We have a new single out in under two weeks. It'll be released on our own record label Try Science Records on the 23/06/08. It's called The Choir Invisible and is available to buy on download only from iTunes
If you are a tad impatient you can request to hear it on the old wireless -
83936 - xfm 81199 - radio one 64046 - 6 Music
All you have to say is 'Can I hear The Choir Invisible by Circuits' then leave your name.
Here is the video for the oldchap
The song itself will take pride of place on our debut album. You can pre order your signed copy of Circuits' début album Bright as Midnight here -
On Saturday the 24th May, Circuits play @ Neighbourhood, Notting Hill, 12 Acklam Road, London, W10 5QZ. As fate would have it, we live in that neighbourhood. Co-inky-dink? Come down and get busy dancing or get busy decaying.
In a sort of 'Cats in the cradle' way, we'll have a lot more time dedicated to you the viewers in the month of June. Of the various new dates there is one show with Walthamstow's finest Lethal B and 3 dates on the come back tour of post-hardcore kings Rival Schools. Which, I'll have you know we are very excited about! Dates are as follows:
1st June, Oxford - Zodiac with Lethal Bizzle 5th June, London - 229 Club 16th June, Manchester - Academy III with Rival Schools 17th June, Birmingham - Academy II with Rival Schools 18th June, Leeds - Cockpit with Rival Schools 23rd June, The Internet - The Choir Invisible, download only release 23rd June,London - Dublin Castle 26th June, Northampton - Roadmender 30th June, London - Club Punk, Soho
You may have noticed that within that healthy slice of giggidge was a little single release. Available on download only from the 23rd June will be The Choir Invisible. Two weeks lateron the 7th night of the 7th month, Bright as Midnight cometh. Be afraid, be very afraid!
We also have some brand spanking new pictures from our recent Japanese foray taken by a very famous Japanese photographer called Mitch Ikeda. They are available to view in our gallery now, so please let us know what you think. We love them and we love him.
Circuits in May
Current mood: amorous

Hello!
So, we have a relatively quiet month in terms of shows in May. This is not because we want our return to the UK circuit to be showered in a mystery of cloak and daggers, far from it! Its just that as well as a band we are a record label, and any label worth it's salt has to release an album now and then.
The first album to be released on Try Science! Records just so happens to be Circuits début album 'Bright as Midnight'. It's scheduled to be on the hit parade on July 7th 2008. Preparation for such things are laborious to say the least, so if you need to get your bad selves some live Circuits action this month then I am afraid that you only have two chances..........
And since I am to be the bearer of bad news I may as well say that because we have to remain near Circuits HQ they'll both be in the city of London -
Thursday 8th May 2008, The Windmill, Brixton from 8pm Saturday 24th May 2008, Neighbourhood, Ladbroke Grove from 8pm
Come down and say hello. Ooh, pretty flyer for one of em -
The Brixton night is our 100th UK show so we will simply have to celebrate, we think you really should do too. And if the sun is still shining on the 24th, then you wont find a better way to spend your Saturday than being our guests in our neck of the woods.
A sermon on the mount from a red leather sofa, live and direct from Costa Del Circuits, London. That means only one thing: sadly, for all concerned, the curtain has fallen on our tour of Japan. We landed at Heathrow’s Terminal Five at around 17:00 on Thursday. We manage to avoid a proverbial kicking from a supermodel and reclaimed almost all our luggage. Happy days are here again. On the long silent train ride home I was consumed with many emotions. Being back in London is a bittersweet pill to swallow. On the one hand it’s where I live, my home. On the other it’s not Tokyo...
For those who have never visited Japan I can only say that you should beg, steal and borrow until you can afford to go. It’s a remarkable country filled with beautiful, soulful people. Not to mention that it is home to the finest food money can buy. To everyone who made us welcome and who helped us along the way, ARIGATO! It was the best 16 days of my life and you all made that possible. For that gift, you will always remain in my heart.
This morning we realized that we literally have TONS of video footage that our team of space monkeys are going to be editing for you and yours. If you have any that we may not know about please send it our way. The same applies with photos, get em over to us! We have the laborious task of sorting through and finding the best ones which will be added to our Japan gallery. I suggest that A) you send any you may have over to us ASAP and B) keep glued to your computer and refresh your screen every now and then until they appear. GET SOME!
The last few days have been spent trying to get back onto UK time, catching up with friends and telling tall tales of these four brave adventurers. Every now and then a little wave of apathy washes over me and reminds me of what I am missing, but it’s not all doom and glue. We now can focus our attention on the people of this fine land and gigs are being booked as we speak and hark. Bright As Midnight is also marching ominously towards the hit parade.......
It’s all good people. In fact it’s better than that.
Japan Tour Diary!!!

Wednesday 2nd April
Konichiwa
So! We’re back in Lil Ballet HQ, Tokyo today.
Since our last tete a tete we’ve played 3 shows. Two of which were in Tokyo at Lush and Club Acid. The third required us getting on a plane and catching a flight to the beautiful, yet bloody cold Sapporo to play the prestigious Spiritual Lounge.
