Where have all the "flips" Gone?

Once in awhile I wake up in the middle of the night and "flip" through the channels.  There are a lot of things that "flip" like the hairstyle.

 

One of my favorite things to slide on and wear around the house are flip flops and yes, mine do make the actual "flip" noise.

 

 

I think we are all familiar with the all around favorite and gesture that has no language barriers, the "flip" off.

 

 

 

What is missing currently is our house "flippers", gee I wonder where they went? 

Everynight, over and over again , buying homes and reselling them, people that had never been successful in their entire lives were reporting making hundreds of thousands of dollars and also Donald Trump even got involved in these touting the "buy now" mentality (currently I know someone buying one of his apartments at Trump in Las Vegas, banks won't touch them without 40% down, how is that for value investments?)

I don't miss them at all and perhaps they finally "flipped" out when their little project got taken back when they couldn't flip it before the next mortgage payment.  So sad.

How to reduce your medical bills 101

I have a girlfriend that does a lot of business with doctors, before you hiss and boo, I actually have some good information compliments of them and a few martini's that made their mouths run.

There is a little known loop hole that can help you reduce your hospital/medical bill should you get slammed with a big one.  The providers have different contracts with different companies they have negotiated with and none of them pay the same, medicare usually having the lowest reimbursement rate.

When you get your bill for services, simply ask them to change it to the same fee's they charge medicare because they are overcharging you.  They will refuse.  Then you take one charge on the bill that is under the allowance for small court (somewhere around 3,000 dollars in most places), not the entire bill because you only need this one factor to make their house of cards fall. 

As soon as they either think that you are serious, or receive notice of the hearing they will rush to settle with you for the lower fee's because the last thing they want to do is go on public record for the exact medicare reimbursements because then their house of gouging will fall down.

It happens to these doctors all the time and it pisses them off, oh darn!

My Plan for the "Banking Crisis" SCREW THE BANKS

Okay, let me get this straight.  You want the taxpayers to bail out the banks so that the taxpayers have access to their money that they trusted the banks with .....and the Federal Government Insured that then failed to regulate what they insured?

I say cut out the middle man.  Give the money back to the depositors and we will start our own bank and those banks that are in risk of failure can fill out one of our loan applications and we will decide who gets the loans or not.

Even our judicial system takes away your right to drive or your right to parent if you demonstrate that you cannot control it with reasonable safety.

People deposited in those banks and were their partners, giving them assets to loan in which they were suppose to make their profit off the spread of the interest of what they paid the depositor and what they received from the borrower.  They are suppose to know who they are lending too.  That's their job.  They have not demonstrated that they have any other business practices that will change the way they do business, why should we trust them again? 

Its our money, why are we going to give it to them to beg for our money back?  The money is FDIC insured so the Government is bound to deliver some of it back to the depositors anyways. Why are we going to GAMBLE that these clowns will be able to use these funds to get our funds back?  WE risk having to pay it twice, or getting nothing back.

Screw the banks, cut out the middle man, just give us (depositors) back our money!

Is College just for conforming to a defined norm?

   As most of you know I attend college classes.  I was a single pregnant person during my first semester 25 years ago and had to quit, so I return to keep the promise I made to myself.  My experience now has led me to think that "yes" there is some interesting information but "no" this does not prepare you for real work in the work place because I feel like I should have a few yellow and green feathers floating out of my head, what they really want me to be is not a student, but a parrot. Repeat back EXACTLY  what they say and don't think, like some trance that this professor is the end all in information regardless of the fact that he uses a text book and the text book tests, so if he knows so much, why doesn't he develop his own class?

Maybe he doesn't?

Maybe, well maybe it is "isby" because he "is" not in complete control of this subject matter if everything has to come out a book from some other Ph.d, he has the same letters after his name, why can't he rattle all this stuff off the top of his head.  Bottomline, if you want the grade. Conform. Admit that he knows it all regardless that he is reading someone else's work which more times than not is wrong, but still "its what the book says" so it becomes the right answer on his test that someone else wrote wrong.

My complaint of the week, and every week there is one, is that there is a study that shows that pregnant mothers in Europe during World War ll that has severe nutrition deprivation later were studies and it was found that their children into their 20's and 30's showed no signs that nutritional deprivation of the pregnant mother caused long term health or educational consequences. Then later in the same chapter cites the world nutrition programs that are in place to save all the babies from severe malnutrition because now lack of proper nutrition is the number cause of human development, without a study cited in the book.

So, I ask is there certain deprivation because study wise it is not all deprivation that causes harm to a fetus. He tells me that the books says it is the cause, so it is the cause.  So, I guess if you were a student and did not know any better you would just FOLLOW what he says and disregard all the information that you would THINK with to calculate the end result but not to survive in this academic world, to do that you CONFORM and put the answer from the book that is wrong and do not dare to think for yourself.

Hoops to jump through, it is really hard to take it seriously when they have agreed to CONFORM to this ridiculous standard of FOLLOWING and not THINKING.

