The "Pissing off idiots" blog
Current mood: enlightened
Category: News and Politics
So you're all happy (or all bummed out) about the elections? The world is gonna change right? Everything you know about the world is going to end? All our problems will be solved soon (or get worse) right? Uhhhh....grow up!
Once again I must say.. "If you think one party is to blame for all this, you're an idiot!".
Why do you think neither party objected to the $700 billion bank bailout? hmm?? Why hasn't the Democratic controlled Congress ended the war in Iraq? hmm? They sure as hell said they would! That is what they ran their campaign on ...remember? No, of course you don't. You only remember what happened on "SNL" last week.
So now that gas is only $1.80 a gallon, do you think that the dependence on oil from those crazy ass muslims is not a problem any more? hmmm..interesting.
Did you notice the "Pickens plan" got voted down? hm....
Can I ask you a question? Is "The View" your only source of news? Is Jon Stewart your political "voice of reason"? If so, I'm talking to you...
John Adams once said "My biggest fear is a nation dominated by two political parties". No doubt he would shit his pants in 2008!
Does the gay wedding thing in California bother you? Is it that big a deal? Should a "civil union" be good enough? Why the fuck is a title that important? It's all about benefits and financial shit right? Hey, if two people are in love and commit to each other, give them a financial partnership and be done with it. Who cares about the title? Personally, I'm all for gay marriage...if both chicks are hot!!!! (and I can watch).
What else will piss off idiots? Oh yeah...this is good.
I'm told (although I haven't verified) that I have recently been ripped for defending the United States way of life over the socialist life in France. Yeah, France, that place we have to go save from Germany every so often. The place that has about a 25% unemployment rate. The place that surrenders to a troop of girl scouts if threatened. That place whose leaders come here if they need an important medical procedure....that place! Nuff said!
Onward... I know that bunch of people are hard core Democrats or Republicans. I know you think that only your party is right and the other is totally wrong. But think about this for a second. Only two parties have been in control for over 150 years. Each has had it's turn in power, things have worked out pretty well. It's called "checks and balances". It's a process that doesn't allow one group to run wild. Just chill out for a bit and let the results determine your opinion. If Obama doesn't live up to his promises, kick him out. After the first term (unlike Clinton or Bush who went unchecked after one term). He has total control now with the House and Senate..no excuses. If you don't see change like he says he will bring, do your duty and put in the next guy. I actually think he will do a good job but anything is possible at this point.
Anyone against nuclear power...your a fucking idiot! So you don't like drilling offshore or in Alaska...idiot! Against lower taxes...idiot! Don't like stem cell research...retard! Anti-abortion....whatever, just don't vote on that issue alone. Coal...we got it, it's good! No fat chicks..good! haha

I need your help...vote now! (fast and easy)
Current mood: disgusted
Category: Sports
I need a football team to cheer on to victory for the rest of this season (and probably at least the next two). My 1 team is back to it's old ways and I can no longer watch them. So, I've decided to let you pick for me! Here are the choices: Indianapolis Colts - they are geographically next door and they have a great logo. Great QB and history.
Chicago Bears - probably my favorite team growing up as a kid and pretty close to me.
Tennessee Titans - I can watch their games when I'm in Corbin and they have a great coach.
Arizona Cardinals - My 1 team when I lived out west but I won't get to see hardly any of their games here.
Oakland Raiders - My girls favorite team but same problem as above.
Other - give me a reason
Out of the question : Shittsburgh - I would rather die a slow death sitting in a room with the cast of "The View". They are best known for their fat, obnoxious fans and single handedly bringing steroids into the sports world. (and they seem to be color blind....yellow is not gold!)
So there ya go....vote now and help me get through Sundays without getting pissed off!!!

