Master’s Exhibition Invitations
Current mood: evil
Category: Automotive

If you would like me to send you an invitation to my Master's show in July please message me your address. Even if you live a thousand miles away and can't make it but still want one that is totally cool with me!

The opening reception is July 11th and will feature a showing of The Cocktail Party, my Combichrist music video, and live music from Automatic Override. Also on display will be select pages from my upcoming graphic novel and nearly everything I've done in grad school. Hope to see you there!!!

The mania is about to end. Finally.

Love,
duncan

"F**k That S**t" Takes Best of Fest
Current mood: evil
Category: Music

My Combichrist music video for "F**k That S**t" took the Best of Fest award in the Music Video category on Saturday at the Florida Music Festival - Indie Film Jam. I was in Orlando for a total of 26 and a half hours to accept the award. Talk about short and sweet!

I have my Master's exhibition coming up in about a month and a half. The pressure is on, but I don't think the fear will kick in till about two weeks before hand....At least I hope not, for my sanity's sake.

The latest Machine Head CD is fuckin awesome. Jesus Christ! I hope they don't fall back into any nu-metal territory again anytime soon.

Podcast 10 is online, featuring the new Pro-Choice cd in its entirety. Be sure to give it a listen and check these Hays natives out!

In conclusion A new work of digital anti-art is complete. It's below, titled Sheep & Shepherd.

Big thanks to everybody, I love you unconditionally!

Combichrist "F**k That S**t" Music Video Premiering @ Florida Music Festival
Current mood: artistic
Category: Music

My Combichrist "F**k That S**t" Music Video is premiering next week at the Florida Music Festival & Conference as part of the Indie Film Jam! I'm stoked to have my video showing at this highly reputable festival.

If you haven't seen the video yet you can watch it at youtube and my website

In other news, I have a new band that is playing quite a few shows. The name is Automatic Override and it includes me on guitar, the ultra talented Courtney Nienke on Vocals and Groove-Machine Joshua Richards on drums.

Also, I recently completed a new book cover for Andersen Prunty's "Jack & Mr. Grin." Look for the book in July!

Lastly, I have a new job that I am really, really liking. I get to draw all kinds of new logos and shit for the local award winning Lb. Brewing Co. My first design comes out this week and it's for the German Hefeweizen. So if you're in town go have a beer and check it out!

That is all for now. Later on!

5 Year Anniversary
Current mood: thankful
Category: Religion and Philosophy

I usually don't like tooting my own horn, but this is a very special occasion. So bare with me for just a moment. This month marks the 5 Year Anniversary of corporatedemon.com. What began as a simple little way to show some of my design projects at Fort Hays State University has evolved into...well, what you see today. Since 2003, the corporatedemon.com name has been proudly and aggressively stamped onto six published book covers, five complete CD's, two highly acclaimed music videos, one multi-award winning animated short, and who knows how many works of art. I love you all and thank you for the continuous support. Now let's see how much more trouble I can cause by 2013.

The Urge
Current mood: blank
Category: Writing and Poetry

My man Andersen Prunty has signed on over at Eraserhead Press. You can now get his book "The Overwhelming Urge" at Amazon and Barnes & Noble!

He is also in need of some reviews, and is offering a PDF download of the book to anyone who wants to give it a serious review. More info on this here at his blog!

So give it a read. I highly recommend it to any fan of Bizarro or otherwise.

Peace!

Robonaut: Transmitting Now
Current mood: geeky
Category: Music

////////////Begin Transmission:

I have finished writing my latest cd, simply titled ROBONAUT.

Stylistically, I would consider this the exact opposite of The Sequence of Prime. The percussion is sparse, it's all relatively down tempo, and it was performed and recorded completely on the fly using Ableton Live. Yes that is correct, the songs were not really structured or "written," they just sort of...happened.

Essentially, I would consider it the soundtrack to a Low Budget Sci-Fi movie that doesn't exist.

And now, 9 months later after the project initially began, it's finally complete! Hoorah!

