Big Bang and God - hmmm
Current mood: artistic
Category: Religion and Philosophy

If you get nothing more out of what you read here but this one thing, then I'll consider my time writing this extremely well spent; and that one thing is this – "God exists!"

Many of you already knew that and hence, may not find this news to be very surprising.  But here is the part that most of you, including those who already believe in God probably don't know.  There is proof.

Believing in God need not be simply a matter of faith.  Instead it should be an incontrovertible fact understood by all, and this is central to being able understand and apply the rest of what I have to share with you here within the following pages.  Very little of what I have to share with you is new or ground breaking information.  The information is out there for everyone who seeks it and has the mind frame to understand what it all means.  All I am doing here is compiling this information into one source and connecting the dots for anyone who is interested, seeking truth, or desires a deeper understanding of the universe in which we live and our place within it.

Before we go any further, it is important that I clear something up right away.  This is not a book about religion.  Religion, in and of itself, has very little to do about God.  There are thousands of religions in the world.  Perhaps even more than that, the exact number is a mystery to me.  I have never researched it, but I know that off the top of my head I could rattle off a list that would be several pages long.

Many religions are similar, sharing key elements and differ only in the interpretation of scripture.  Other religions are completely unique and some lack a central God figure at all.  The point is that religion is irrelevant and can actually be a hindrance to many people.  You do not need to recognize any specific religion to believe that there is a God.  Part of why so many people refuse to acknowledge the existence of God is because of all the varying and conflicting religions in the world, and because of many horrific things that have been done throughout the years by people supposedly acting in the name of God.  The truth of it is that God created mankind; mankind created religion.  No atrocity ever committed by a religious zealot has ever been orchestrated by God.

Therefore, when you consider the existence of God, it is best off to keep religion out of it at least initially.  It eliminates the confusion.

I am not trying to say that religion in and of it self is bad or unimportant.  Many incredible and wondrous things have been done in the name of God as well.  Religion helps to give people a sense of unity and purpose.  It gives them a moral and ethical code to follow.  For people who have a specific religion, they believe that they live according to the way that God has intended for them to live and they feel a special connection with the creator.

This is all good.  But you do not need to accept anyone's beliefs to believe the truth about the existence of God.  I myself do follow a specific religious faith, but I am not going to try to win you over to my way of thinking regarding my beliefs here.  That is not my purpose.  Instead, I want to share with you some information that will help you see yourself, the universe, our world and everything in it for what it is – an amazing, wonderful, divine miracle intentionally designed by an intelligent, conscious and loving creator.

There is an extremely important reason why you should strongly consider the things you are going to be reading here and this is important regardless of whether you are an atheist, an agnostic, or already believe in God.  This live you are living is extremely important and you are the rarest and most precious masterpiece ever created.  All of you, every single one!

You are exactly as you are supposed to be.  You are perfect and special, and capable of the most extraordinary things.  Your life has meaning, and you were meant to experience great joy, over-abundance, and fulfillment in all aspects of your life.  God has great things in store for you.  There is nothing that you can't be, can't have or that you can't accomplish.

It doesn't matter where you are now in your life or what happened yesterday.  God has created a universe complete with all the laws and processes in place to enable you to reach your full potential and accomplish whatever you want!  The key is in your perception of the world around you and how your mind works.  Faith is the deciding factor in how successful you are at manifesting the life you wish.

Not faith in God exactly, though I say this cautiously.  There are many people who are very successful and are living dream lives who do not believe in God at all.  But faith is vitally important regardless – faith in yourself, faith that what you want to happen will happen, faith that life is good and fair.  Now how contradictory is this to what most of us believe and have been taught.

How many of you have been told all your life that life is not fair, that life is difficult, life is a struggle, you have to work hard and sacrifice to get anywhere in this world and even then you may not accomplish what you desire to – because life is unfair.  Well if you believe that – your life is guaranteed to be difficult, you're going to struggle, work hard and sacrifice.  Even then, you probably will not reach the potential you are striving for because you will be expecting things not to go your way and the universe will oblige you.  God has designed it to be this way.

Why would he do this, you ask?  Because he has designed it for us to receive what we think, feel, believe and strive for.  He created a world for us where there are no limits and anything is possible.  But if you think, feel and believe that life is cruel, hard, or unfair this will put limits on what you are willing to strive for and instead of attracting abundance you will attract those things that preoccupy your thoughts and make your life the way it is instead of the way it is supposed to be.  It is a self fulfilling prophecy that will plague not only your life, but that you will hand down to your children and so on as they learn how to perceive their world from you the way you learned to perceive yours from your parent, care-givers and peers.

This universal law is the "Law of Attraction."  God has woven this law into the fabric of the universe and it is as set as the law of gravity.  It guarantees that everyone can obtain what they need and desire regardless of who they are or where they come from or what they start off with.  It levels the playing field.  All it requires is faith.  If you have faith that what you want is coming to you, it preoccupies your thought and you are willing to take the required action to obtain it – you will get it.  Now how fair is that?  All you must do is believe.

So, you're not convinced?  I know.  I'm jumping ahead of myself.  I have more to say on this subject later but first I have to convince you that there is definitely a God.  As I told you, there is proof.  Now after I've proven to you that God exists, the concept of the law of attraction should be an easy sell, right?  Well, let's begin.  This is going to be a lot easier for me to do than you might think.

Let's begin by examining what we think we know.

