common with me, lost contact, etc. Howver, now I have been dealing with a lot less drama.

Looking back two years is even scarier [7th grade]. Some of the people who were cool aren't anymore. They became not-so-kind-people, dirtbags, losers, or whatever. I have a late birthday, so throughout that entire year, I wasn't even a teen yet. Wow. That's the year I reaaaallllyyyy found out who I was, and where I belonged in this world.

Don't even get my started with 6th grade....oh my god...

So overall...my friend count is pretty small now. I look different now. I'm a lot wiser/smarter now. Add ten points to all my personal characteristics. I'm a lot stronger than I ever was in general. I see improvement in things every year, and I want to keep it that way.

In life, some things get better, and some things get worse. It's scary. That's no lie. So much has changed...even from last year...I wish I could list everything.

Exactly one month from today I'll be 15. In less than a month, I'll be through with my first year of High School. I'm going to be studying Japanese at a school through the summer. I'll be going to AX for the 3rd time. I'll be a Sophomore in High School.

Last year I graduated from Middle School. I turned 14. I went to AX for the 2nd time. I basically did nothing all summer excpet go to Hawaii for the 4th time. I entered High School. I went to Japan for the first time (it had been my dream for 9 years). I got my first girlfriend.

Woah. Looking back at old pictures and reading old blogs is so freakishly weird. I looked like that? I wrote this? Holy shit, I went to Japan? No way! In 5 years [and 1 month] I'll be 20...ohhhhh myyyy goood. Holy crap! That's the day I became obsessed with Hellsing! We've been friends since I was 12?! Has it really been that long already? Man, that was only 3 years ago? Feels like 12.

Everything goes by so fast. And I bet one day I'll be looking back at this blog going....this was sooo long ago.

Death Note Movie!!!!!!
Current mood: happy

The live action DEATH NOTE movie was playing for 2 nights only!!! I pre-ordered my tickets a week ago. I was so excited to get to see this! My sister and I saw it last night. It was so AWESOME I have to type a blog about it!!!

I wasn't the only on excited though. Of course, I was there wearing my Ryuk t-shirt. But some people really went the extra mile. They brought their actual copies of their Death Note, L plushies, and everything! Some girls were there sort of dressed up like Misa. xD When we were all sitting there waiting for the movie to start everybody was going crazy (including me). When the words DEATH NOTE appeared on the screen, the audience and I all screamed and clapped. And then at random times some girl would scream "RAITO?! LIGHT?! WHERE ARE YOU?!" XD T'was funny.

The movie was in English dubbed. They used the original Japanese actors but used the voices from the English dubbed of the characters from the Death Note anime series. I'll admit that some of the dubbing was pretty bad. But you have to take into consideration that Japanese is a much different language from English, making it extremely difficult to dub it. Who knows, it probably took them 7 times just to make one line fit the character's mouth movement half-way descently.

I really don't want to give away the story too much (for those of you who have not seen it yet and plan to) but I'll give you a highlight. It somewhat follows the story line of some parts of the anime series. But I'll just give away one part: It includes the bus scene where there was the hi-jacker and Light along with his first girlfriend, Shiori. It's also where the FBI agent with the fiance is following him around and was on the bus also. Light kills the hi-jacker with the Death Note on the bus. And you all remember how he dies: he jumps out of the bus and gets hit by a car. It was so cool in the movie! "STOP THE BUS!" the hi-jacker yells. *jumps out* BAM!!!!!! Instantly, the guy gets hit and dies. The whole audience went "OOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!" Then it shows him lying there in the middle of the street with a puddle of blood streaming out of his head. The whole audience laughed when they first showed the bus; it had an advert with Misa on it! xD

As you know in the anime series, the FBI agent's fiance, Naomi, gets hung by Light using the Death Note. But in the movie something totally different happens to her. And I'm not telling you what it is. :) It's one of the coolest parts, but it's loud in the theater, so cover your ears! xD