All the shows were fantastic. Fingers clicked and tequila was hit.
Late nights and early mornings have done me old think tank a mischief but what i can recall is the hospitality of literally everyone whom we met on our travels thus far. It’s a little overwhelming how kind and welcoming people are in Japan. This is truly Gods land. And though we all love our little Londinium it saddens me to think that our last show is tonight at ACB Shinjuku, Tokyo.
If you have recently met four stupid English boys and enjoyed the cut of our jib then please come down tonight. We want to say thank you in person and have the send off this tour deserves.
The battery on our laptop (ooh check us out!) is running low so this needs to be brief! A full tour update will be written on our return to Costa Del Circuits. We still need as much photo and video footage as possible tho so please keep them coming! We will make sure a big old summary complete with visual evidence is done on our return, so get posting people!!
Sayonara, into the city we go for the final dance of this First Ballet.
Its Thursday, and we have a day off! Much needed. I’m sat at someone’s desk in Sony headquarters, Tokyo.
So, this tour diary was a rubbish idea. I want to be wandering the streets of Tokyo and getting lost on the underground not on the bloody myspazz! Plus, we’re deleting all your comments! Nice one brains. Keep posting though!! Ach well, y’live and learn.
WE WANT ALL YOUR PICTURES, VIDEO’S, THOUGHTS AND COMMENTS PLEASE!!!
Since our last update, we’ve played 3 shows:
Kyoto - brilliant. It was our last show with Tacica and The Jerry and it was the nuts! Wicked venue, awesome crowd. Special mention to the people at the Sauna that Matt and Junior went to. Personally, sitting sweating one’s knackers off in a room full of old naked dudes isn’t my cup of tea, but whatever takes yer fancy nancy.
Osaka - Again, ace. The loudest sound system in relation to venue size in the world, but ace nonetheless. The Reverend Matt Smith can just about hear again. We played with Quatrro and The Mirraz and both are incredible bands. America-Mura is such a cool place!! We wanted to stay for longer and cant wait to come back.
Nagoya - Wow. You people are fucking mental. The 1st gig we’ve ever done an encore at. We always, always say no!. It would have to be a really special occasion for us to do one and thankfully, it was. I mean it REALLY was. Apologies if we sweated on you a little......!
Thank you so much, to the following people for making us so welcome and for giving us the best day out ever -
Fumi, Tak, Campo and Ishi. For the hospitality and friendship you’ve shown us. Totally unexpected and massively appreciated. We’ll never forget the whole experience. Cheers boys, campai!
MILK. Milk, what can we say?! You’re a genius. Bestest tour manager in the world ever. Well, joint first with Mr Jack Amano......! Your English is improving no end! Thanks for looking after us, for putting up with us, for everything, these past few days have been a pleasure. Domo Arigato
To all the mentalists that danced and moshed and tore the roof off - OI.
To all the girls and boys that spoke to us after the gig, to those that came to the after show party, to all the staff, to everyone. You know who you are, THANK YOU!!!
What else. Hmm. Japan is the tits? Yes, yes it is. 4 boys from London (sort of) are still in awe of this incredible place. Tomorrow we play Tokyo again. The previous 2 shows have been wicked, am sure these will be too!
Please come and see us!! We play @ LUSH on Friday, and Pop It! on Saturday. They’ll be great, promise!
Ok, its Sushimi time. Beer and sushimi, cant wait!
Good morning, I am sitting in the basment of a comic shop in Kyoto!!!!
Last night we did Karaoke - it was great!!! Details of who sang what will remain a secret!!!
Anyway, lets get down to business........
Today is day 4 of our very first tour of Japan. Everything is going great. Fantastic in fact!!! The gigs have been brilliant and it has been amazing to meet so many of the great people of Japan!
Today we are travelling to Osaka. We are playing there tomorrow night with The Mirraz and Quattro at Pipe 69! If you are in Osaka please come along and party with us.
If we saw you in Nagoya with Tacica and The Jerry then you will be pleased to know that we are coming back to Nagoya on 26th March. We are playing at Zion. We will also be back in Tokyo later this week.. Please come along - it will be great to see you again.
I have to go now. Kyoto has many many amazing temples to see before we get back on the Shinkanzen.
To keep you up to date with our whereabouts we shall be updating this blog only. This means two things:
1) Previous instalments will be deleted 2) Sign up to the blog to be notified when a new instalment arrives.
As usual there will be a tour phone number to text into, and the odd bulletin to read. We have also set up a Japanese Photo Album in our gallery which will be updated whenever we can. This will be for our photo’s, and hopefully, for yours too......
A final note to the people of Japan - We are looking for as much video footage as possible for future releases and/or potential video’s. So please, feel free to be trigger happy with the camera!
We leave Costa Del Circuits tomorrow and land in Tokyo on Thursday.
So, its the 11th March. And you know what that means dontcha?! Thats right, it means that tomorrow, your very own Circuits shall be saying "1 week today we fly to Japan" - which is nice
Why?! Well, we’ve got this record out y’see. Its called Bright as Midnight. It looks like this -