In the beginning there was nothing, no galaxies, no solar systems, no planets, no meteorites, and no life.  There was no matter whatsoever, only a swirling mass of gas.  At some point these swirling gases reached a critical mass and there was a gigantic explosion.  The gases within collided with one another and various matter was formed as a result and all this debris was scattered through out the universe in huge clumps forming uncountable galaxies.  Over time this space debris became organized as certain natural physical laws went to work and eventually heavenly bodies formed including a tiny relatively insignificant planet that eventually became known as earth.

This colossal prehistoric event responsible for all of creation is known in the scientific community as the big bang theory.  Now this account is a brief and dramatic oversimplification, granted, but it is fair summation.  It is neat and logical and capable of explaining the existence of the universe without the need of a creator.  In fact the term "creation" isn't even applicable here because nothing was actually created at all.  Everything that came about as a result, strictly speaking, was an accident – a cosmic side effect.

When you read about the big bang theory, the evidence that is sited is profound.  Many brilliant minds have contributed to it and on the surface the science makes sense.  Much of the observed phenomena agrees with the physics and is used to support the theory.  But it is of vital importance to recognize the fact that regardless of how many letters follow the names of the people doing the research – the big bang is only a theory.  It is not proven, though it is taught in schools as if it were fact.

Unfortunately for the scientists who are convinced that this theory is correct, not all of the observed science is capable of supporting it.  In fact, there is some very strong evidence that conflicts with it entirely – so strongly in fact that it serves to invalidate it completely.  Allow me to explain.

The big bang was simply a huge explosion.  The mega-mother of all explosions, if you will, but when push comes to shove an explosion is all it was.  Now, as an explosion it is subject to all of the natural physical laws of the universe.  This means that certain predictions can be made regarding the particles involved the same as with any other explosion.  The problem the scientists are having is that certain crucial predictions, predictions that should work out to be absolutely correct if their theory were accurate, are turning out to be absolutely wrong.

Allow me to give you an example.  Consider a typical explosion, any explosion, like a fire cracker going off for example.  Once the fuse burns down and ignites the powder inside and combustion occurs there is this huge release of energy, correct?  With the release of this energy debris is scattered all around in all directions.  But the fire cracker is only so large, and the amount of combustible material is small – so the energy isn't that great.  As a result, the debris is only capable of traveling so far.  Eventually the energy dissipates and the debris falls down to the ground.  Before this happens however, it first begins to slow down, the further it gets from the point were the explosion occurred.  This is the nature of all explosions.

Now keeping this in mind, let's consider the big bang.  First off, keep in mind that this was supposed to be a really big bang, far bigger than any of us can truly comprehend – so big that as an event it isn't actually over yet.  The debris involved that is being moved by this explosion is still in motion – in this case what we are talking about is the galaxies.  The galaxies are still being hurtled through the universe by the force of this gigantic explosion.

Over the years, scientists have measured the speed at which the galaxies are getting further apart and by this they can calculate the speed at which they are moving.  Now think back to our firecracker example.  What happened to the debris being moved by the explosion in that example?  In time, the debris began to slow down as the energy dissipated correct?  So what would be your prediction as to what would be happening to the speed that the galaxies are moving throughout the universe?  As more time passes, they would move slower, and then slower, and then slower still – until eventually they stopped moving at all like in the case of the firecracker explosion right?

Wrong!  The speed at which the galaxies are moving has actually increased over time.  This defies the laws of physics!  Based upon this one fact alone it is safe to say that the big bang theory is absolutely incorrect.  You will not here this from the scientific community however.  Too many reputations are at stake to nullify a theory that has long been considered the only possible explanation for the existence of the universe.  Instead you will hear rationalizations.  They will come up with some reason why the universe is not behaving as it should be and they will claim that more research will be needed before it can be better understood.  Essentially what they will do is come up with another theory to explain how the first theory can still be correct despite the evidence to the contrary.  Science is not supposed to work that way.

Why not take a step back and re-examine the entire theory as a whole?  Why not admit that maybe they had it wrong the whole time?  Simple, to do so would practically be admitting that there is a supreme creator.  It would mean that God exists.  They are not about to admit this, or even consider it.  There is a good reason why they feel so strongly about this.  Science has practically become a religion in and of itself, with a full set of firm beliefs based solely on faith and in spite of the facts.  I will talk more on this a little further on.  For now, I want to declare my first piece of proof that there is a God.

The universe exists.  It is as complex as it is enormous as it is beautiful.  Such perfection does not come about by accident.  No one simply slinging paint upon a wall from across the room is going to create a Rembrandt.  It requires skill and intention to create a masterpiece.  God created the universe.  It was created intentionally by an intelligent and purposeful creator.  The only semi-serviceable alternative theory is disproved.   The big bang never happened.  You can debate that if you wish, but when you consider the evidence you'll have to admit – if you have any objectivity at all, that the theory is wrong.  And if that is so – what is left to explain the existence of the universe beside the existence of God?

I called the big bang theory a semi-serviceable alternative theory to the existence of a creator and I want to return to this for a moment.  There has always been a huge problem with this theory as a whole and I'm sure you've heard this before or even though of it yourself, but it deserves mentioning.

If in the beginning there was nothing except this enormous collection of swirling gas, then where did this swirling gas originate?  Where did it come from?  Big bang theorists hate this question.  They bob and weave and dance around this question whenever asked.  However it is an important and valid question.  It implies the necessity for a creator even if the entire concept of a big bang were accurate.  I have always thought from a personal perspective as a matter of opinion that if the big bang was the mechanism by which the universe came into being, that it was no more then a descriptive narration of the way in which God did the work and not a theory that excluded the need for God at all.