I remember being in the theater and thinking, "Hey,...where's Ryuk?" Right then, I hear his voice, but can't see him. "Oh shit.." I thought. Then he appears. FUCKING BADASS! He was the only thing in the movie that was 3-D and animated. It was so COOL! Then whole audience cheered when he appeared. And everytime he said something, the whole audience busted up laughing. He was so funny! "You know what I think Light...you're in deep SHIT!" xDDD First time I ever heard him swear! Everything from yelling to banging his head on the ceiling because he couldn't eat apples, I think Ryuk was probably the star of the show. Then when L first appeared, all the fan girls started squealing and cheering. So cute and sexeh! xD

Another awesome thing is that the scence from the movie included somethings I went/saw while I was in Japan. They showed streets we drove by, things we could see from our hotel room's window, and the subway station we went on. My sister asked me "Hey, isn't that Nihonbashi? One of the stations we stopped at in Tokyo?" all the sudden, it said "Next stop is Nihonbashi!" "OH MY GOD!!!!" WE WERE THERE!!!!" So cool! "Hey, Chey, what if they filmed the exact same train that we were on?!" HOLY SHIT! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!

We also stayed for the afterwars stuff, such as behind the scences which was also very cool to watch. There is going to be a sequel as well...since it only ends at when Ligh and L first meet face to face. Death Note was definately a 5 out of 5 star movie! Badass, hilarious, deep, complex, great acting, etc. etc. I would go see it again in theaters if I could! If you haven't seen it yet, SEE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

America’s Next Top Model was NOT rigged!

It just said on AOL today that recent winner Whitney didn't actually "win" the competition.

On AOL, it said that Tyra Banks planned for Whitney to win on the show months in advanced. Supposedly they found her on a plane and wanted her to go on the show or some shit like that.

There have been other full figure models on the show before, however, Whitney was the first one of the plus size models to win. Anya and Whitney were in the final two. Anya is really thin, Whiney is full figure. And it so happens that Whitney won.

I was so happy that Whitney won. You probably all saw my bulletin about how excited I was. Whitney deserved to win! She took stunning photos. She rocked on the runway. She's here to show the world that you don't have to be super thin to be beautiful or model. Whitney had that special something that the judges wanted in the modeling industry!

So what I'm trying to say is, what AOL is trying to say is BULLSHIT. I'm sorry, I don't believe any of this. I bet if Anya would have won instead of Whitney, none of this would have happened. I really do believe that they're all doing this just because Whitney is plus size. She's a size 10, that's perfect. She has a body! She's a normal woman! Oh my gawd! And then this whole thing with Tyra's weight gain. People are saying she planned out Whitney to win because Tyra gained weight. Are you serious? -_-

What about last cycle? Heather was the first contestant on the show to have Asbergers and ADHD. That's a big change! She made it far in the competition, but Tyra sent her home after being in the bottom two twice. The first time she said it wasn't fair to be really leniant on Heather for her disbility. Plus, Saleisha won over Chantal. Chantal was more high fashion and took better pictures than Saleisha. They just saw something extra special in Saleisha, I guess. (I didn't want her to win >.<) And like I said at the beginning of the blog, there have been plus size models before. Sooooo why would Tyra just conveniently make Whitney win the next cycle?

I know it's a TV show, and not everything can be 100 percent truthful. But I just think the whole article was just a ridiculous attack. Gah! >.<

My Crazy Ass New York City Trip
Current mood: bored

Ok well I returned home from New York on Saturday night...and I'm finally writing a blog about it. :) It was a really good trip. Not quite as great as my Japan trip, but still good.

First of all, flying there wasn't too bad. I hate take off though. Blah. It wasn't a very smooth one. I watched the movie 30 Days Of Night during the flight. Not very good. The vampires were just cheap, and too weak. It had a pretty stupid plot. It was way too fucking long as well as predictable. Same shit kept happening. Give it 2 1/2 or 3 stars. I haven't read the graphic novel though...maybe it could possibly be better since movies based on things tend to suck.

We arrived at our room pretty late, so the next day we were pretty tired. Yet we set up a tour the next day to go to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. We really didn't want to go this day, but there were no other days available. We took the subway there. It was pretty neat. Statue Of Liberty is actually smaller than most people think. Ellis Island had a cool museum of immigration. We tried to reasearch our family history, but most of the computers there weren't working. >.< But we say other cool things. You could select an ethnicity on this machine, and it would tell you the population of that ethnicity in the state. Raaaaaad. California has the highest Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Mexican, Yugoslovian, etc. etc. New York has the most Italians, etc. A lot of the histroy there was pretty neat. Later we managed to go to Chinatown and saw some pretty cool stuff.

