FABLED ENEMIES - out now.
Category: News and Politics

One of my favourite documentaries of all time is Jason Bermas's LOOSE CHANGE, which showed a valid (and horrific) alternative to why two commercial jet liners brought down three WTC buildings on 9/11. When all the journalistic world seemed to have lost their balls over this well-managed event, Loose Change really was a ground-breaking statement on the reality of counter-intelligence and dirty-politics blighting our modern world.

FABLED ENEMIES (part one of fifteen) reprises the role of its young upstart and devles deeper into the WHY WOULD THE AMERICA GOVERNMENT PLOT TO KILL 3,000 OF ITS OWN INNOCENT CIVILIANS? question.
Would money (and a unified global police state) really legitemise the deaths of thousands of US servicemen in the middle east and millions of Iraqi civilians since 9/11?

That without the thought of a global nuclear holocaust with USSR. And some online troll had the audacity to ask me what New World Order was the other day. Get learnin' sheeple.

Philip K Dick - Radio Free Albemuth - book review
Category: Religion and Philosophy

On the surface, Philip K Dick's "Radio Free Albemuth" is about as close to perfect sci-fi as you can get, where a man communes with a being/beings from a parallel world invading our planet.

But I had the same feeling of HORROR with this as I had with THE COSMIC PUPPETS in that Dick has signature moments of horror, the rats and the nature beast that Princess Mononoke stole.

Radio Free Albemuth is set in a world where other PKD novels have been set - a world of American domination of its people, American repression of its ideals, an American that is no longer part of the Constitution, a horror America. Not necessarily Communist but certainly threatening to one's civil liberties, threatening to one's belief systems and chosen life style.

What does Alex Jones call it, "Land of the slave, home of the coward."

Radio Free Albemuth echoes the threat of corporate surveillance and mind control in books like FLOW MY TEARS THE POLICEMAN SAID. Wait a minute, there was also the False War novel THE PENULTIMATE TRUTH. Was Dick more a political activist than a sci-fi/horror writer?

This HORROR BOOK sprouts from the same material as 1984 and Brave New World in that it paints the world as we normal folk don't tend to see it, the CORPORATE UNDERWORLD. It re-examines material Dick wrote about in his VALIS books (books which I don't rate as the writer tried to strangle the reader with 'religion').

This book fared much better than that because it started out as Phil Dick writing about his best mate who suffers from VALIS visitations. A real writer writing about himself in the third person. The book is a lovely eye-opener and would have scored 5/5 if it had retained the distance from the subject. But Dick couldn't have that. He had to go and stuff the Valis theory down the reader's throat.

SPOILER: Person-specific beamed messages from a Soviet spy satellite do not a good narrative resolution bring.

This book is ruthless and brutal and fun (yeah, fun). Read and enjoy.

Silverthought staff interview Mike Philbin about his new books
Category: News and Politics

The first official post-launch interview about the two Silverthought paperbacks Bukkakeworld and Planet of the Owls, has been executed by Silverthought staff members Mark Brand and Andy Laughton. These guys pull no punches and their questions explore the possibility that the two books via their Stanislas Lem like subtext are linked indictment of this NeoFascist world in which we live.

casualties of war - shudokan aikido, project disclosure, shocklines horror forum
Category: Blogging

shudokan aikido:
I want an aikido that's based on the original principals of 'love' and 'blending' and the more I do shudokan aikido the more I'm attacking, blocking and maiming myself. Yes, I'm carrying minor injuries every session and that's not what I was looking for. Aikido should be about harmony with your opponent and it's turned into a war against the brittleness of bones, the sensitivity of nerves and ability to take whiplash-like slams to the floor. Anyway, I had my fun, I got fitter than I've ever been since the karate days and I hope the guys enjoy their Summer School in Nottingham next weekend.