What WE think we know and what WE actually know
Category: Religion and Philosophy

WRITTEN BY WAYNE CHESLICK.... he is still in the process but this is some of what will be in his book...

-    What we think we know and what we actually know.

-    I heard in a movie once, and I can't actually remember what movie it was but I'm sure it will come to me eventually, a character say that there were only two absolute truths he was sure of, 'yes there is a God and I'm not him.'

-    I agree.  What else is there that's guaranteed.  Everything else that we believe to be true is mere speculation – everything!

-    Oh, I know this sounds like an untruth itself.  Surely we know plenty of things.  We know medicine and physics and chemistry.  We can send a man to the moon, build a mechanical heart or clone a sheep.  We know geology, astronomy, biology and mathematics.  We can dig a hole in the ground and unearth fossils, relics, and artifacts from the past that teach us things that predate history, hell – that predate humanity for that matter.  We can launch probes into outer space, drop cameras and submersibles into the deepest parts of the ocean and we have scoured the globe.  Surely we know a lot.

-    How can any sane, remotely intelligent person seriously claim there to be only two absolute truths?

-    A fair question, I suppose.  The answer is simple.  So simple that it eludes most people, slips under their radar if you will.  The answer is that most, if not all of what we think we know, is wrong.

-    I know, I know, you feel as if you've been slapped – I know!  There is a spreading sensation of warmth radiating out from your guts and you sense your face getting flushed.  You're sitting there and you want to argue with me for making such an absurd statement.  Undoubtedly I've already lost some of you entirely and right now you have put down this book and are currently in the process of firing off an angry e-mail.

-    As for the rest of you, stick with me for a while longer.  Let me explain.  See what you think…

-    The key to understanding what I'm talking about is to first begin examining the things that we 'think' we know more closely and with scrutiny.  Think about it.  How much of what you have been taught can you validate personally?

-    All of us have been told from a very early age not to believe everything we read.  Anyone who has ever looked over some of the magazines you find in the supermarket checkout lane knows that this is very good advice.  There is no shortage of useless information, lies, propaganda, exaggerations, and opinions out there.  Other information that is available isn't intentionally meant to deceive.  Sometimes it's just wrong.

-    We've all run things that we've learned through our internal filters and have come to the conclusion that we disagree.  It happens all the time.  It's human nature to be skeptical.  Before we accept something that differs from what we already know or suspect, we want some proof.  This burden of proof differs from person to person.  What convinces me may not convince you, and vice versa.

-    So we're all attuned to discerning for ourselves what makes sense and what doesn't, but most of us are much less capable of applying this same scrutiny to subject matter that is outside of our comfort zone.  So many of the things we are taught in school or read about in books, magazines and periodicals are accepted as gospel because the people doing the teaching are experts in a given field that the average person doesn't know very much about.

-    All of the sciences and medicine are perfect examples of this.  Once something is accepted by the mainstream scientific community, the rest of us usually just fall in line.  Perfectly understandable, they know and understand so much more about these things than we do.  Who are we to question if what they say is correct?  These are people who have spent many years of their lives studying, reading, experimenting and observing in their particular fields after all.

-    Think about something for a moment.  Throughout history, how many times have the experts gotten it wrong?  And I don't mean slightly off the mark, I mean completely wrong.  Just think of the view of the world and the universe that people who lived 500 years ago had compared to ours now.  Pretty dramatic isn't it?

-    Now imagine what the world view will be like 500 years from today.  Is there any doubt that it will be just as dramatic?  What we think we know today is likely to be just as flawed or even out-right-wrong, as what was once perceived in days past.

-    What?  You find this hard to believe?  I knew you would.  It's hard to imagine with all of the advances we have made over the last 100 years that we could be just as flawed in our understanding of the world as more primitive people of the past.  But regardless of how hard it might be to imagine, chances are its absolutely true.

-    The truth is that we don't really understand very much about our world at all.  There are so many examples of what I mean by this that it is difficult to know where to begin.  So much of what we have been taught is not definitely proven, instead its best guess.  In other words, if there is a problem or phenomena that we don't completely understand we take a guess at how or why what is happening is happening and then we try to discredit it.  If we are unable to, it becomes a working hypothesis until a better idea is 'discovered.'  It is constantly changing as we learn more and more.  The chances that what we believe now will hold out unchanged over the long run are extremely small since most of what we are starting out with are guesses to begin with.

-    Let's look at a couple of examples that help demonstrate what I'm talking about.  How many of you have ever taken an aspirin in your life?   Wow!  That many of you?  That's almost all of you.  Now, how many of you have taken aspirin specifically for fever?  Almost all of you, just like I thought.

-    Do you know how aspirin works in the body to lower fever?  No, none of you?  Well that's okay, because neither do the doctors or scientists.  The antipyretic effects of aspirin and aspirin like drugs are completely unknown.  Now if we don't understand this about aspirin which has been around for a really long time – how much do you think we truly understand about all these other drugs we have come up with?  It makes you wonder doesn't it?

CATEGORIES

In a day and age where segregation is supposed to be a thing of the past I find it fascinating how many of you are quick to jump and put each one of your so called friends into a category here on MySpace.  In an attempt to understand the rationale of it all I can't seem to find one that makes sense to me in any way.