Currently, it is only available for purchase through Paypal. I will make it available on iTunes as soon as I can afford it (that costs a little cash). So if you are interested:

And if you like, here is Robonaut on MySpace.

End transmission/////////.

New Society Kills Society & Robonaut Tracks!
Current mood: adventurous
Category: Music

I have uploaded two brand new songs for your listening pleasure:

The first of which is the long-awaited next track from my collaboration with Tim Shippy: Society Kills Society. The track is called "We Will Die Fighting" and you can listen to it on the SKS MySpace Page!

Or if you like you can listen to a much better quality HERE.

Next up is a new track for my Sci-Fi themed ambient CD Robonaut. This one is called "When The Comet Returned" and you can check it out on the Robonaut MySpace page!

Or you can listen to a higher quality version of this one RIGHT HERE.

Also, I have re-released and made available for purchase two CD's from my high school youth: "SP:CD" and "Former Humans" by Mancubus (we picked the name before incubus was the next hottest thing, in case you are wondering!). These two cd's were recorded over long distance between me, my cousin Eric Sigg and our good bud Mike Z. Check 'em out or buy them here!

Thanks a bunch....and if you want, let me know what you think of the new tunes!!!

Over and out.

The Viking
Current mood: intense
Category: Writing and Poetry

His breath reeks of ale. Clothes stench of sweat and homegrown tobacco. A voice that grinds like the railroad. Six foot six with an added inch of broken leather. Dual silver six shooters accentuate his hips. Fully bearded. Fully loaded. The coldest thousand yard stare you've ever witnessed.

His birth name is Sven Halldis. The town knows him as The Viking.

It's a hot god damn day. Sven strides into town, amorphous and black in front of the punishing red sun. It's a sight the town sees once a month. A sight that is now considered a warning.

But this time is different. He's late. And he's alone.

An anxious young boy runs into the Pharmacy. A tremble in his speech. "The Vikins comin' after all Daddy. Wanme ta run upstairs and tell Mama?"

His father comes around from behind the counter and leans out the door to see the warning for himself. Wolf has been cried before. "Yes, son, please do."

Across the street the ragtime piano stops leaking from The Saloon. A few stray men, women and children slip quietly into whichever building is most convenient. In all actuality there is no place to hide, but being indoors eases the nerves.

The sound of rocks flattening into the earth under The Viking's heavy handmade boots gets louder and louder. It seems like a year passes between each step. Beads of perspiration build upon the brow of every single soul in town.

The Pharmacist takes a bottle off the shelf, flips off the cap and pops a few pills. His son runs frantically back downstairs, rifle in hand. "Here daddy...just in case." He barely has time to turn the bolt and inspect the chamber before The Viking stands ominously in his doorway.

"You won't be needin' that today, Doc," says The Viking. The Pharmacist's eyes flicker in a startled confusion. His son stands in stone-stiff befuddlement. The Viking continues, "Horse is sick. Think it's heatstroke. Not too sure but he just buckled out 'bout half a mile back. Any ideas?"

Doc swallows a brick. "Very well could be. It's hotter than sin on Sunday. Surprised you even made it here, actually. Let me get you a bucket of water and a towel." He hands the rifle back to his son and exits towards the back.

The Viking watches the boy carefully while waiting for Doc to return. Curious eyes stare in suspense from across the street. Not a sound is heard save for a few flies. Doc returns with the bucket and says, "Try and get him to drink as much of this as you can. Soak this towel up and lay it over his head. Probably just dehydrated...But you better hurry, or it might be too late."

Sven takes the towel and bucket of water. With more conviction than the local Preacher portrays on a weekly basis, he says "Much obliged." He exits the Pharmacy and heads back into the quickly setting sun.

The Pharmacist brings his son into his arms. His wife cautiously comes downstairs to join them. The Piano begins playing at The Saloon. Life once again roams the streets. And for one more brutal month of blistering summer heat, the town lives in peace.
