actually, this dedication is long over due,
it's time to let you know,
that I'm proud of you
your heart, your smarts, the way you view the world
your kindness, you're a beautiful young lady
with all the potential in the world
now don't think because I'm older
that I'm wiser or better than you in any way
in fact, you're the one I look up to
my sis, ms. Saunceria
so cheers to you
the great woman that you are
you're my sister
and I'm glad to call you friend

I'm sorry for the times I wasn't there
I hope you didn't think that I didn't care
a lot of times I missed you more than life
the way you chewed, your smile, the way you snored at night...
I was homesick almost everyday
I should've known that you were at home missing me the same way
shame on me for not coming home to visit you more
taking life for granted thinking you'd always be there...
I cant imagine the pain you must have felt
and the sorrow in your eyes when you looked up
and saw I was nowhere to be found
oh what id give to be able to have kissed your pain away...
I'm sorry I let things happen that way they did
I let you down, there's so much more I could have did
now I'm here missing you on Christmas eve
its my fault that I'll never get to hold you again...
just to hear your voice again....
just to see that smile again..
you were my loving best friend,
id give anything just to hold you again...
to hear you climb those steps just one more time
you being my shadow, just following me around
to stare with you out the window, just gazing away
there just aren't enough words for me to explain......

Greatest Friend

I have the greatest friend on earth
Brothers by god but not by birth
I owe him a lot for all he has done for me
Without him in my life I am not sure where I'd be
We will be best friends forever until we die
We have certain jokes that no one would understand but him and I
Together we share our life story
We look for good in others glory
He is amazing every single day
I admire and look up to him in every way
He understands me and I don't have to explain
He brings his sunshine to the rain
Someone sent by god to do great things
One of heaven's angels with no visible wings
If you ever meet Snoop, then you've seen
Why he is the definition of the greatest friend to me.
Snoop, thanks for always being there for me
You have shown me just how best friends should be!

I know he'll guide me

sorrow free are my days
if I ever need answers
I just get down and pray

came from finding Jesus

and the power of his love

New Poem "A 3rd Wish"

Your love keeps me on such a high,
my love sometimes causes pain
Why do I feel so sad at times?
the love of my life isn't to blame
I love to lay and watch her sleep,
wondering if it's me that's in her dreams
or is her smile the result,
of someone else...
If I had 3 wishes,
I'd wish you peace
I'd wish your life, would always be happy
and if your happiness wasn't meant to be shared with me,
then with my 3rd wish,
I'd wish for you,
a better man than me...
It would be foolish of me to think,
that my love is the only in this world
you could find comfort in
and it would be selfish of me to stay,
when I'm not giving you all of me
I know I make you sad sometimes
my actions forcing tears on your pillow at night
and a simple " I love you"
can go days without even being said...
If I had 3 wishes,

I wonder what others
will remember about me
was I a God fearing man?
did I always tell the truth?
Or was I just a boy,
who hardly became a man...
Was I a good son?
a great father?
a shining example to all my kids and friends?
Or was I a lifetime screw up,
who one day drank his life away...
Was I a man who loved his wife?
did I treat her right?
did we live a lifetime full of smiles and joy?
Or was I so dense,
that I failed to even keep the love of my life...
I hope they say that I
was a kind and gentle soul
an unselfish man, who sacrificed for others
someone who gave nothing but joy
far from the burden I am today

If she saw the things that I see,
all the ways she makes me happy...
maybe then her doubts would finally go away,
and she'll be able to love me completely...
If she saw herself through my eyes,
saw the beauty I see when gazing upon her face,
then maybe she'd see herself in a different light
realizing her rare beauty, which is an honor to see
If she could only feel the way my heart beats,
whenever I'm in her presence,
then she'd know that she's my one and only
and to me, she's God sent
If she could only see the expression on my face,
as I pour my heart into these words,
she'd know how deeply and truly I love her
and my love for her grows everyday

it's a blessing to have you part of all three
