OMG BLOG!
Current mood: crunk
Hey it's the once a year I actually play out! It's the annual Led Zeppelin tribute show at Nietzsche's at, let's say 8? Not honestly sure. Feb 16th. Playing bass with my friends (and possibly yours? Jess/Eric/Mike/Scott? Maybe?). So, all of you whom I've neglected - against my better judgement, I might add - come let me neglect you publicly!
Not much is new, I'm enjoying apartment life on Buffalo's turbulent West Side, been writing music with Todd again along with our friends Mike & Andy, which has been really exciting, and we'll hopefully record something soonish... Rehearsals for the Zep show have been really fun. That's enough, I'll cover the rest in a new blog 6-12 months from now. Thanks.

Remember that other Voltron?
The one made of vehicles instead of lions?

Yeah, that was pretty shitty. Not Go-Bots shitty, but shitty just the same.
Thanks.

What's this Post New Blog button for?
Hi all,
After being scarce you'd wish you had something worth saying, a reason for being away - I don't have that. I've been a bit of a hermit, and a bit broke trying to catch up on old debt and not hemmorhage from the new, but I wouldn't avoid anyone just because it costs money to hang out, I've just been just enjoying being by myself. It's not like I don't miss y'all, besides, I know I'll see all my babies' mamas on father's day , it's just my time to be a recluse. If anyone ever needs me, hopefully you know that comes in WAY ahead of me feeling antisocial.
Also, if anyone plays tennis, I'd really love to start playing again - lemme know!

Life. Itself.
Current mood: content
Category: Life
Hey everyone, What to report? Loving the fall weather, striking a pretty good balance in terms of time spent with my friends, making a recording I'm really proud of (and hopefully more on the way), discovering Arrested Development and having just the right people to share it with, all this and more... I even have regular lunch dates with friends, regular spot nights, gigs that I forget to ask off of work because of, these types of things. On the horizon is hopefully a trip to Chicago to visit my cousin, lots of gigs, and secret cake, time permitting. Thanks to all my friends for being such. <3, Corey

More of the same is a good thing.
Band practice, recording, and went for coffee or Indian food with nearly everyone who reads this, with a few key exceptions (Hi Jess & Bill, Dave & Bridget!). The effort to start being the catalyst for some goings-on should begin soon, or at worst some day... I love everyone.

Back in my day all we had were 8-bit video games that came on cartridges!
Current mood: recumbent
Things are looking up: strained relations are on the mend, bands are going well, even got some physical activity in the form of basketball with the Glassline guys. Very caucasian basketball - complete with lowered rim - but constantly moving with guys much smaller than me type basketball nonetheless. Put a bittersweet end to Under The Eve, I was a little more reserved onstage than a last show should probably warrant (UTE was ironically the band I usually had the easiest time looking comfortable[read:not dead] onstage with) but was running a gamut of emotions whether I showed it or not. I think it's all about projecting a positive self image and I think that self image is getting stronger, so bully for me because I think that'll start coming through more. Other than that I'm sad to report I've been and will continue to be broke, so as opposed to trying to buy stuff to make me happy I'm working on enjoying stuff I already do have - DVD's I've never watched, books I haven't read, video games I never played, walk I've neglected to go on. It's working to a point; I still need to up the responsibility a little [read: brown bagging instead of $10 at Spot for lunch every other day]. Hey, at least I order tea and a chicken wrap and not the desert in a mug I was accustomed to, plus it totals over a mile of walking to/from the hospital, so that can't be bad... That's about it, thanks for all the support with the bands and the other stuff; Glassline is recording and I'm pretty sure In Transit is about to be, so I'm excited to share that. And yeah, that's all I've got for now; see you soon!

Strangeways Here We Come...
Current mood: good
The title doesn't mean anything other than I like The Smiths... Things have been going well/better - I think my friends who read this (the ones I was on sour terms with) and I can agree we're on much better terms now after talking some stuff out. I've also been made to realize that if I'm going to be so analytical I have to give my own words the same scrutiny & consideration I forget that I give to others', which was why I pulled my old blogs and started fresh. I don't think I shouldn't have to answer if I said something objectionable, but I think I said some objectionable things out of absolute absentmindedness. The motivation is to be conscious if I say something that blows up in my face so that I can't be surprised, but moreover to simply not say things that are going to blow up in my face. In less redundant news, I worked my first shift at Target in 5 months. I think I was more surprised than anything how much I remembered - old passwords, keystrokes, the works. I certainly don't want retail to be my life, but I can say I honestly missed being around a lot of the people I worked with - it's a very wacky kind of social experience, and hell, they pay me. Lastly, the bands have been developing a ton and my friends have been great about supporting them. I certainly don't expect or really even ask them to support the bands at shows, but they're great about it, and they should know it means a ton and I don't take them or their presence for granted. That's about it - Under The Eve's playing what will probably be our last show ever, which is bittersweet - I think we're a great collection of people who write some really original stuff that unfortunately no one latched on too. I don't think we'd ever have the focus to be as exceptional as we could/should have been, but I'll stay fond of what we did together. Anyway the point was that we'll play Saturday August 13th at The Evening Star in Niagara Falls, if I see you there hit me up for a drink! 'Til next time...

Nothing new.
Had a rather decent gig Friday - many thanks to the bunch of you that came to see/hear/drink-in-the-presence-of In Transit, it means a lot. We're hoping to have yet another decent or better gig this coming Saturday (the 23rd) with glassline; doors at 7, glassline takes the stage at 10, and it's our guitarist Jeremy's birthday, so it'll be fun to celebrate that shizz. Other than that life goes on, wake up, wash up, work, leave work, sweat, sleep; repeat.