The next day was all about Central Park and shopping. You think Central Park is just a big ass park and nothing else. You're tottally wrong; that's exactly what I thought. We ended up taking a carriage ride through Central Park. My mom and I sat in the carriage and the dude drove us through (carriage thing is attatched to the bike). The guy was from Canada. He was really nice. He showed us everything. It turns out Central Park has a big ass playground for kids made possible by Robin Williams donating thousands of dollars to help build it, an ice skating rink created by Donald Trump (lol), a carousel, a zoo, fountains, statues, baseball field, this big ass staircase, and a lot more. The place is massive. After that the Canadian guy drove us to Tavern On The Green. We had reservations to eat there. If you ever go to NY, eat there. It's reallyyyyy good. The rest of the day was just spent shopping, bought all this designer stuff. DX

The next day included more shopping as well as a trip to Times Square. Woooooaaaaah. It is bright. If you go down there eat at Ruby Foo's. It's good. DX At Times Square we went to the M&M's World thing. It wasn't anything too amazing to me because I had already been to the one in Las Vegas. But there you can get tons of bags full of M&Ms and you get to choose from all these colors. I did mine in white and red for the Japanese flag. XD I also went into Sephora and those types of stores. Got myself some new eyeliner and mascara. But it's just insane. They have all these huge stores at Times Square. I mean the Toys 'R Us store has a fucking ferris wheel in the middle of it! Wtf?!

The next day was Natural History Museum. It's not much different from the one in Los Angeles, but it was still cool to see. I saw all the things in the Japanese exhibit. The space exhibit was pretty cool. I would have stayed longer there but there were all these bratty ass kids everywhere. >.< I managed to do more shopping...blah, blah, blah. But that night was the worst night. I had a lot of trouble sleeping that night. And then all the sudden I had a headache. But shortly after I developed the headache, I fell asleep. I woke up about 3 hours later, with my headache had grown worse. I finally got up and took some asprin. For 20 minutes I was trying to relax and fall asleep. Didn't work. My headache was killing me. It wasn't long until I got really sick and started vomiting. And after I had finished throwing up, I was just extremely weak and dizzy. My mom thought I would be ok...and even though it was a little extreme for what I was experiencing...she wanted me to go to the hospital. They actually took me in an ambulence. They put me on oxygen just to help with my dizzyness. It helped a little, but not completly. I was in the hospital for a while before the doctors came in and talked to me and stuff. Two doctors saw me, and one of them tried to treat me for Vertigo. I didn't have vertigo. o.0 But the other one said I didn't have it. It turns out that I had drunk two pots of tea that day. It made me restless, gave me a headache, and my body rejected all the caffine. I probably felt dizzy from all the throwing up. They gave me medicine, and I was fine shortly after. However, it took them forever to release me. I was there from 5 AM to 10 AM.

The next day I was feeling better but just extremely exhausted. I had only gotten about 3 or 4 hours of sleep. It was late morning when I got back to the hotel. We called in room service and I took a shower. I spent the rest of the morning watching reruns of America's Next Top Model and eating my breakfast. I fell asleep around 12, and didn't wake up until about 1:15. I wanted to go out and do something though. My mom asked me if I was feeling well enough to go out. I was feeling fine. I was just really tired. We took the subway to Ground Zero. It was where the Twin Towers had fallen in 9/11. It was quite haunting to look at. Sadly, they're building over it now. My mom cried, I was just staring at it thinking about what it would be like to be there at that time? What if somebody I loved died in this? What if it was me? *shivers* After that, we went to Chinatown again and I bought more stuff. It felt good to get out even though I was tired. That night I slept for 12 hours. @_@

Now I'm glad to be back. :)

What if there was Hellsing: The Live Action Movie...STARRING WANNABE SERAS...?!
Current mood: determined

I've been talking about this a lot lately, to the point where I am surprised nobody has taped my mouth shut. But what I want...and I'm sure a lot of you would want to see is a live action Hellsing movie. =D

I'm sure a lot of you have heard that there is going to be a Dragon Ball Z movie coming out sometime this year...that IS TRUE. The only thing I can say is ew because I was never a fan of DBZ. DX (Chow Yun Fat is going to be in it, AKA the guy who played Sao Fang in Pirates 3...he's too good to be in DBZ!!!) Anyway, there has been rumors about a Hellsing movie starting up. I'm not sure if that will happen, but some believe it could happen. I WANT it to happen though! And yes, I have a bit of hope as well. =D

My point in this blog is that I also have another dream other than the live action Hellsing movie being made. What if I could somehow be casted into the movie?! What if I could play the role as Seras?! Omfg!

