New song for the U.S. Olympic team!
The 2008 Olympic Games are just around the corner, and I've had the unique opportunity to help support the U.S. Olympic Team. A few weeks ago, I recorded an exclusive song titled "Somethin' Special" for the AT&T Team USA Soundtrack. My goal was to create a song to inspire and support the U.S. Olympic Team athletes (and of course my fans) as they compete in one of the biggest competitions of their lives. Several other artists have also come together to record exclusive songs for the Soundtrack. The great thing about the project is that the proceeds from downloads, ringtones and Answer Tones will go directly to support Team USA. You can download "Somethin' Special" online at www.att.net/TeamUSA or from AT&T MEdia Mall on your wireless handset. While you're there, you can also watch my music video for this track and a few exclusive interviews about the song. The Team USA Soundtrack is only available through the Olympic Games – starting August 8 – so don't wait too long to check it out. Good luck Team USA!

Adventures in Europe and Asia
Hello everbody around the world! I am with my band on a Promo Tour through Europe and Asia for the next 2 months and I’m gonna try to update you on everything that goes on during my travels ok! With me is my drummer Michael Baker, guitar player Tim Fagan, guitar and background singer Justin Young, bass player Mike White, and my keyboard player Will Gramling! My makeup artist Marissa and tour manager Trini are with us as well! I have lagged on posting these when I wrote them but, here are some stories of our busy days and our fun adventures.......
February 16th-18th: Norway- Today we flew from Saltlake City Utah to Oslo Norway. The reason we left from Salt Lake is because we were playing a rescheduled show there that I had canceled in the winter because I was sick. We also played Aspen and Denver as well!
Ok so here we go......
Burrrr it is cold! It was cold in Utah but I just can’t ever get used to my body being numb! ; ) I did a bad thing and slept right when I got to my hotel room, then I was up all night bored out of my mind and then super tired the next day when I needed to be awake. That kind of messed me op time wise for the rest of the tour. I never believed in jet lag until this day! From 2-7 AM I was wide awake with nothing to do, and then from noon-8PM I could not keep my eyes open durring my interviews. I got through them though and everyone was very understanding!
February 19th-20th: Sweden- So we are here in Stockholm and its a lot like Norway here, they are very close to each other and are very similar. We had some real swedish chocolate!
February 20th-21st: Switzerland- Well the view from my hotel room in Zurich was beautiful.... But that’s all I got to see. I was only there for a day and I was doing interviews inside the whole time. But the hotel was very historical and had GIGANTIC chandaleers hanging from the cealing so it was pretty cool to have interviews in! This is a place I would love to come back to someday to see a bit more of!
February 21st-26th: Holland- Yeay Amsterdam!!!!! This city is so fricken cool! There are trolly carts and bicycles everywhere. Those are the main forms of transpertation here. The streets are small and made of cobblestone. Water canals seperate the streets and make the city so interesting to look at! My band noticed I was a little down lately cause I was missing home so they bought me a bouquet of flowers, jasmine perfume, a sweet card, and a dragonfruit (cause we drink that flavor of vitamin water all the time back home but never tried the actual fruit before). Its beautiful, looks like a big closed pink vibrant flower on the outside and inside looks like a white kiwi. We went on a canal cruise, had lunch and drinks on the boat and took lots of pictures! The food in europe is very interesting. Don’t really like it too much but I’m trying to go into it with an open mind. Gotta say I’m really craving some good mexican food from back home! We played a showcase at this club and the label had made me a personalized backdrop. It was a picture of my face. It was a HUGE picture! My band and I couldn’t stop laughing at it! It looked like I was going to bite down and eat my drummer Mike. Lol. They kept taking pictures of themselves looking up at the picture from underneath with really scared faces. Its hard to sleep at night with the time change so my band and I went to a pub across the street and then to a cute little coffee shop. They had a DJ that played really mellow music and they had candles lit everywhere. Very relaxing! The perfect thing to make me tired and ready for bed! The next day I went shopping before I had interviews and I got some cool new boots! Very funky! When I walked into one of the stores Bubbly came on and all I could do was smile! Its nice hearing it every once in a while cause it reminds me that all this hard work, traveling and being away from home is paying off!
February 27th-28th: Austria- Oh Vienna... I’d have to say that this city is the most historic of all the cities I’ve been to so far, or at least that I had time to see. We are close to Germany here so the food was very farmiliar to what I had eaten every time I was in Germany. I’ve been to Germany 4 or 5 times in the past year, crazy huh! My band and I went to dinner and no one spoke English. The menues were only in Dutch. So we decided to close our eyes, open the menu and point, and what ever they brought out to us we would have to eat! I ended up getting some kind of lamb and it was actually pretty good!
February 28th-March 2nd: France- Bonsier!!! We arrived in France today and the weather has stayed the same, cold and gloomy. We got taken straight to the Eifel Tower and the Louvre! Then my band and I went to a french quisene restaurant with people from my label. It was the most amazing red wine I have ever had, we ate duck (which I did not like, too fatty) and deliscious creme brullet which I normally don’t like but couldn’t stop eating! After that we drove to the top of this hill in Paris where there is a Cathedral that’s lit up at night, went inside, lit a candle and took pictures! I had been really missing home lately so my cousin Ashleigh who lives in San Francisco came on tour with me for the next month! She travels all over the world and just got back from Brazil visiting our other cousin Aaryn who’s teaching english down there! My hotel room is the coolest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in! Its 2 stories, has built in speakers everywhere (bathrooms, bedroom, showers, living room), pretty darn cool! And the service at the hotel was spectacular! My label rep in Paris is really cute and such a cool guy! It was fun being around him cause the girls and I had a crush on him and he kept makin us laugh with his cute french accent! ; ) The next day we went to a radio station and sang Bubbly (of course). The French actually corrected me on how to pronounce my last name! I guess its pronounced (cai-ya). But my family has always said (cal-ay) So we’re stickin to it! Over all I really enjoyed my time in Paris and can’t wait to come back next month!