A very unimportant blog
Current mood: discontent
Category: News and Politics
Sorry, I like Obama and McCain. They are both stand-up guys with integrity that would be a credit to the office and I dig that...quite a change from the last oh....20 years. In any case, the United States won when Hildabeast was beaten in June.
A local levy is being voted on Aug. 5th that I know is going to pass and it pisses me off! A police and fire levy that will increase my taxes $138 a year that is "continual". It all sounds nice but I live in a place where Barney Fife could patrol by himself....and be effective. This just after a local school levy passed in April that I voted against in the brand new school that they seemed to have the money to pay for...ughhhh! FUCKERS!
How many sleazy lawyer commercials can there possibly be on daytime tv? Have you seen the "Mesothelioma" spots? Amazing..goddamn ambulance chasers won't even chase them anymore...they let Oprah and Dr. Phil do their dirty work.
Speaking of daytime tv..why do I have to hear about controversy on "The View"? And why do they always pick on the cute one?
Did anymore cheating Steelers from the 70's die this week? I haven't been paying attention...just wondering.
Windy Beach races tomorrow...yea! Go Windy!!!
I'm starting to read "Don't start the revolution without me" by the greatest politician alive...Jesse Ventura! He's like the voice of the common man...but smarter. I love how he points out the idiotic ways of the two major parties with such clarity. All hail common sense! haha
The little lady might be getting a job with Xavier University...let's keep our fingers crossed.
Do you even know what ANWR means? I do. And have you seen pictures of it? REAL pictures of it? I have. Do you think we should drill there?
How did Tom Cruise turn into a freak faster than Michael Jackson?
Why aren't there hippo's at the Cincy zoo when their phone number is ??-hippo?
One of the funniest things I've seen lately was at Wal-Mart. The "jazzy"/"you're too fat scooters" were all re-charging due to the batteries being drained! haha
If I live to be 1,000 years old, I'll never understand why everyone bitches about Fox News. I think their "fair and balanced" motto is pretty close to being true. There is a little bias to the right, but not so much to cause a hissy fit. As you should know by now, I'm a die hard Indy. I could care less about the Right or Left. They both have good and bad qualities. I think the bitch fest comes in to play because the Left just doesn't want to be called out by anyone. Since Fox does that, they catch hell. But the REALLY scary thing is the so called "Fairness Doctrine". Imagine if Republicans were trying to make it so that the FCC could dictate which political opinions could be expressed by liberal pundits, even requiring them to contradict themselves any time they make a point. It's happening - only it's the other way around. So much for that pesky little part of the Constitution that ensures free speech!
Some ice broke off from a Canadian ice shelf yesterday...imagine that, in the middle of summer! Did you hear any news about the ice building in Antarctica? Didn't think so..(it is BTW).
I'm gonna take a Tae Kwon Do class next week with a free Kickboxing class thrown in... Sounds like a good program.
Funny, the generation that said they "changed the world" is now in charge. Great job! Can't wait to clean up your mess. What is the national debt now? $9 trillion...nice!
That's all for now. Till next time...don't trust anyone over 90 or under 20! haha

Best television characters of all time...
Current mood: nostalgic
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities
I was thinking about this for most of the train ride home today and thought it might make an interesting little blog... Of course, it will only be interesting if people participate so I'll probably get my girl to pimp me on her site (that of mega-visitors and such..). These are my favorite tv characters of all time! There's no real qualifications to make the list. Many of the characters were not even major players in their series. They are just my picks as the best...you are to leave a list of yours if you so choose. Okay, here we go.
10) The Fonz - Happy Days: As a young child, there was no greater example of "cool". And besides, he jumped a fucking shark!
9) Johnny Fever - WKRP in Cincinnati: I somehow always thought I'd end up like him... Remember when he lived the second life as the Disco guy? haha
8) Newman - Seinfeld: Nuff said
7) Drusilla - Buffy/Angel: Hot, insane and evil...my three favorite qualities in a woman! haha
6) Mr. Roarke - Fantasy Island: That is the job I always wanted.
5) Vince McMahon - WWE Raw: How is it that he's never been nominated for an Emmy?
4) Spike - Buffy/Angel: He took a bit part and turned it into one for the ages.
3) Barney Fife - Andy Griffith: Everything he did was funny.
2) Jack Bauer - 24: Badass American hero in an age of pussies!
1) Buffy Summers - Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Simply the greatest!
**~~Edit time here..I'm putting Al Bundy in at 9 and of course Captain Kirk in at 4.... Newman and Johnny Fever are out..whew! ~~~*** Now of course there are many more that could be on this list and many in the list are interchangable. But one thing is for sure..my top two are rock solid! So let's hear it...who's your all-time favorite tv characters.

A non-Memorial Day blog....
Category: News and Politics
$3.99 a gallon....told ya!
So there's talk of Hillary finally getting out of the race....is it too soon to get my hopes up? Seeing a McCain vs Obama election would be a victory for all Americans IMO.
Can Big Brown do it? It's gonna be tougher than people may think. He's probably gonna face the best horse he's ever competed against, he'll be in his 3rd race in 5 weeks and the mile and half Belmont is ALWAYS a big question. He strongest opponent has had a perfect schedule to prep for this and looks like he could be a monster! I'm keeping my fingers crossed...I wanna see a triple crown winner in my lifetime! haha
Hey PETA..suck me!
Speaking of those ass-whipes..did you know that over two thirds of the dogs they "rescue" are murdered by them?? It's true.
My girl is gonna do a blog on fat kids that need to be coaxed into going out and playing...that should be a good one.
Speaking of fat, did you hear that the latest model to win the "Americas next top model" show is how do you say it...plus sized. Is that the official sign that our society has just given up? hmmm...
My new "don't kill people" drug seems to be working okay. I'd have to say my urge to strangle dumb fucks on the road has decreased by over 25%. However, my urge to kill dumb fucks at the grocery strore has remained the same.
Is it better to burn out or fade away?
I'm gonna take Christy to see Indiana Jones tomorrow, I heard it's pretty good.
Why do I hate white kids with their ball caps turned sideways yet think that blacks or Mexicans have a good look going?
I hate grass...it should just stop growing! I miss the dry, rocky southwest sometimes.
That's it for now..insert your "support the troops" thing here.