I've seriously added this to my list of dreams (that's only in my head XD). I don't know even what to say...I want this soooo bad! I would almost do anything to be able to audition for this! I mean, come on! For years now people have been telling me, "If they ever make a real Hellsing movie, you should be Seras. Hands down." Words can't express how much I'd want to star in it. It's no about the fame or the money I'd get...it's about my passion.

Do I believe I could do it: hell yes. Why?

-I can pull off an English accent

-I have the height (Seras is about in the 5'5" or 5'6" range like me)

-I have the cute and innocent face

-I have the boobs...LOL

-I have the personality

-I can act

-I know Hellsing (and Seras) at the back of my hand

-I have a big obsession, passion, and drive to be able to do this.

I can picture myself in this now...oh...my...god. The scences know I will totally rock are the scence with the vicor abducting Seras (when her and Alucard first meet), Seras attacking Jan Valentine, the bizzare dream scences, and Pip's death.

I hope this to happen sooo badly. What do you think? What would your reaction be if I got the roll?

The only thing I can say is:

OMGTHISBETTERHAPPEN!!!!!!!!!

YATTO!!!!! ~

Yatto="finally" in Japanese.

Why?

Because I'm finally writing a new blog. DX

My life has actually improved...over the last past 2 days. The last past couple weeks have been SHIT. COMPLETE SHIT. >.< But now things are finally starting to work out and move along better now and I am sooo thankful for that. This week we have finals. Am I stressing out? Nope. I haven't been so relaxed all fucking year. We get out early, and to me, everything seems so much more calm without having to stress over tons of homework, essays, research papers, projects, etc. High School isn't very fun, but it's better than Middle School so I can't complain. Plus, school isn't about fun and games, and I'm lucky that I have an oppurtunity to become educated unlike some people my age in different parts of the world. Some people could give a rat's ass about learning and say they don't need to learn anything in general to continue with their lives. Well, not for me. As much as I hate school, getting and education is important to me, and I won't give up on my dream.

This is kind of out of the blue, but I have a girlfriend. =D I've actually been with her since like November 30, 2007. She's amazing and I love her! <3

So anyway...I really miss being in Tokyo. I really, really, really want to go back! DX Sure, I want to travel to many other differnt countries, but I really want to go back to Japan. I saw a lot, and there's still a lot more that I haven't seen that I want to see. I miss it so much. And unfortunatley, I'm not going to Ireland and Scotland this summer like we planned. But I'm going next Spring probabaly. =D

Anime Expo is 5 months away, and I'm already screaming everyday in exitement! XDDD!

A Fun New Year. =D
Current mood: happy

Well my family had their annual New Year's Party.

(I could only invite one friend this year, I wanted to invite more though.) So I did. I chose my friend Link. =D

It was just fun. Some of the simplest things went on but it was just a blast. XD

It was so fun because as we were downstairs eating, then all the sudden all the lights went out and it was pitch black. We were having a black out! WOOOOOO! So then we start lighting all these candles so people could actually see. But then, me and Link had the best idea. We took a flashlight, went up to my room, grabbed the Hellsing manga, and started reading and acting out Hellsing in the dark! XDDD

Then we watched Vampire Hunter D (<3 One of my most FAVORITE movies), (not the second one, but the first one that was made in 1985.) We ate and drank a lot. Laughed and talked. And when it was finally midnight we had the most fun. We took out a bunch of those popper things, AKA "snapdragons" and started cheering. We also used noisemakers. XD We were acting like a bunch of crazy fucks. We ran down the sidewalk yelling and cheering and I danced in the street. "WWWWWOOOOO!!!!!!!"