March 2nd-7th: Japan- Conichiwa!! I’m in the home of real sushi!!! My favorite! I was so excited to go to Japan for this reason! I eat sushi everyday back home in Cali and finally got to eat it in the right country! Even though I think I like ours a little better. Only because we load the rolls with a bunch of yummy sauces! They are much healthier in Japan! We went to Osaka but spent most of our time in Tokyo. It looks like Manhattan, a big city full of lights and tall buildings. We took a train to get there, I love trains, they have the same feeling of a tour bus where they rock you to sleep and you can look out the window and daydream while seeing the little towns inbetween the big cities! I’m trying to learn a few words of the languages for each country that I go to! Yesterday I got out of the car and yelled out "Arigato"!!!! Which means (thank you) instead of hello, so I kinda looked like a dork! Oh well, I’m trying right! During my interviews I have a translater talking back and forth between the interviewer and my self. Its sort of strange at the time but also really amazing to watch a person converse in different languages to help 2 people understand each other! Next stop on our promo tour is Taiwan.......
March 7th-11th Taiwan- Nihow!!!! We got in to Taipei and went to our amazing hotel room and I took a nap! This time difference and jet lag is killing me! We went to some real authentic chinese food for dinner! It was increadable! Nothing like what we have at home. The next day I did radio, played Bubbly and Realize acoustic and had an mtv interview. Then my band and I played a stripped down acoustic show for listeners. It was so much fun! There was this cute young boy right in the front row, his name is Samuel and his smile made me feel so comfortable up on stage, especially cause I get so nerveous up there! I got to do a little shopping after working all day and then went back to the hotel to sleep! Now we r leaving Taipei and I can forsure say that I had a great time! The weather is a little bit warmer than where we have been the past month and the people are so sweet! Our "tour bus" for the few days we were here was literally a "tour bus" (tourist bus) and way too big for my 4 piece band and I but it was fun to ride in, the inside decore was from back in the 70’s. Lol. And I wanna say that my "fans" here in Taiwan are the cutest ever! They all brought me little Taiwanese gifts after my acoustic showcase and cards with kind words written in them! They made me feel like being away from home is becoming ok because they make me feel good when I come to their home land! I’m sad to leave but looking forward to coming back someday soon! We are on our way to the airport to fly to the Philippines right now......
March 11th-14th Philippines- We arived in Manila today and the weather is beautiful and sunny!!! I love it so much! It was amazing watching the plane desending to land, there were bungalos in the middle of the ocean, everything was so colorful and eye catching! When I got off the plane there was press out side waiting for me, so weird..... I’m still not used to that kind of stuff. Then we got in our vans and the police escorted us to our hotel. It was insaine! They were driving into oncoming traffic, making our own lanes with their lights and sirens on. Kind of scary but mostly fun! I felt like I was in a movie or in a car video game! Now I’m getting my hair and make up done for a long day of interviews and then we have a show tonight! I had interviews all day and a press conference, then we went to sound check at the mall we were playing at. The girl that opened for me was amazing!!!! Her voice is a mixture of Lauryn Hill and India Arie! And she’s a great guitar player/performer. Her name is Julianne, you all should check her out! And she’s a beautiful girl and really sweet, you’ll love her! We played our acoustic show and it was a lot of fun! There were about 5,000 people there watching! On our way out we were getting mobbed by my fans, it was insaine, nothing I had ever experienced before! We all went to dinner after and tried some (different) styles of food. We thought we were eating beef and mushrooms but it ended up to be pig ears and fat. So gross! A lot of the other food was really good though! The next day I had the morning off, so I slept in a little bit, went to the gym in the hotel, then laid out by the pool with the girls and had Mai Tais! Maris and I got really tan, Ash got a little burned. We played another show that night, went very well! Then we went to another dinner at this outside restaurant and there was a live R&B cover band playing. They asked me to sing Bubbly for everyone so I did! We went out dancing later that night for a little bit and it was fun! I miss dancing! We left early because it was too smokey in there! The next morning we did some sight seeing, and I took lots of pictures of the town on the river(a very sad sight to see, run down shacks, trash everywhere, laundry hanging to dry out the windows). Then I had some phone interviews with radio stations in Australia. Later went to the airport to fly to Malaysia..........

Shows this week postponed
Bad news everyone - I'm sick and will have to postpone the Salt Lake City, Aspen, and Denver shows. They will be re-scheduled, most likely in late January or early February (we should have the new dates posted tomorrow). Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't want to show up and put on a bad show. Hope you all enjoy the holidays, and I'll see you in the new year!

i want you all to know....
Hey everybody! I know you are all bummed out about the shortened song clips on my page. I am too, and I'm not sure what to do in this situation.
Let me first say, I love my label! They have helped my music reach so many new listeners, and they treat me wonderfully!
But it's because of you, my myspace fans, listening to my songs from day one, that I even got a chance to start this amazing career. So many of you have gone out and bought my album, even though full length versions of my songs have been on my page, for 2 years!
I wish I could take it back to how it used to be! I'm doing what I can, so hang in there. I completely understand the frustration! I will keep you updated on what's going on ok!
Thanks you guys! ~Cc