The names of the categories are your choice and here for you to be able to pick and choose who you include in a certain group of friends, for example, Friends, Family, Cousins, Cousins that sleep with family, Gay, Straight, Married, White, Black, Yellow, Pink, Purple, Psychic, Psycho, New Agey, Old Agey, Senior Citizens, People with Fetish's, Gamers, Nowlivers, Blog Talk Radio people, Ustream people, Parents, Atheists, Religious Nuts, Christians, Jew's, Clergy, Buddhists, Light workers, Dark Workers, Parapsychologists, Metaphysicians, Paranormal Peeps, Mediums, Drag Queens, Musical People, Celebrities, Wanna be Celebrities, Bloggers, Dreamers, Medical personnel, Sports fans, College peeps, Mothers, Fathers, Lettuce Worshipers, Nuns, Priests, Priests that need religion, Aliens, Weirdo's, Political Geniuses, Political Idiots, Politicians and their followers, People who Suck, People who are cool, Online Friends, Real Life Friends, Rich People, Poor People, MLM'ers,  Network Marketers, Law of Attraction People…….

You get my drift I am sure here!!!!

What is the actual point of putting people that you are either friend's with in real life or friends with online into a category?  Do you really have so many that you don't know how to find them by looking up their names?  If that's your problem I suggest cutting off the "Add me as a Friend list" as it seems you already have a hard enough time with the ones you have.  Some of them are bands, acquaintances and some of them you just added because well why not, right?  Do you truly not have a life that you have the time to SEGREGATE you're so called friends into lists whose names you chose that  probably only amuse you.

Your buying into an ERA that has gone by that we fought so hard to not have people do and yet  we still do it to this day and now it has surfaced its weary head into the internet community.  Why, Why I ask really do we need to separate ourselves into such diverse and blatantly ridiculous categories in the first place.

I have a Jewish Mother and a Lebanese Father, I don't categorize my family, I introduce them as Mom and Dad or Joan and Danny.  It is because we as a society are so conditioned to having a category we fall into this TRAP as I see it and it continues to hold us back personally, spiritually and morally.  Look at Rosa Parks, a woman who stood up for her rights to be treated like everyone else, never mind her race, creed, color or gender.

I have a very Dear Friend here on MySpace whom I have not had the pleasure of meeting in person, but the relationship I have developed with them by phone and mail is just as REAL as if we lived next door to each other and had lunch a few times a week.  I am talking about a Celebrity in his own right who I have seen become categorized not only by people here on the internet but by the ..Hollywood.. community as well.

His name is Michael Airington and he is a Comedian and an Actor.  Michael has a repertoire of experience and has been in this business close to 30 years.  He has created characters that people have come to love and can imitate voices that bring you back in time.  He has portrayed not only comedic roles but also children's characters in various outlets albeit in voice only,  in costume as well as in cartoon form.  He is in all forums An Actor; he has his SAG card and performs on stage in various venues.  With all this said, I have watched the categories people have included Michael in, Drag Queens, Comedians, Old Jewish Women, Radio Hosts and in the Hollywood Community he is seen as a Drag Queen.

OH! Wait, I forgot to say Michael is gay and created the "International Glamour Puss of all Media, Ester Goldberg "  so does that make a difference in the fact that he can act and portray various roles he is given….. The answer is NO.  But unfortunately because Michael has created this character and honed his craft like any other actor /actress he is seen as a gay man portraying a woman as opposed to a comedian portraying a character.

Why isn't Robin Williams, or Dustin Hoffman classified as Drag Queens, They both performed these types of roles and why isn't John Travolta (the Scientology guy, another category) also seen as a Drag Queen from his portrayal in Hair Spray?  They are straight men for all intense and purposes, but what if they were secretly gay or bi-sexual, would that now categorize them in another form?  So why do that to Michael, why do that to OURSELVES in general?

Haven't we seen and heard horror stories of all categorized peoples?  It makes us all sick to our stomachs and it makes us think, why did they do that or treat that person like that!

It starts with us learning to categorize people instead of us learning to use people's names and addressing them in that form.  If we were taught to treat people as that and not categorize by any singular form how much better as a nation as a world can we be than we are now?  It would make a tremendous difference.  I know some of you are saying that my Ideals here are more of a Utopian Society and wouldn't it be nice but it will never happen.  Never is an uncertainty as is life and the future so why say never.  It has to start somewhere and by someone so why not You, Me, Us, why not here and now?

Stop allowing Fear to rule that energy, yes I said Fear because if you look at some of the categories, for instance, the Christians, The Muslims, the Arabs, The Blacks, The Jews, The Whites, The Gays, The Smokers, The Atheists, The Psychics / Mediums, Rich People, Poor People  all the names have a common denominator, fear.  There is someone out there that can look at some of these and reasonably say that they have a fear or dislike of a certain group / category of people.

" One Bad Apple don't Spoil the Whole Bunch"

I know on all applications for employment it asks for race, sex and marital status.  Is it really necessary to put your race on an application, really, does it matter?  Does it matter what my sex is for an application, does it matter what my religious background is for an application?  None of the above should ever apply; if a PERSON regardless of age, sex or race is competent and has the experience for the job being sought after does it really make a damn difference.  Shouldn't the applicants be judged on their skills and not any other factors?

This whole thing has burned my ass big time and I am really annoyed that instead of seeing people for who they are as  HUMAN BEINGS and accepting them for being just that, we as a society feel obligated to put PEOPLE into these groups / categories and we all just accept it as normal.  It's not normal and not necessary!!!!