XDDDD

Then me and Link started yelling out how in a few years we would be outta this place, and in college and stuff like that. I never realized how close that really was. Sure, we still have a few years, but time is already flying by so fast. I'll be 15 in 6 months. @_@ This has been the best new year's EVER!

=D

Only one day into the year, already great, can't wait for the rest!

Trying to make things better.

What the title says.

Honestly.

From the heart.

<3

The new year is creeping up fast, and I want to make this a really good year. A REALLY, REALLY GOOD YEAR. In fact, the best year ever. 2008=best year ever. 8 is one of my favorite numbers as well. XD

I've been trying this ever since November. It's working somewhat, but I want to make it work allwhat (That's not even a word, I know. XDDDDDD)

I've been upset with the typical shit lately. School, homework, tests, projects, family, boredom, stuff not getting done when it should be done, etc. Now that it's currently Winter Break, I've been a little bit cooled down (...except for the family part). I am really busy and stressed during the week when there's school, no doubt about it. But I'm sick of seeing/feeling/experiencing the worst of things. So that's why I really want to make things better. How? By trying harder. Thinking better. Being more positive. Pulling through. Following my instincts. Becoming stronger. Basically, everything I can do.

I'm trying not to mind the past so much. Yeah, 2007 sucked for the most part, (except for June 29 was the best day of my life.) XD I was quite dissapointed, but I wantt things to be better now.

I hope to see you all in 2008, with a better perspective. =]

The Other Half of my Japan Trip

Oooook well I'm currently back from Japan but I didn't get to type up the other half of my journey...so Ima do that now. XD

November 18- Akihabara

The anime, manga, and electronics capital of the world. It was friggin amazing! Although I didn't spend very much. I actually ended up only buying something for my friend. DX Buuuut I almost died because Japan already has the manga Hellsing 9......I SAW IT!!! I'M SO JEALOUS!!!! There were a few anime stores. The one that had Hellsing 9 was 5 stories tall. But that's the only Hellsing thing they had there. =[ Nobody there spoke any English at all. But it didn't give us any trouble. There's also this really neat store there called Donkihote. (Named after the Spanish novel character "Donquijote") It was 8 stories. DX They had evetything there, lots of inexpensive stuff too. On one floor I found black pants with blood dripping down from the pocket. I wanted them but didn't buy them. =[ They even had a MASSIVE cosplay shop on one of the floors. I didn't see any cosplays I wanted though.    =[ Then on the other floors they had a massive arcade and all this other shopping stuff. There was another anime store nearby and we left because the 3 of us could could barely move around! It was so small!

November 19- Harajuku

FASHION CAPITAL OF THE WORLD!!!! They had the best clothes ever there! I'm wearing a jacket I bought there right now. XD I went looking through a store and I found this awesome jacket. It is black and long. It zips up in the front and has two zippers so you can close part of the zipper and leave the other part unzipped. It has a red coffin with a skull on it on the front and back. The long sleeves are ripped and tattered. I found the price tag and it said 22,000 yen (About equal to $22.00). I bought it and it turns out it was 99,000 yen (about equal to $99.00). Turns out I was looking at the wrong price tag; the necklace on display was 22,000 yen, not the jacket on display. DX I felt so bad for making my mom spend that kind of money. She said it was fine though, I just couldn't buy anything else. I found a cut pair of shoes and a skirt, but I didn't buy it. But there was this other store called the Oriental Bazaar. It was a tourist trap, but it had lots of beautiful traditional Japanese things. We eneded up spending a lot there. I bought a lot of things for my friends.

November 20- Traveling To Kyoto

We took the bullet train (AKA the Skinkansen) to Kyoto! It was so cool! We drove by Mt. Fuji! It was so pretty! We were going pretty fast, but you barely feel like you are moving. The train can go up to about 230 (I think) but according to my mom we were only going about 180. It's the fastest and safest train in the world, hell yes! When we reached our hotel in Kyoto, it was beautiful in the lobby. But when we got to the room, we got in and thought "what the hell?". Our room was too small and it was filthy! They stuck us in this room because the room we purchased wasn't ready. But it was horrible! There wasn't enough room to stick the 3rd bed (there were only two bed at the time), the couches had stains all over them, the bath tub looked like it was sopposed to be white but it was bright yellow, the bathroom was puny and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned very well, the carpet was dirty, the wallpaper was faded and was starting to peel off, etc. etc. My mom didn't want to be a pain in the ass, but she called the front desk and told them she wanted to switch our room. When we switched our room, it wasn't what we were sopposed to be getting, but it was better than the last room and at least it was actually CLEAN! It wasn't nearly as nice as the one in Tokyo, but at least it was decent. We went out into the city and did shopping. It's a very old and beautiful city, so there wasn't as much technology like Tokyo.