The 134th Kentucky Derby analysis
Current mood: inquisitive
Category: Sports
Big Brown is the best horse in the race. But I'm not picking him to win! His human connections are spectacular with Dutrow the accomplished trainer and Kent D a two time Derby winner. His ability is unquestioned and his performance to date is flawless...so why am I betting against him? Well for one, he's only had 3 races..that's just not enough foundation for this race. I've seen too many highly regarded lightly raced colts come to Louisville and spit it up at the 8th pole. That's the 1 reason I'm not picking him. Add to the fact his post is terrible, he's never been rated (you don't win the Derby on the lead as a favorite..you have to steal it as an underdog ala Winning Colors and War Emblem) and you have the recipe for an upset IMO. So, on to the ones I do like.
1) Colonel John - He has the perfect Derby running style. I love the connections of Eoin Harty and Corey Nakatani. He's shown heart, has never been worse than 2nd and has been working well at Chruchill. I know there is some worry about him having never run on dirt...but don't let that bother you. If anything, I think he moves up on it...in fact, that's what I'm betting on!
2) Pyro - Has been my 1 choice for quite some time...till tonight. I just don't know if he's going to be able to get up in time. I'm not concerned with that flop at Keeneland...throw that race out. There are other little factors that moved him down to 2. It was a tough call...
3) Z Fortune - Just think he might be improving right now. That Rebel worries me a bit but should be nice price in the exotics.
4) Tale of Ekati - Picks up the pieces to round out my tri.
Ones who scare me: Visionaire - 98 Beyer in the fog...not paying attention to the Keeneland race. Cool Coal Man - Don't count out Zito Gayego - Probably scares me the most Monba & Cowboy Cal - Two really solid Pletcher horses being overlooked?
Ones who have no shot: Anak Nakal - Only one I can really say that about

Big Brown and Pyro top my Derby list
Category: Sports
After watching the Florida Derby, I think that Big Brown and Pyro are the two likely favorites going into Louisville. Big Brown was really impressive setting quick fractions and drawing off in the final quarter. Pyro has been equally impressive IMO and since the two have different running styles, it’s gonna make for one hell of a race come May 3rd. This is assuming that Pyro comes out of the Bluegrass in good shape and that Big Brown goes right to Churchill. I’m still waiting to see how the West Coast shakes out after the Santa Anita Derby...Georgie Boy, Colonel John, El Gato Malo and even Yankee Bravo look interesting..obviously, more on this later.

Your $3.45 a gallon! (Warning: Not for the easily pissed off)
Current mood: angsty
Category: News and Politics
America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves. Abraham Lincoln
How right he was! And it continues to amaze me how we just sit back and watch our freedoms being stripped away in the name of Political Correctness.
Anyway.......
Here’s one for ya..the "Saudi Arabia Human Rights Commission" (yes, it does say Saudi Arabia and Human Rights in the same title!) wants us to stop linking Islam with terrorism. Yeah, I’m serious. Now, in a sane society, we would tell them to shut the fuck up but in this time of PC, we’ll probably start some "Tolerance for Islam" program or some other stupid shit. Also, in Europe (AKA, the place we have to go save every now and then) a supermarket chain is now allowing Muslim check-out staff to not have to handle alcohol sales if they don’t want to..again, I’m serious. Oh, not to mention, a Muslim dentist refused to treat a woman because she wasn’t wearing one of those face scarfs.. I don’t make this shit up people! So with all that in mind, I’d like to show you what your $3.45 a gallon is buying these fuckstains... Are you ready?
This is one of their fucking airplanes!

The Dirt
Current mood: amused
Category: Parties and Nightlife
Okay, I thought I was wild back in the day...no, let me rephrase that, I was wild back in the day! I’ve done and seen shit that most people couldn’t possibly imagine. I thought I has some strange stories.(the mid to late 90’s are mostly a blur). That is until I started reading "The Dirt" by Motely Crue..compared to them I am a saint. I give it five stars, two thumbs up and every other sign of greatness..haha Whew! Those fuckers are nuts..

The appreciation blog....
Current mood: refreshed
Category: Friends
You know, quite often we bitch about our lives and such. Then around Thanksgiving we all post a blog about how thankful we are about ...whatever. Well this time, I thought I’d be pro-active on the whole subject. so let me say this:
I am so lucky to have the girl that I do...
I love my friends and wouldn’t trade them for anything...except for tons of $$ haha! (kidding)
My family is amazing..I really don’t even deserve them....
Even though I’ve done things I’m ashamed of..my peeps still support me, thank you! And Todd more than any...he knows what I did and it haunts me..I only have two regrets in my life...that is 1
I’ve been blessed to meet the people I have...I’ve lived from one end of the U.S. to the other..I value each and every moment. It’s been a learning experience and a blast for the most part. I wouldn’t trade my life with anyone..except Hugh Hefner for obvious reasons..haha