For me personally I would never lump my "FRIENDS" into any other category but just that, because my friends, acquaintances, family are just that.  I know who they are, so why would I even allow myself to now segregate them by groups.  If you are a friend to someone, do you want to be introduced by your group name or your real name?

I believe there is a time and a place for groups, like AA, NA, Parents of Murdered Children, Weight Loss, Gender Support Groups, Teen Groups and the like, you get my drift here.  There's a reason these groups / categories exist, they exist to help people, not classify them to make it easier to find them amidst the crowd.

When ....Hollywood.... categorizes it is for awards and specifics within the industry, but with that said, I can recall seeing an Actor, Actress, Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress category, but I can't recall ever seeing a Gay Actors category, have any of you?  No and why is that, because sexual preference should never be a matter of issue in a profession of such a grouping of diversified individuals and personalities.

When you hear the actor's name for what role they Portrayed, I again cannot recall hearing, Dustin Hoffman, Straight actor for his portrayal of Tootsie.   The perceptions and the assumptions of ones sexuality need not be classified in the Hollywood Community.  Many comedians of yesterday portrayed famously hysterical women, such as Jonathan Winters, Milton Berle and  Flip Wilson and the only category they were lumped into was COMEDIAN.

If we all just stopped classifying people and treated each other with mutual respect I really think that a positive change can be obtained.  There are so many of us on this Path in life to help heal and enlighten the world, part of that is to also teach about Love.  If we could all truly Love each other and show respect for one another I know in my heart it would make a difference.

My mom said something to me as a little girl that really pissed me off, until I had kids of my own and could truly understand what she meant.  My mom said, "I Always Love You, but, I Don't Always Like You".  As harsh as it sounded to me as a kid, I understood it as an adult and I have utilized this not just with my kids in times of anger, but with other people when their behavior has been questionable or they have said things that were hurtful in some way.  You can Totally LOVE someone, anyone, even a stranger, but you DON'T have to always like what they do or their behavior.

I appreciate all of you that have taken the time to read this and if it has given you some food for thought then I have done what I set out to do.  I wanted to get this off my chest and I wanted you all to realize no matter what Category you put me in or how you perceive me in an area of friendship or acquaintance I still Love You and I am your Friend, and my Name is Allie.

I just saw this video and it moved me beyond words.. I needed to add it here.

BEAUTIFUL DREAM TO ME ( WHAT MOMS MEAN )

Beautiful Dream to Me

Moms are Special Creatures you see
They come from heaven with hope for thee
Moms unconditonal love is free
Moms a beautiful dream to me
She holds all the secrets, the kisses, the hugs
Moms give to their children the wonders of Love
God is great for he knew, he created this angel just for you

Wings of Love to hold thee near, embraced by love my mom so dear
She watches you grow as time goes by
Knowing that she's slowly dying inside
For one day she'll have to let go
Release her wings and watch you go

When she grows old knowing her time is near
She embraces the love you show so dear
Moms not afraid she can't wait to see
From heaven above the angel you'll be

Watching you from her heavenly cloud, sitting above so radiantly proud
You spread your wings and continue to love
Teaching your children the wonders of love.

This is my First EVER poem I have written, I hope you like it, its not professional and it's probably not written in the correct format, but it came from my heart to share just what a mothers love and care mean to me.   I hope you find a smile on your face after you read this and know wether or not your mom is here, a mothers love is always near.

God Bless you and God bless all our moms...

Art of Following Intuition

Art of Following Intuition
By Shakti Gawain

Listening to, trusting, and acting on your intuitive inner guidance is an art. Like any other art or discipline, it requires a certain commitment. It is an ongoing process in which we are always being challenged to move to a deeper level of self-trust.

For most of us, the practice of allowing our intuition to guide us is really a new way of life, very different from what we have been taught in the past. At times it may feel uncomfortable or even a bit frightening. If we have been conditioned to try to approach life entirely rationally, to follow certain rules (or to automatically rebel against them), or to do what we think other people want us to do, then beginning to follow our own inner sense of truth is a major shift. It's natural for it to take some time and it may be a little difficult and confusing at certain moments. It's important to be very compassionate with ourselves in this process.

At times we may be very aware of the conflicting voices inside of us. One part of us may be excited about making changes while another part of us is terrified about it. If we can acknowledge and honor all our different inner voices and their feelings, our intuition will show us an appropriate step to take -- one that moves us in the right direction without being too frightening for our vulnerable selves or too radical for our conservative parts.

Opening New Doors
The more we practice following our intuition, the more faith we get, because we see that it really does work.
Not only is nothing disastrous happening (as in our worst fears), but our lives are actually getting better and better. Remember to start with small steps until you build a sense of confidence in yourself and can gradually tackle bigger issues.

Your intuition will most likely push you gently toward taking some appropriate risks and trying new things. For example, you might have a fantasy of doing something creative that you haven't done before, such as taking art, dancing, or music lessons. An inner critic voice might try to stop you from risking failure or embarrassment by whispering in your ear, "Don't be silly, you're not creative!" or "You're much too old to start something totally new." You can acknowledge your inner critic and thank it for its attempt to protect you from humiliation. Then you can go ahead and give it a try anyway.

Your intuition may be trying to show you that you have a new direction in which you need to move or that there is something within you that is trying to come through. If you give yourself permission to try it, you don't have to be great at it; just do it for fun. Follow your intuitive impulse and see what happens. It may open a new door for you.

It may give you a chance to play and discover a new part of your personality that you haven't learned to express before.

