Record Update, Release Party Plans, Vote Tomorrow
hey guys and dolls,
just wanted to give a quick update...the record is in its final mixdown and will be mastered next week by Garrett down at Treelady Studios. We will be finishing up the layout for the artwork and such and should be sending it off to the presses before Thanksgiving. We have had some really positive feedback on the rough mixes, so we can't wait to hear the final version...for the first time in our adult lives, we are proud of...a chux beta recording. what did you think I was going to say?
we also have decided on plans for the release party. we have been told by many friends, fans and others that we never play long enough, by the time the openers are done, we only have a 30 minute set, blah, blah, blah. we have decided to have the release party be an actual party. hopefully a hundred of our closest, drunkest friends and fans hanging out with us and watching us play 3 sets. the first set we will play the new record in its entirety. the second set we will play covers and some older material that you may of heard before and the 3rd set we will play an entire set debuting 8-10 new chux beta songs fo yo asses. it should be a really great night. we are deciding on venue/time/date etc now. when we get a final date on the printing, we will have concrete plans! please, please, please, if you have never come to a show, now's the time. this will be the biggest chux beta show ever and we need all of you. all you have to do is pay the cover (assuming there is one) and you will get a copy of "now we rise" free. you can even have 2 if you want!
so that's that. remember, tomorrow, vote. if this election hasn't motivated you to register and get up and vote, nothing will. just know your issues and make your decisions based on what is important to you, not what the fucking media or talking heads tell you. make your own decisions, but just make sure your voice is heard...
no one from chux beta approved that message...
later,
jim

Record Updates/All Ages Show in September
what up?
We took another step in finishing our new record this past weekend. Vocals are finished for all but 3 songs. The remainder will be finished on the weekend of September 5th, 2008, Then it's on to mixing.
Also, we have a pretty big show by our standards coming up on Saturday, September 13th. We are on the bill for Fountain Infinity's CD Release party. It's an all ages show at Mr. Smalls. We have tickets on us for $8. I think they are like $10-$12 at the door. Let us know and we'll hang on to some for you. We have around 40 left at the moment. We'd love to see you all.
talk at you later,
jim

The New Album Update
Goodevening all...
Haven't said hello in a couple weeks, so here goes...We recorded at Treelady Studios on July 12th. Recorded all music, solos, overdubs, piano, etc in about 12 hours. We have scheduled to head back and add vocals and start the mixdown on August 16th. After that it will need to be mastered for CD and for vinyl and it will be ready for release. (no, seriously) The record has no title yet as far as I'm aware, but here are the 10 songs making it to this recording:
It's Not Right
Animals
Wait For Me
This is The Rapture
Pseudocidal
Night Of The Long Knives
You'll Live Forever
Irresponsible
Inside Out
Rome Is Something or Other (Instrumental)
So there you have it. We'll update you when it will be available in both formats very, very soon. We still need volunteers to find friends, relatives and music lovers to distribute the album to for us (remember, these are not for sale, they are yours to have) so let us know too.
Don't forget to come see us Live on August 2nd at Casa D'Ice with Divine Tragedy. It's 21+ but I think it's damn easy to get in and not get carded, so whatever.
why so serious???

The Real New Album.
I know this album we are working on has started and stopped at least 3 times, but we are proud to announce that We will be going into Treelady Studios in Turtle Creek, PA this Saturday (July 12th) and recording our 6th album. The other few false starts were more experimental and didn't meet our expectations. Now with Chris moving on, we figured we'd start fresh. We'll be working with Engineer/Producers Dave Hidek and Kyle Smith.
We will have more news as the project gets closer to completion.
see ya,

Viva La Vinyl
what it is.
We have decided whenever the new record is complete (please keep your jokes to yourselves) We will be releasing it on CD as well as a limited amount of 12" vinyl.
We will be sending the Vinyl out as our demos to labels, but we should be left with about 100 copies. We will set up something on the site for you to reserve your copy of both the CD and Vinyl.
Remember, we aren't selling these, we will be giving them to you. Free of charge. So reserve your Vinyl early. Also, anyone who needs multiple CD's to give to friends and shit, just let us know. We want this record in as many hands as possible.
Also on the vinyl tip, we have talked to one of our favorite bands, Mourning Electra about doing a split single with them sometime in the fall on Father Devine Records, I'll let you know when things get rolling on all of this stuff.
later taters.
