** vids and pix added ** COACHELLA...KNOWS HOW TO PARTY...
Coachella peeps... What a weekend, what a crowd, what a night... Being sandwiched between two of the biggest names in dance music made us a bit nervous, we must admit. Then the changeover took longer than planned. Then there were inexplicable sound glitches during the first few songs. And then, after Kente-clad Pee launched into his infamous California/Coachella Love box-a-pella, somehow, the mothership landed. The ghost of 'Pac must've gotten behind the boards. Everything got fixed. And you, Coachella peeps, made our night. Thank you!
It was, of course, a family affair... (photo: Bronques) (photo: Jevon Feinblatt) Check out A-Trak's Coachella blog for more deets... (photo: Jevon Feinblatt)
Aaaaanyhoo... We weren't expecting a crowd THIS big... but you guys rocked... (photos: Caesar Sebastian)
Good question. But the even better folks over at our UK label Back Yard have just released a souped-up, revamped version of our very own Chromeo classic (if we may say so ourselves), otherwise known as "fille dans le besoin". This includes the superb "2008 version" by our homie Lifelike, as heard on Radio 1 of course, as well as fresh remixes by Bloc Party, Boy 8-Bit and Teenage Bad Girl. Formats are as follows...
To our beloved funkateers and chromettes from across the pond,
You know we're coming back to two step with y'all in April, right? Well, hit us up and explain why your footwork's the fanciest and you'll win a pair of tickets to the show of your choice...
