...FROM COLIN
Hi All, Hope you enjoy some of the below - it's amazing what you can find in the loft. See some of you during September's new live dates. Have a look below for Glasgow and Liverpool. More to be announced. The Edinburgh Edge Festival Corn Exchange gig was a good one. Thanks for the messages! I've been back home on Mull recording new material to follow The Water (more on that on my blog), and been writing loads, and trying to carry my GIANT sized Andy Warhol book around London (you'll see why soon..). His prediction that Celebrity would become the new commodity was the inspiration for my new single 'Famous For Being Famous'. The last thing that I recorded for the album, literally as the final taxi from the studio was waiting, was: "Andy Warhol said!!!" It kind of worked, even in deepest, darkest Sussex.....

Colin in your Bedroom gig - and the winner is.....
MYSPACE WINNER - BEDROOM GIG
Well, actually is was a kitchen gig and it was won by Sarah Marie, a student in Greenwich. Footage of the 5 tracks performed in Sarah's kitchen in the student flats - the setlist was written on the previous night's carry-out box from outside the flat next door - will soon be on colinmacintyre.com and YouTube. The performance included Sarah's cheese graters and other kitchen appliances, and took place on the day of the London Borderline gig. It was followed by a boat trip in the sun up the Thames to the soundcheck at the venue. Here's Sara's profile: hhttp://profile.myspace.com/index.cfmfuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=58268923
Thanks to everyone who came along to Colin's May UK tour, from Mull to London. More gig news coming soon, and news of the second single to be taken from The Water.