Suppose you have always wanted to start your own business. Allow yourself to fantasize about it. Start thinking about what steps you could take in that direction. Ask your intuition to show you what to do. Try following any impulse you might have to explore this possibility. It may be that nothing will happen, or that you take a few steps and then feel blocked. This may be an indication that this is not the best course of action for you at this time. Or it may mean that you need to be open to it happening in a totally different and unexpected way. Stay open and see what happens. I know many people who have become very successful this way.

As you learn to live from your intuition you may find that the process of making decisions changes.
Rather than just trying to figure things out in your head, you follow your intuitive feeling for a while and let things unfold. In the process, the right decisions usually get made.

For example, if you are unhappy in your job, don't immediately make a decision to go in and quit, unless you truly have a strong gut feeling that that is the best course of action.
Instead, explore and acknowledge your feelings, such as, "I'm really unhappy here, I'd like to work with people more," or whatever. Then turn it over to your intuition and allow it to show you step by step what you need to do. You will probably find that something will emerge.

You may find that your current job changes and improves, or you may get an inspiration about a different career and begin to explore that possibility. You may follow an impulse to interview for another job and find that it is right for you. Or you may get very clear that you need to resign, and it will feel appropriate to do so. The right action will emerge from the process.

If you have a problem to solve, or a desire to fulfill, try turning it over to your intuition. For example, if you feel like your social life is boring or unrewarding and you'd like to make new friends, consciously ask your intuition to guide you in this process. You might find that a week or two later you read about a hobby group and you intuitively feel drawn to attend. You may end up joining a camera club or a hiking club and find a new circle of friends with a common interest.

Some people fear that trusting their intuition will lead them to do things that are purely selfish, irresponsible, or hurtful to others. In reality, the opposite is true. Since intuition is connected to our souls and to the universal intelligence, it is always guiding us to our own highest good and the greater good for all concerned.

When we follow our intuition, we sometimes behave in new and different ways, and others may sometimes be temporarily disappointed or upset. For example, if you are a very giving person who has always tried to please and care for others, your intuition may push you to learn to say "no" when you really don't want to do something, and to set better boundaries with people. At first, this might upset someone. In the long run, however, you and everyone else you relate to will be healthier and happier because of this change.

It's actually quite amazing to watch how the intuitive process sorts things out so that everyone ends up exactly where they need to be, doing exactly what makes them happiest.

A Guiding Force
In the process of learning to trust intuition, some people go through a period of time where they feel like their life is falling apart. Relationships may end or change dramatically, you may move, change jobs, lose interest in familiar pastimes. These are indications that you are letting go of certain aspects of your old identity. If you tried to hold on to it, you would limit or imprison yourself. The forms in your life have to change because you are changing. It's a matter of trusting that even when things are not going exactly the way you expected, there is a deeper perfection in the process. New forms of relationship, creativity, work, and home will come into being and they will reflect your growth and development.*

*For more understanding about how following your intuition can change your life, I suggest reading my book Living in the Light.
It's important to have emotional support while you are going through these kinds of changes. Find a friend or group of friends that you can talk to about your hopes, dreams, and fears, someone who can support and encourage you as well as give you honest feedback.

Sometimes family or old friends feel too threatened by the changes you are going through and are unable to give real support. You may need to seek out people who are interested in personal growth. One of the best ways to do this is to go to a workshop or join a support group (or create your own).

Learning to follow your intuition can sometimes feel a bit like "living on the edge". In a sense, it's learning to live without the false sense of security that comes from trying to control everything that happens to us. It's recognizing that as we follow our inner guidance, wonderful things are going to unfold for us, things that we may not yet even imagine.

Gradually we become less afraid and more comfortable with uncertainty. We can learn to enjoy not knowing! It's actually a very exciting, alive feeling. We can learn to move into the unknown with the confidence that we have a guiding force within us that is showing us the way.

Following your own energy meditation
Sit or lie down in a comfortable position. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath and relax your body. Take another deep breath and relax your mind. Continue to breathe slowly and deeply and let go of all tension or anxiety. As you relax, you find yourself in a deep, quiet place inside. Allow yourself to just rest in that place for a few moments, with nothing you need to do or think about.

From this deep, quiet place, begin to sense the life force within you. Imagine that you are following your own energy, feeling it, trusting it, moving with it in every moment of your life. You are being completely true to yourself, speaking and living your truth. You feel alive and empowered. Imagine that you are expressing your creativity fully and freely, and let yourself enjoy the experience.

Do this meditation as often as you like. I send you my blessings on your journey.

YOU ARE SAFE: ARCHANGEL MICHAEL
Current mood: soaking it in

You Are Safe: A Message from Archangel Michael through Doreen Virtue

"You are safe and protected in all ways, so let down and let go of your veils of fear. Fear only protects you from experiencing the essence of love. Fear and worry do not protect you or your future.

"I am seeing an increasing number of lightworkers who are highly sensitive, as absorbing the lower energies and rays of the people whom they're helping. When you absorb the fear energy of others' thoughts and emotions, you may notice your energy sagging and your health feeling compromised.

"Some lightworkers are depressed, and this depression is one-hundred percent attributable to the absorption of other people's energy. And yet lightworkers attribute their depression to other factors, and so miss the solution which is so easily accessible: Ask me to participate in ANY healing, teaching, helping, or counseling session in which you engage. Whether or not you are paid is irrelevant. Any time you are engaged in giving, call upon me immediately. I will act as an intermediary in the energy exchange between you and whomever you're helping. I will purify all words, actions, and emotions as they're given and received between you. That way, you're both assured of receiving only the pure essence of love, as it's intended.

