As the subject line may indicate to those of you who are addicted like me, I am quite the LOST fan, and am VERY excited to see the show returning tonight ... but, this blog is actually about another fate-filled set of numbers.  :)  For those of you who know me especially well, you will appreciate this:

Today is my nephew Sean's 15th birthday.

Today is also my Zaiden's 3 month birthday.

Guess how much Zaiden weighed today at his doctor's appointment? 

(Drum roll please ....)

11 lbs., 11 oz. 

Ah, it comes full circle. 

PS - More fun number usage .... 4, 8, 15, 16, HIKE!  This Sunday, watch for Sean in the Budweiser Clydesdale Superbowl commercial!

Jeff Garland thinks Zaiden is a doll .... literally ....

Yesterday afternoon, I met my hubby and our buddy Steve over at the Grove for a late breakfast.  Sean, Steve and Zaiden were at the Mac store when I met up with them, and Sean was wearing Zaiden in our baby bjorn carrier.  Now, our boy likes his sleep, and he was passed out cold in the bjorn with his arms and legs just dangling down.  Jeff Garland (from Curb Your Enthusiasm) comes up to me and Sean in the Mac store, looks at Zaiden, and says "So, what's the premise?"  Sean, just going with it, says "He's a superhero."  Jeff takes another look and says "Oh my god, that's a REAL baby!  I thought he was a doll!"  He said he may have to put that in his stand-up routine, so if anyone hears Jeff Garland talking about a guy wearing a baby doll around town, well, that's our little Zaiden he's talking about.  It will be much like the Humphrey Bogart / Gerber Baby connection that few seem to know about.  :)  [Sean also wanted me to add that he knew Jeff Garland way back in the days at Upfront Comedy in Santa Monica, yet it takes Jeff about 3 minutes to recognize Sean every time they run into each other ...perhaps he will remember him now as "the doll dad" ...] 

Ironically, later that same day, Zaiden let out a poop so foul that I had to strip both of us down and take a shower.  Let's see a doll do THAT!  ;-)

Zaiden's Page

We're still in the hospital, but daddy has all of his technology with him .... he even had skype up and running during the labor (as threatened, lol) .... and it was a quick one! So he was able to post a website on Zaiden's first day of life -- too funny! Hi everyone! I'm SO excited to share some news with you!

A few years back, I started feeling like I needed to go to the next level with my music, and I wasn't sure what that would look like, but I took a leap of faith and declared that I was going to win a Grammy in 2008, not having any idea of how to do it .... I just got word tonight that I'm on the right track!

I got the 2008 Grammy Nomination Entry List tonight, and I got FOUR grammy nominations on the Grammy Nomination entry ballot (one of them is for my hubby's music video on my new album)!!

Time for MySpace Hollywood Squares!

By popular demand, we're starting a new game of MYSPACE HOLLYWOOD SQUARES!  Jimi suggested a "preggers" version of the game, with all questions related to pregnancy, childbirth and child rearing, and I'm game for the extra knowledge, so here we go!

Some of you who missed the wedding wanted to see how Sean's mad lib wedding vows turned out, so here they are, with the offerings of our guests in all caps.  And I must say, while they don't all make sense, there are some great lines that happened just by luck of the draw!    Enjoy!

"I vow to you, that it might not ever look like we want, or be the way we would like, but it will be a great and fun adventure.  With that in mind ... since your favorite car game is Mad Libs, with the help of all the guests, here are my vows. 

I still remember the first time I met you.  You were glowing like a (noun) GRASSHOPPER that had flown in from (place) ISTANBUL.

As our friendship grew I always felt a (adj) BROWN connection that I had never felt before.

The funniest wedding you've ever seen! :)

A Pirate ship? Kilts? Stand-up wedding comedy? An Emcee? Madlib wedding vows?

Well, we did it! We had such a wonderfully fun, romantic, laid-back, silly, amazing wedding day, and we were so honored to get to share the day with so many friends and family, many who came from out of town on just nine days' notice! I'll post a few pictures here, and we just created a photobucket account especially for the wedding, so people can upload their photos, and you can go on and grab pictures of you that you might want as a keepsake, etc. :)
