Where did our website go? 3 year old messages, and 012:2 vinyl
Hello Internet, this is your friend coalesce. We wanted to alert you that a virus was hacked onto our crashandbang.com website, and we could not find it to destroy it without destroying the entire site. I know, it sucks, but myspace owns us now. We hired a cool designer to fix myspace's tendency for ugliness and bad layouts, so that we can fix that and also incorporate some of the things we liked about our website, like the vinyl history (we thought that ruled). Plus a rad fan of coalesce has put together a visual color vinyl compilation for everyone too. It's supposed to be about a month until that is up. If there are any requests, let us know (put attn; sean on the message).
Oh hey, also, if you wrote us a message 3 years ago on myspace, we are just now responding to them (something like page 68 of our messages). If you got one, do you like how we totally blew off the fact that the correspondance was 3 years old? but anyone who wanted us to open for them, because they got a last minute show at a frat party somewhere within 2 hours of kansas city, yeah, don't expect a reply. yes, we are dicks.
hey also, we just noticed that relapse records just repressed the 012:2 record vinyl, after like, only 6 weeks or so. I thought it was a one time pressing only? hmmm.

there you go.we promise to try not to be strangers internet. We'll kill you with more details on our new record soon.

Please forgive coalesce, but we have that foi hoodie you wanted.
Hey guys! We know we have been kinda quiet, but that’s all for good reason. The writing of the new Full length record is pretty much all we think about, and email each other about. Jes has been flying into kansas city a lot and rehearsals could not go any better. We are close. very close. That brings us to the next topic.
We are going to be updating the online store a lot in the coming months, taking ideas that fans have been asking about for years, and turning them into a reality. why? because we like coalesce shirts? not really, we don’t get to wear our own bands stuff (sean "captain coalesce" Ingram already got in trouble for that). but we are using all the funds we make to put into the recording, and travel for the new record. We figured it was a win win situation. you get the merch you asked for, we get the record we want to make. boom! Origin style!
So please go check it out here!

General Update for end of year/new year.
Hey Folks, just a few updates as the busy holiday season has snuck up on us and already left.
First off, we have restocked our online store, and added a one time run, limited edition of Gas Jackets with the iconic looking salt art on them. There are not many of these made, and they are not being made again, so I would grab one quick. They are priced low, and if you remember how bands used to print their art on used gas jackets, then you'll know how rad these things are. Ofcourse no one in the band can wear one, as they would be nicknamed "Captain Coalesce" as Sean was back when. You can buy a jacket by clicking HERE. (update: only a couple Xl's left)
Relapse Records is also Reissuing the 0:12 Revolution in Just Listening record with new Mastering, and all new packaging. We are in love with Dan Henks original painting (plus the band just plain loves that guy personally), but to breathe new life into this out of print LP, Band friends, the Clarks (from Invisible Creature and Demon Hunter), are doing a complete rework of the concept from the ground up. When they asked Sean what he wanted to see, the answer was "Do your thing, I have no input". So you know this thing is going to rule if Sean trusts them enough to represent the band with no interference. They recently did the new Foo Fighters artwork, so I know you've seen their work. Expect the repress early next year, as all the deadlines are mid December to get it in to the label.
If you haven't gotten a Salt and Passage 7? yet, now is the time to do so, it's almost out of press, and when they are gone, that's it. It was a low pressing of 7?'s to begin with, so don't say we didn't warn you. After that, our records seem to find a home on ebay for stupid amounts. Don't be that guy.

The DVD red version is almost gone too, so if you want to kill someone with 10+ hours of coalesce playing live, get on it, because the future of this long awaited release is up in the air as well.
And lastly, Sean's Dad fell victim to a heart attack. He lived but needs open heart surgery. Sean is taking him to Columbia, Mo. this month, and seriously asks anyone with a moment to keep Bob Ingram in their prayers for a successfull surgery.
Thats all for now, but to answer any chatter on the internets, yes the band is currently still writing for the new Full Length due in late 08/ early 09. Jes has been flying in to Kansas City to continue the writing process, and it's going well. The band could not be happier with what's happening with the material, and the excitement level from all members has been set to 11 the entire time. So if you are a fan, and are worried that they are going to "break up" or loose interest, take note that it has not been the case.

Complete Unedited A.P. "Oral History of Coalesce" online now!
When A.P. decided to do an "oral history" of Coalesce, they chose long time friend Ryan J. Downey to do it. I don't think they expected a short novel on the band, as Ryan meticulously delivered to them. The 35 pages needed to be condensed to 6, and much of the story was lost to no fault of A.P.
Well, Jason from A.P. and Ryan have both given us the go ahead to post the full article here on our own website. You can click on the "History" tab at the top, or click right HERE.
A huge thanks to Jason and Ryan for letting us post this. Any band should be so lucky to have such a thorough recount of their works history. Thanks guys.

Coalesce Featured in Alarm Magazine

There is a little bit of residual Coalesce press that is trickling in before we go into hibernation to finish writing our new full length. The latest one is from Alarm Press. This one was a lot of fun to do, and they sent a photographer out to boot.
