Just Seein + Living Rainbows + Poem + i lives what i likes....
Current mood: warm
Category: A simple little sigh.... Writing and Poetry

Prism

Prism leave
breaking sunlight
into layers
emerald
calcite
moss agate
malachite
spread wide
arch limbs
paint
a green rainbow
verdant
see
a supple ballet
sway spin
move
as wind fingers
pluck
twig branch trunk
as quiet witness
aware
so be
prism flesh
breaking world
into layers
tree
flower
bird
man
earth ride
arch live
draw
a breathing rainbow….

Nightfall? + Poem + Its all in how you think it....
Current mood: content
Category: i aint met dark that aint got light.... Writing and Poetry

Vision

As a valley view
one cut
of patchwork dark
held
by narrow sight
behold
shadow
growing blacker
nightfall
a mother obsidian
soft open arms
she descends
quiet lullaby
to a riot living
sleep
whisper
rest
she falls….

As a mountain view
no mind
a patchwork part
release
a narrow might
expand
shadow
growing lighter
night bright
a canvas obsidian
flare firefly paint
she ascends
pinpoint symphony
to a riot living
stars
whisper
infinity
she does not fall….

she rises….

Poem + Playing with Paper + Learnin child style....
Current mood: blah
Category: Give me paper and i will play.... Writing and Poetry

Paper Square

Paper square
fold unfold
crease half
quarter
work a pattern
insist
a thin sheet
become
rabbit lotus
verdi's vase
reveal
potential extant
only
as well as mind
learns
as well as hands
yearn….

Paper square
brow furrow
finger furl
birth
allow a pattern
caress
a thin brief
become
tortoise goldfish
drinking bird
mindful present
preach
a craft to hands
sure
so paper folds me
learn….

The Four Horseman

As a king among men

to ward my people
servant
to all this life….

As magician arcane
defend
learn best yield
mother earth
harvest rule
steward
mind sight right
a master
to teach my people
servant
to all this life….

As lover hold caress

womb sung heal
all of us dirt
father tool
steward
heart humble hearth
as home
to love my people
servant
this all we call our lives….

Current mood: jedi
Category: And theres a;ways tomorrow maybe.... Writing and Poetry

As Magic

Over head
a white orb glow
pallid ethereal
light frost
fairy dust
as limbs leaves
trunks
glow
who says
there is no such thing
as magic….

Under foot
an orange flicker grow
red charcoal
light rust
human dust
as limbs leaves
trunks
flare
who says
there is no such thing
as magic….

Bond skin
meld orange white
combine
caress us grow
breath hymn
hands swim
a circle of fires
unconsumed
soft celebrate
our love
our life
our place….

Who says
there is no such thing
as magic….

Clean + Essay (?) + Free + One Moment at a Time Until....
Current mood: grateful
Category: "Free at Last...." Life

time flies. evidence of said? six years ago today i had my last drink. so. as part of a celebration of sorts i am gonna take a moment and tell just part of a story. mostly because if there is anyone out there like me who happens to stumble on these words then perhaps there is a chance for you to find what i did. a solution to a problem i only dimly knew i had. and? follow along if you would like:

somewhere there is a kid who aint quite sure what is wrong. but he knows something is. its like everyone else seems to have this secret knowledge they aint sharing about just about everything. making friends. having fun. playing games. laughing. he gets better grades then most of them but it dont seem to matter much. heck. the adults tell him over and over how smart he is. funny. he dont feel smart. he just feels:

outside.

as to what kinda smart gets you inside? well. seems no one is saying. and if you ask the question out loud they look at you funny so just keep your mouth shut. the quieter we are the less they might notice. maybe. hopefully. desperately. because thats the only answer you got and if it aint enough. jesus. what if it aint enough. and so fall asleep for years over and over again same record cutting a groove.

deep.

remember that first drink? one thing for sure. it feels good. warm. a fireplace glowing from inside. the edges of the world soften. the words people say blur. the nervousness calms. that uncomfortable feeling falls asleep. finally. an answer. it aint what you expected but it will do. for now. sometimes:

now can last a long time.

years later. breathe a life in pieces. a jumble of jigsaw puzzle memories. missing. disjointed. here and there. gaps. holes. pitch black. car crashes. court cases. births. deaths. jobs. and a few tears here and there. but they aint yours those tears. they belong to others. and? they can keep em. because. theres a party at your sisters tomorrow. and parties? well. they are just what we do.

awaken standing up to a voice saying "….yeah i think its broken." you dont remember asking a question. but. damn. your head hurts a bit. dull. your eyes focus (focus?) on a figure. (sharper) uniform. (what?) officer standing across the room from you. you think he might be speaking to you as your eyes pan down to an arm to an I.V. stuck in that arm (wait) your arm. you have no idea where you are. you have no idea what has happened. you have no idea what you might have done. from there people say things to you. you barely understand. you nod your head up and down a lot. and sometime later when they are done talking to you? you pull that I.V. needle from your arm and walk out into a morning that used to be an afternoon the last you remembered wondering what comes next knowing one thing for sure:

you are all out of answers.

the last six years have been much like awakening from a long sleep rip van winkle as i. lazarus once smelling of barley and hops shed his graveyard clothing that day and walked away. at the time i did not understand what had happened. today. i know one thing:

that person who was carried into that emergency room that night died on the table. the man who writes these words tonight was born that day. he was lucky enough to find others who have walked the same dream world he has.

together we have found a way out.

out.

into the light.

Poem + Sunset Answers + Just Because i Can....
Current mood: catalyzed
Category: Listen quiet and hear.... Writing and Poetry

Sunset Answer

Asphalt path
turning circles
road
define
one neighborhood
among a billion
here
counting cracks
i walk
counting time
i note
pebbles tossed
twigs fallen
broken clouds
flee
brisk wind
race
near dusk
waiting
to understand
hoping
to comprehend
as this night
descends
thinking
on a burning bush
legend
maybe
never
then:

Sun to horizon
drop
break below clouds
then:

Burst blaze brilliant
kindle
bark limb top
tint
orange red yellow
furious flicker
green glory
ignite
raise cathedral
from a forest fire
phoenix
unconsumed….

As witness
i dream
a little sign
as seeker
i get a world
ablaze
tickle soft rich
laugh drawn
within
as braille blind
son
i ask so small
drink glory
as sunset
answer….

Mist & Dark & Shivers + Poem + Where the Heck did the world go....
Current mood: imaginative
Category: The Edge of the World Right Here.... Writing and Poetry

Mist Kiss

A night wrap
milkweed seed
soft white
dark damp
muffle
street light
ruffle
window bright
humble
wheel whir
stumble
sound blur
as cotton caress
bathe earth
mend
sure dissolve
each drawn edge
tumble
silk erosion
wearing nothing
but mist
birth a softer
world
rocking soft
lullaby
sleep well son
mist
as a soft love
kiss
goodnight….
