"Hey boss, this thing heavy." A tall black man says.

"Hey, kid I would appreciate it if you didn't call me boss." a elderly man says to him in return.

"Yes, sir!" He says in return.

"I don't even like that to be said, call me John." John says.

"Yes sir, Mister John." he says in return.

"No, just John no sir, no mister, just John!" says John.

"Oh ok, Mis...I mean John." He says.

"Are you having trouble with that?" John says.

"No sir, mister John!" He says.

John begins to shake his head, thinking about the fact that this man was raised to not know anything and just move like the rest of the herd. Yet he has triumphed without feeling down about himself. We look at him as something less, typically. He begins to ponder that this man is an atypical subject of a typical experiment (A Survivor)!

I know my limits, I would never want to be in the hostile environment of an office job. Not all cases get the worse circumstances. Its Dog eat Dog food in there. If you are in a lower position professionally and also in a disadvantaged position of being a minority (women, elderly, etc.) You get the broken end of the broom stick straight where it hurts.

This is an excercise that takes a word and transforms it into a narrative. The narrative will not contain the word. Yet, it will encompass the words meaning. The words are linked to show the actual definition at Dictionary.com, all links open in new window.

"Did you hear what Mr. Michaels said yesturday?" a feminine voice utters.

"No, what did he say?" an another Progesteronie says.

She whispers "He said...that if he caught anyone else coming in after 1:30. They could put in thier resignation that day."

"No more double smoke breaks for you then" she replies softly.

"Yeah, I know. How long do you think this is gonna last?" she says.

"I don't know, but have you seen the new guy?" she says.

"No, but what about him?" she replies.

"I think he's gonna be a kiss up." she says.

"Uhh Ummmm" Man clearing his throat.

"Are you ladies done with your morning gossip?" He says.

"Yes sir, Mr. Micheals." One says meekly.

"Did you try the new danishes I brought in Mr. Micheals?" The other adds.

"As a matter of a fact, I haven't." He says.

"They are so delicious, you have to have one." she says.

"I'll have to try one, but its time to get to work." He says.

He leaves the area as they put thier cigarettes out and walk back inside the building.

One says to the other as they enter the building.

"Don't you hate when thier kind just sneaks up on you?" she says.

"Yeah, I feel like I'm in Harlem or something." the other replies.

"Did you ladies say something?" He says.

"No sir." They both squeak.

They both snicker at the fact that they can speak freely between the two of them.
