My new recording!

The new song posted today has been in the works for a month or two. It is part of a cd that will feature various cover songs from musicians I admire here in Shreveport and beyond. I plan on offering this song for download when the cd is finished but want to put this up now because it is fun and entertaining. I like to call it "All I have to Do is Girls in the Bathroom Sink!" It is a medley of The Peekers's All I have to do is close my eyes", Dirtfoot's "Bathroom Sink", Beastie Boys "Girls". The songs just seemed to go together in my head and now when I look back I wonder why they fit together that way. Anyway, enjoy the music and give me some feedback.

Ok, So I have fallen behind on this blog thing and I figured I'd write something before I start the work day. In my logic, blogging falls into the same category as trimming hedges, polishing shoes and learning a foreign language. They are all things you must do from time to time but you always find better distractions to occupy your days. Not saying that any of the for mentioned verbs are not worth peoples time but a bushy hedge, a scuffed shoe, a single language and an empty blog are not things to worry about unless the only language you know is one no one else does or the hedges are so tall that you have poisonous critters living in them. You might ask if blogging about blogging is really blogging? My answer to you is that it is no different than philosophizing about philosophy or talking about talking. They are things we do to pass the time while we wait for the distant day the grim reaper comes a-knocking. I hope you have enjoyed this little passage and have a great and productive day.

After my 1500 mile journey across the south this week I will be playing a show in my wonderful hometown of Shreveport, LA at the Actor's Cafe Friday April 18th. Bring that big tax refund and get some drinks and food and join me for an evening of fun music featuring Jamie Kellogg, Mike Walker and others. Show starts around 8pm and will go till Jeff Nightbyrd kicks us out. If you haven't been to the Actor's Cafe you should definitely come out and show your support for one of the best music and performance art venues in town. You never know whom you'll see there.
Music Video: When The Food Runs Out You’re It! Posted Come Watch!

Every new CD release deserves a music video. I realize with no promotion I will probably not sell many CDs. An idea popped in my head while I was driving home from work and I when I arrived at home I set up the camera and taped it before I could forget it. I did this video Thursday February 28th 2008. "When the Food Runs Out You're It" is a song about eating human flesh. Buy the new CD from the page so I can keep my internet turned on and plenty of food around to suppress my cannibal instincts. I hope you have as much fun watching it as I did making it.
Flight of the Electric Mosquito is my 2008 cd release. There are 14 songs on it and it is about an hour long. I had much fun writing and recordingthis record and wouldn't change a note on it. It originally was going to be two separate cds. One was to be a theme record about cannibalism called 'man eater' and the other was going to be a collection of old instrumentals mixed with country songs called ( The End of the Road). Being very busy at work I realized that one cd would be better. The cd title was lifted off a song that was never finished (next record maybe) and the songs were mixed together offering the best of both projects in one collection. I know you will enjoy it. Thanks for listening. Take the time to purchase the cd and I'll hug ya!