November 21- Shogun/Shrines

Once again, more shrines! It's actually kind of hard to tell a lot about this day, because it was similar to the other ones. But we actually got to learn about the life of the Shogun. A lot of things we were not allowed to take photots of. But it was interesting because we had to take off our shows before we went inside. And the floor made a lot of noise! The floors are called "Nightengale floors" because they sound like birds when you step on them. The reason why they made noise is because the Shogun coukd hear who was walking in the temple. It was very cold this day and it rained on us. But at the end of the tour, we went to this place called the craft center. There, I made a neaclace and my mom and sister did a woodblock painting. It was cool.

November 23- Tea Ceremony

This day we went to a tea ceremony...only it really wasn't like a ceremony. What they did is these people took us inside this traditional-style Japanese house. They let us pick out a kimono that appealed to us out of a drawer. I picked out a green one; it was so pretty. Then they dressed us in kimono. XD The girl in the house showed us around the house and we learned about how Japanese people drink tea when guests were over. I love tea; but some of the things she gave us tasted nasty. The green tea was thick as if she added flour to it. I wanted to be respectful, so I sucked it up and it ate it/drank it anyway. She also gave us lunch there...eh...it was disgusting. It was eel, rice, and vegtables. And as everybody knows I despise seafood and I become sick if I even smell it. I couldn't eat it so I just ate the rice. Even the rice was disgusting though. DX It had seaweed and some other gross plant in it. (I only like seaweed when it's in miso soup). Which reminds me, she later brought out miso soup. But it was white instead of brown. The girl told me that this was "Kyoto style" miso soup. I tried it and it was alright. But it was thick and milky...and it didn't taste much like miso at all. The whole ceremony all together was only about an hour. The rest of the day we pretty much did absolutely nothing. >.> We spent the rest of the day laying around watching movies. And on this day, I got scolded at the hotel returaunt by a lady for taking the wrong bowl. DX I accidently took a rice bowl instead of a soup bowl. She kept saying "Gohan, gohan!" Then I realized she wanted me to take a rice bowl. I forgot that 'gohan' meant rice. >.<

November 24- Going home

There is no airport in Kyoto, so we had to take an hour drive to Osaka. I actually wanted to stay a few days in Osaka as one of our destinations, but there wasn't enough time. (When we come back to Japan in a few years or so, we might.) Thankfully, we were very tired when we boarded the plane. This time, the flight was only 8 hours instead of 11 hours. But we had a layover so it took us 9 hours, not including the time we spent waiting. I slept most of the way home. Which is rare because I NEVER sleep on planes. I'm happy to be back, but I miss Japan. Not so much Kyoto, but I miss Tokyo a lot. <3

Ohayo Gozaimasu!!!!!!

Ohayo Gozaimasu!!!!!! [oh-hi-yoh goh-z"eye"-mahs]

English translation: Good morning!

It's Monday, November 19, 2007 4:53 AM in Japan right now...this is the beginning of my 3rd day here! JAPAN IS THE MOST AMAZING PLACE ON THE EARTH!!!! I WANNA STAY HERE FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm having such a good time here oh em geeeeeee! But so far, I'll tell of my adventure. XD

