Cinematic Zombies

Okay, so I'm out on the net, digging around for some decent references on zombies. In particular, the kind that everyone is familiar with: the flesh eating zombie of the movies. Why the distinction? Because zombies are in essence an animated corpse. Not to be confused with Frankenstien's creation, which was a flesh golem; nor are zombies the returned dead like revenants. True zombies are created by some force of supernatural power, have no free will, pose no real threat, unless ordered to, and are on the whole not so terrifying. Well, I'm sure they smell very bad to be sure. The most fearful nature of a true zombie is that we are warned that there is no gurantee that any rest is eternal. What Romero dipicted in his film was more akin to a ghoul. Why call them zombies? That's a topic for another blog...but that's what I was looking for: Cinema Zombies of the Modern Persuasion. So I find all these sites on zombies - Haitian and Hollywood, and lo and behold, I find this one:

So, lots of websites; nothing I really didn't know already. Needless to say, I'll just have to lock myself in the tele room and watch all those gory, nasty flicks again...oh darn

Art Up for Sale now

I just added a new folder to my pics; August Art Shows or for Sale now. My theme are those hot pant and micro minis that have inappropriate adjectives printed across the ass. Of course, it's my Cinder Bot doing a little bump-and-grind complete with psychodelic wall paper and a shag carpet no less. Yeah, it's Cinder Pricing as well - but not for long! Once these hit Grind and Groove, I'm kicking up the price.