"I hold great admiration for the process of spiritual unfoldment and understanding in which you are engaged. You are being called to operate at increasingly higher levels of duty and you often engage in these teachings during your dream time and with soul travel. I admire the human courage it takes to be of service during these times. YOU and your services are definitely needed and I am here to make the process as smooth as I possibly can. Call upon me often, and be open to my help and love always. I am Michael."

"Whenever we have relationships involving fear of any kind, we form an unhealthy attachment to one another. This attachment is like a leash that says, 'Don't change!', 'Don't leave me!', or 'Don't hurt me!'. These attachments are both palpable and visible when you notice them. I call them 'etheric cords', because they look like surgical tubing attached from one person to another. (In some cases, the cords go from a person to a material object that they're afraid of losing.) Etheric cords are hardened forms of dysfunction, which you can notice with your psychic senses...

Archangel Michael

No matter the situation, no matter the challenge, Michael stands ready with his sword and host of Angels to protect and serve all who call upon him for assistance. He clears the path of obstacles, he gives us strength and courage to carry on during the dark times in our lives. He fills us with hope, inspiration, and faith that the Universe is always on our side. Michael protects against negative or psychic attack and astral debris that can cling to our energy fields.

Archangel Michael is often pictured with a sword and shield to represent his ability to bring protection as well as to cut away that which is no longer needed in our lives. Even though Michael is an Angel, His energy may still be called upon during shamanic cord cutting rituals in order to insure the cords are permanently severed and rapid healing of the cuts takes place. Michael is also associated with fire, it is a purifying fire that burns away the dross and insures that alchemical reactions within the psyche produce the "gold" that one is seeking, in this case evolution and spiritual enlightenment. And yet Michael is more than just an Archangel for enlightenment, he is an Angel for awareness of all levels of life, including the mundane and the physical. There is no concern or problem that Michael cannot and will not address when he is called upon to do so. This makes Michael what I call "all purpose" archangel as he appears when needed to be of support, assistance and protection in any situation unlike the other Archangels such as Auriel who is primarily associated with wisdom or Raphael who is associated with healing although their energies can be combined and called upon along with Michael's as needed. Michael assists us in transforming our self- limitations, he brings faith and courage as well as the understanding that one is never alone and that all Guardian Angels are emissaries of Michael's sent to watch over and guide us. Some say that Michael was the first Archangel that Spirit created and his name symbolizes his position as the right hand of God or Spirit. It is Michael that moves through us when we seek to right a wrong, protect those who come to us for assistance and support and to help bring greater awareness and light into the world. If you look at a sword and shield, the light bounces from it, illuminating everything in it's path. So it is the same with Michael's energy, it is not only the power to cut through limitation and falsehood but also the light that allows us to discern the truth from the fabrication.

Archangel Michael stands first and foremost for protection and assistance in times of stress and need. It is the cutting awareness that all one needs to do is ask for help from the higher powers and that support is surely on it's way. For those who believe they are unworthy or the Divine would find their problems and fears too trivial or not spiritual enough to be worthy of consideration, This Angel has appeared to remind you that ALL are worthy of support and love from the Universe! Nothing is too small or trivial for the Divine to direct the full attention and flow of the Universe towards it's resolution and that all are more than worthy of living a joyful, happy and abundant life. For those who believe it is their karmic duty to pay off some sort of debt for an something they may have done several lifetimes ago, Archangel Michael comes through to show the individual that ALL things serve a higher purpose. To judge one event or lifetime as sinful or wrong is the product of a belief system that seeks to control others so that a few may prosper and have power while others are enslaved to support these few. This essence then acts as a purifying fire to assist the individual in seeking the truth for themselves, what resonates within their own heart as truth for them and not simply buying into the dogma of another. If it serves a person's evolution to continue to believe in the dogma and "sins" of this and prior lifetimes, then they shall of course continue to do so for this Michael will never take away one's free will. However if an individual is ready to move beyond the old concepts and beliefs, this Archangel will surely support in the cutting of the old ties that bind.

If this angel has appeared for you today, it may be an indication that some sort of cleansing and protection is needed at this time. Or perhaps you need to gather your inner courage and strength to pursue a new goal or dream that has been beckoning you. Michael brings empowerment to help you be all that you can be in this life if you are willing to take the next step that you know inside you need to take.
At times, Michael appears when we need a bit of a nudge, a prod from his sword if you will, to get us unstuck and the energy flowing in our lives again. Or perhaps you have been buying into someone else's belief systems that are not helpful or healing for you. Archangel Michael says it is now time to develop your own beliefs that are centered around joy, worthiness and expectations of the best that life has to offer! Archangel Michael's primary message to you today is to believe in yourself and believe that the Universe is seeking right now to lead you out of the darkness and into the light. All you need do is call upon Michael's energy with your heart and you will find he has been standing next to you, supporting and shielding you all this time.

What to watch for with this Angel's presence:

People that can serve as protectors or guardians for you in some way, these may include family members, friends, colleagues or even folks you have yet to meet. When someone offers you support or assistance in some way, saying YES! and accepting with Gratitude opens the door for even more to come to you!

New opportunities to expand your resources in some way. This Angel is as concerned with protecting your Life's work, business, career, money, and so forth as any other area of your life. Be open to new opportunities that can help you expand what you are already doing or help you to find a career that is much more aligned with the needs of your Soul.