November 15---Traveling Day

As all of you know I absolutely hate planes. DX But this flight wasn't bad at all. Our plane was MASSIVE!!!! It was two stories! Our seats had plugs for computers, they folded back, had foot rests, built in TVs for movies, GPS maps that appeared on the screens to show you where you were traveling and all the distances and times, it was awesome! I watched the map on the TV a lot. What we did is we actually flew over along the coast line of the US and a little bit of Canada, part of Alaska, the Pacific Ocean, the Bering Sea, crossed the International Dateline, flew near the coast of Russia, and then into Tokyo. (I love Geography XD) I actually felt like I was dying at some points because the flight was soooooooooo long. I did better than I expected though. The flight was a total of 11 hours and 7 minutes. DX I was so happy when we landed; so happy that I started crying the tears of hapiness!!!!! And I kept saying "I can't believe we're actually here in Japan!" DX When we got off the plane, a shuttle came to pick us up and take us to our hotel. In the shuttle there was a driver and a lady from the travel agency to help us out and talk to us. Her name was Minako, a native of Japan, but she spoke very, very good English and told us that she's studying to become even more fluent than she already is. She talked to me a lot and let me practice some of my Japanese with her. She told me about places in Tokyo that I would have interest in seeing. Right when we were leaving to our room she said goodbye to us and hugged us. I miss her; she was soooo nice! DX Our hotel room is absolutely breath taking. I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened the door.

November 16---Kamakura Tour

This day we were actually sopposed to take a tour inside the Tokyo Tower, but a few days before we left we cancelled it because I wouldn't be able to go that high in a building. DX But we're all glad we did because this tour was awesome. We took a bus to a train station and met our tour guide. She told us to call her Mary. She was another native of Japan, but yet another fluent English speaker. We were on the train for about an hour, not including the time we had to switch trains. It was a lot of fun and great expierience. It's interesting because in Japan, if you need transportation, driving isn't as common as in the US. Most people travel on foot, train, or bike. When we reached Kamakura we saw many amazing things. We saw many old Buddhist temples and statues. Some things you couldn't take photographs of though. Such as old statues that were hundreds of feet high and made out of gold. @.@ Sooo amazing. We also traveled to the Great Buddha. The second largest statue in Japan. Then we went to Shinto shrines, and saw a few traditional Shinto weddings going on. They were so beautiful!!!!! There were also kids dressed up in kimono for a celebration. We learned how to pray to the Shinto gods. For me, walking down the streets of Japan is pretty interesting because of my blonde hair. I've had several people stare, point, and whisper about my hair. XDDDD This one schoolgirl saw me and kept turning back looking and kept whispering about my hair, even when she was walking away. XD I'm the only blonde there currently, so I expect that. We also met a girl who stopped us in the middle of the sidewalk to practice her English. She was wearing a pin on her jacket that said "I study English! I love English!" She did a very good job at speaking. She was fancinated with us and everytime we said something she'd smile and the group she was with would say "Oooooooooooo!" It was very flattering. We told her that she was very good at speaking English; we were very impressed.

November 17---Meiji Shrines

This was my least favorite day so far. We took a tour to the Meiji shrines. No trains this day, but we had to travel by bus. I didn't really care for our tour guide, first of all. And when we got on the bus, we couldn't sit together because we had seating arrangements. But we broke the rules because I didn't want to sit next to anybody but my sister. The tour was very short. The fact that it was short was good in some ways, but bad in other ways. It was good that it was short because it sucked, but bad because when we got to this big market area next the shrines, we had to rush and didn't get to go through the whole market. But I had enough time to buy myself a kim..D It's so pretty. I even told the lady at the kimono shop:

"Kimono wa kawaii desu!" [The kimono is cute!]

"Aaa arigato!" [Aaa thank you!]

She spoke English well but I wanted to talk to her in Japanese.

At the end of the tour, the bus dropped us off at Ginza, an area in Tokyo with many designer stores. We ended up getting lost, and we were walking around trying to find our way for two hours. A very nice lady who only spoke a little English helped us a bit. I would have let her talk to us in Japanese since I am the only one who can speak it, but my mom had more of a clue to what we were doing than I did. My sister was the one who got us back to our hotel. My mom was going the right way but she ended up making a turn to soon, so it got us lost. We were starving, so we ate before we went back to our room. We just ate inside the hotel because it is actually difficult to find resturaunts that actually have good food. xD

November 18---Today's plans and future plans!

Today we are going to Akihabara!!!!!!! The electronics, anime, and manga capital of the world!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited!!! Everything is pretty low priced so I can spend a lot!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow we are going to Harajuku, the fashion area! It will also be our last day in Tokyo. Then we will be taking the bullet train to Kyoto and we will be staying there for the rest of our trip.

=D
