9 more days until Made In The Shade, imagine that!
Myself and fellow event organisers are working super hard to make sure the 2nd Made In The Shade is even bigger, better and busier than the last one.
There'll be over 50 indie designers, crafters and vintage sellers packed into The Lighthouse, all selling to the best damn soundtrack you'll ever hear at a market! And if you get there early enough you can score a free goody bag full of treats worth up to £30!
I'll be selling new vintage cushions, birdies, cards, and lots more goodies! Now I just need to figure out what to wear...

Hey! You! Get Off My Pavement!

Yeah, you heard me... This Sunday I shall be showcasing my 'wares to the lovely folks at Hey! You! Get Off My Pavement! As well as listening to the likes of Camera Obscura (hoot hoot!) Foxface and Stevie Jackson (tweet!) you can also buy lots of lovely things from myself and a few other specially selected Glasgow crafters and designers.
Have some BBQ, have some beers, have a dance! :)
Come and say hello on Sunday, I'll be the one stuffing my greedy face with BBQ and cider.

hoot hoot! it’s Made In the Shade!

Made in the Shade is happening on 24th May at The Lighthouse, Glasgow...
"Brought to you in association with the CEC and the Glasgow Craft Mafia, the aptly named, 'Made In The Shade' market (a slang phrase, popular in the 1950s and synonymous with guaranteed success, or a truly swell situation) launches at The Lighthouse, Mitchell Lane on Saturday 24th May!
Bringing the crème of the city's independent and creative crop together for the first time, the vision of 'Made In The Shade' is to showcase young design talent, to encourage customers to relish in the exclusivity of the handmade one-off and to promote the local businesses who are working hard to carve out creative identities amidst a mountain of mass-produced and carbon-negative products.
On the day, as you (yes, you!) explore the pick of over forty stallholders selling products crafted with love, you will be treated to the sounds of rock'n'roll rebels, honkytonkers and vintage drag on the decks.
Very special goody bags containing handmade treats from Glasgow Craft Mafia members and a special gift from The Lighthouse shop, 'Form' will be presented to early birds!"
I'll be selling lots of clare nicolson goodies, including some exclusive new designs.

Watch your back Texas....I’m paying you a visit! It’s almost time for my annual jaunt to Austin where I shall eat my own body weight in enchiladas, drink my own body weight in vodka, watch some bands, take a roadtrip, and play to my hearts content in beautiful vintage shops :)
While I’m gone, the shop will be closed :( You can purchase items but they won’t be dispatched until I return. Until then, you can of course order all the clare nicolson delights you want! Get your orders in before April 3rd!