Needing to mentor or protect others who are coming to you for support and guidance. This may also include a project or goal that is dear to your heart that you need to focus on especially strongly right now. Or if you are someone who is already giving and giving and giving to many others, it may be time to focus more on doing and giving to yourself. Remember, the more you take care of you, the more you will have to give to others!

If you are facing a situation that seems impossible to resolve and is causing you a lot of stress and pain, call upon Michael to help you resolve the issues and then stand by to honour what your inner guidance tells you to do! Light a candle dedicating it to Michael and meditate in front of it or simply allow it to burn for as long as you feel it appropriate. (be sure to follow all standard safety precautions when burning candles!) You may also choose to write a letter to this angel, placing it underneath the candle holder or lying in front of the holder. There are also 14 day candles that can be found at many supermarkets or catholic supply shops that have a representation of Michael on the front and a prayer on the back. Shops such as Walgreen's and Sav-on also often carry these candles.

Other ways to work with the energy of Archangel Michael is to sort through all those things in your life, be they job related, personal, people, things in your home that you no longer resonate with, belief systems, even old projects or goals that no longer fit who you are and give them all permission to go! You can do this on a physical level by clearing clutter and old papers from your home/office and by consciously admitting that a goal you once had needs to be released and you are now letting it go. Thank all these things for once having served you, Bless them, and then ask Michael to carry them away.

CRITICISM - THE PURITY IN IT
Current mood: grateful
Category: grateful Life

Criticism

Let us focus on self-criticism, that endless chattering voice that tells you about all the mistakes you have made in the past and makes you afraid to venture out and try new things. Yes, you make mistakes. Yes, you have so-called faults. Yes, you stop short of the perfection which you seek through endless corrections of all that you do.

Stop this. Recognize that your faults are exactly what make you the wonderful person that you are. Recognize that your perfection consists of all these faults and imperfections. You are perfect in your imperfection. You are exactly right, exactly as you should be, right now. When the criticism starts, just stop it dead in its tracks and say: "I love and approve of myself. I accept and love myself exactly as I am." Let this be your mantra for the week to counter any criticism of yourself.

After all, these are just old voices, the voices of your parents and siblings, the voices of your fear and doubt. End their rule in your mind. End it through vigilant policing of your mind and replacement of the critical thoughts with loving thoughts. You can do it.

And now, let us turn our focus to the criticism of others. I wish for you to realize that criticizing others hurts you even more than it hurts them. It is as if each arrow you shoot is really a boomerang which circles around and hits you in the head. You harm yourself deeply with each criticism you aim at another.

And so, be consciously aware of critical thoughts of others. Since you are also stopping the criticism of yourself, this should make it a bit easier, since you will not be measuring yourself against others, but instead accepting yourself in all of your wonder and glory exactly as you are.

And now, you will extend this favor to others. The antidote to anger, criticism and judgment is very clear: tolerance, acceptance, patience and forgiveness. And so, when you feel the critical emotions and thoughts building within you, first, become consciously aware and secondly, take a deep breath and replace the noisy critical thought or emotion with one of loving tolerance and acceptance.

PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL HEALTH
Current mood: GETTING HEALTHY
Category: GETTING HEALTHY Life

Today, focus on health. What does it mean to be healthy in body, mind and spirit?

Physical health is not a state of weighing a particular weight or following a particular regimen. Physical health is about balance; about being in touch with your body. On some days, that may mean resting and on others it may mean vigorous exercise. On some days, it may mean fueling your body with healthy, whole food and on other days, it could mean cleansing your body, fasting and drinking pure water.

Today, as you think about health, see if you have lost touch with your body's signals. If so, it may take some time to attune yourself to what your body is really saying, learning to sense the signals of real hunger, of real desire for rest or exercise. Pay attention. Experiment with setting aside old patterns and listening and feeling, sensing what it is your body truly desires right now.

As for mental health, this is quite simple: peace. Your mental and emotional state should be one of deeply centered peace, a state in which you are centered within yourself, not buffeted around by outside events. The mentally healthy person knows that life goes through seasons, knows to run free in the spring, to relax into the long drowsy perfumed days of summer, to work hard harvesting in the fall, and to find shelter in the winter when the storms come. And the mentally healthy person also knows that spring always comes again. It will be a new spring, a different spring, when you emerge from your winter cave, but it will be spring nonetheless. There is a peace in accepting the seasons of life, the cycles of relationships, of all enterprises you undertake, letting go of this and moving toward that, always accepting that nothing stays the same and life is change, accepting this with love, accepting this with peace.

And spiritual health is an opening of yourself to higher self and knowing yourself as love. There is nothing more to be known. All the rest is talk.

Here is an inspiration for today

Today I am centered in health. I listen to my body and give it what it wants. My body and I are one. I feel, I know what my body needs and provide it gladly.

I am deeply calm and at peace. I accept life with gratitude and love and feel one and connected with the cycles of life.

I open to my higher self and feel the warm glow of love which I am.

I am love. I am love completely. I am.

GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION
Current mood: Blessed in Love
Category: Blessed in Love Religion and Philosophy

I APPRECIATE YOU ALL!!!

Maybe we are meant to meet the wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.

Maybe when the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.

Maybe the best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

Maybe it is true that we don't know what we have got until we lose it, but it is also true that we don't know what we have been missing until it arrives.

Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they will love you back. Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart; but if it does not, be content it grew in yours. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile. There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real.

Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.