project disclosure:
what should have been the most important press conference this century happened at The National Press Club, Washington, DC, May 9th 2001. 300 or so of the military's ex-employees came out from behind their NDAs and signed on to told the world that UFOs are real and aliens are real and there's a global agenda involving depopulation and all sorts of other interesting stuff. But nothing happened. It was a media non-event with no visible change or affect on mainstream dogma 6 years on. The only things you hear about from Project Disclosure nowadays is they are still funding research into alternative fuel systems. What? Well, that's not why they died in my eyes. My suspicion is, due to recent revelations about testing on their own personel, that you can't believe anything ex-military guys come out with - there's just no concrete reality once you sign on the dotted line. You're theirs to experiiment on as they see fit.

shocklines horror forum:
it's not easy for Matt Schwartz running what's left of his once-shiny horror forum. A real nasty factionism has infested what could have remained a place of healthy debate since he decided to close down the book-selling side of it. But it's not even possible to HAVE debate. Mediocrity is applauded and NAU brainwashing is the order of the day. It's post-McCarthy-ism run rife. You're shot at from all sides just for who you are, not for what you're debating. Continually, Matt is having to close threads and issue warnings left, right and centre just to appease the masses. I'm fascinated what Shocklines will become over the coming years but I'd rather get out now and sorta feel sorry that I ever wanted to return there in the first place.

"Bukkakeworld" and "Planet of the Owls", trade paperbacks available now
Category: Writing and Poetry

The pre-order pages for the Silverthought Press (NY) novels "Bukkakeworld" and "Planet Of The Owls" has just gone live. Click either cover below to be taken to the relevant pre-order page on the Silverthought Press website.

Both of these 'genreclectic' titles are for adults only and they're crammed to the hilt with insane surrealistic horror in a manner that only Mike Philbin aka Hertzan Chimera can deliver.

Here's what Silverthought editor Paul Hughes said, "Silverthought is positively turgid to announce a two-book deal with 'genreclectic' writer Mike Philbin. Fact: Mike is the first writer whose work has made me nauseous. Fact: Most people will not enjoy these books. Fact: This is some of the best experimental transgressive fiction I've ever read. Bend over."

Both books are now available from amazon.com and amazon.co.uk and amazon.co.jp in the relevant currencies. Here's a link to a Silverthought page containing pictures of the finished books held aloft by a company model.

Oh, and if you're wondering what both books are really about and why they're intimately linked (i.e. released on the same date) - remember what happened with Stanislaw Lem and other writers/artists back in the Communist era, it's all in the subtext. Look deep, dear friends, look deep.

Both novels are released July 15 2008 in trade paperback.

Project Camelot - to eBe or not to Ebe
Category: News and Politics

to ebe or not to ebe, is that the question?

Let me put this as basically as I can. What the fuck is going on with all the recent "Project Camelot" revelations from quite a number of Insiders To The Facts in the US Black Ops community?

Since the Roswell incident (whatever that was) there's been a concerted Cold War Disinformation Programme in place to Debunk each and any UFO/abduction report. Now, suddenly, MJ-12-knowledgable folk like David Wilcock, John Lear, Dan Burisch, Bill Hamilton, Clifford Stone, Ralph Ring and other New Superstars of Global Disclosure are going, "Oh, yeah, we were in cahoots with the aliens from Zetz Reticuli, have been since the fifties. We built Underground Bases to house them. We can communicate with 52 races of E.T. Close Encounters of the Third Kind actually happened. We have human/alien bases on the Moon and Mars. We can travel to alien worlds via Stargates. We're an outpost 'farm' for their spiritual rehabilitation of us into space farers."

This surely is THE NEW DISINFORMATION. There's a phenomenon, even among these disclosers, called THE UFO DISEASE whereby these folk get so hungry for celebrity and so keen to be the Prophet that they MAKE STUFF UP. Many are citing 2012 as a significan date, others 2016 (when that shiny asteroid makes another pass under its own speed). Or, the US government, via film directors like Emmerich and Spielberg are spreading the real message about the way the Universe works.

Is there even an answer to all this crazy shit?