I am thinking that this sort of education is very dangerous for people because they look at people and take what they say as concrete and do not look at the facts and weigh them for themselves.

Example:  Current situation where housing prices were growing faster than the rate of income.  Didn't anybody do the math or have they just conformed to the experts( so called) and are unable to do the math. 

College is dangerous to your intelligence. Educate yourself with caution.

I should be running this country..........my rant you were warned

I remember one day I put my fallen tooth under my pillow.  My friend had received five dollars for her tooth, I asked for the same.  I was surprised to find the next morning that my tooth was still there minus any potential cash I had hoped and dreamed for.  I guess you can't just dream for some things or maybe you can but its a crapshoot, dream about 100 things and maybe you get lucky and pull one out of the dream lottery.

Dare to dream.  Even if you don't get the five bucks.

I have a few dreams. First I would like to have all medical insurance companies declared illegal.  Initially, it was thought the doctors were making all the money and someone needed to control their rates, not the markets like a free market like we are suppose to have, but a regulated insurance market.  These companies are now netting out more than the Physicians.  The little rhyme goes like this two for me, one for you, two for me, one for you, three for me, one for you........

They should be illegal because physicians have a oath to perserve life and the insurance companies have an oath to preserve their shareholders wealth, how is the world can these people be regulating an industry that is bound to preserve life not profits?  Its like having them regulate religions and make sure the pastor is getting just what he deserves.  The sick part is that medicine does not belong to anyone, years of sweat and dedication belongs to the many workers and researchers, not bean counters with an insurance license that are really just pimps.

My next thing is to put home economics and wood shop back into the high schools so kids learn basic life skills of how to care for themselves. No wonder all the kids are obese and eating fast food, no one knows how to cook anymore.  I do not know one kid that knows how to sew a button or hem pants for themselves.

I think we should elect a few welfare mothers to office, if they can run a household on 800 a month I say give them the national check book and let them run the country.

Getting Pregnant on Purpose

If  you have ever driven in a car during a long trip with  kids in the backseat eventually the fighting starts. "She started it" as the other cries "stop looking at me, mom she is looking at me."  So, you ask the other one to stop looking and the next screaming you hear is "she pointed at me!"  They point fingers back and forth and finally you have to tell them to sit as close to the opposite doors as they can, hands folded and look out the window with mouths closed.

I recently was reading a blog when someone leaves this message about how some women get pregnant on purpose to trap the man.

I equate this to any living person that is stupid enough to show up to a judge after being cited for accident involving alcohol. Did the alcohol trap you?

Nobody traps anybody, but you can get caught up in a web of lies. Life is sexually transmitted. All birth control has a failure rate, even in rare cases of sterilization. Where is the surprise when that happens?  Maybe we assume that everyone is a mind reader?  I think if someone gets a disease from a person and that person did not disclose it, than we have someone that should be hung from the highest tree.  How dare anyone ruin someone's health over their own greedy sexual urges, however we can assume that most men and women that are  walking around have functioning eggs and sperm that it is their biological duty to find each other. You have agreed to a possible pregnancy when you combine body parts, end of story. You knew you were mixing gasoline with matches from the start, no one did this to you.

It is the same childish phrase about who started it when it really doesn't matter when you both technically agreed to a possible pregnancy when you combine body parts, no matter what the verbal story was, biology does not have ears. Maybe blame the sperm, afterall they always did like her best?

What is even worse is the child that was born out of the lethal "trap of the vagina" gets to live with two parents that really did not want to be in the business of parenting. I understand that people feel like they "need" this and this is nature, but let me remind you that "anger" is also a natural feeling but you can't go bashing peoples heads in because "nature calls."  We have brains and two hands (animals have paws) and really any urge you have can be taken care of without reckless disregard for biology. Even when driving a car, you maybe traveling in one that swerves a little to the left, but you should know how to operate the vehicle to protect yourself and others.

Two things that really irk me is that women jump on other women for this and that both sexes do not take responsibility for irresponsible use of their body parts. I know some of you will tell me that you can't stop people from having irresponsible sex  which is probably addictive from what I have seen in peoples behavior. Is it any different from a drug? 

Meanwhile back at home I think we need to stop pointing fingers and no matter what these two active set of genitals need to be parents because they only have this kid for 18 years and if they do a crappy job, we get them for the next 60 in jail.

Being "Politically Correct" is censorship!

   I am walking down the Las Vegas Strip on my sons' birthday.  Elbow to elbow they stand, the smut peddlers.  In their hands are girls naked in the pap smear position inviting you to call them to your room for 69.00 minimum. They are "entertainers" and they can pass anything they want out on the street, because it is protected under the first amendment free speech, to not allow this would be CENSORSHIP.

  They pass them to my son and his friends, to which I hand them back telling the smut peddlers that they are minors.  I don't even think they understood me because they don't speak any English; however the smut in their hands really did not need much explanation.

I get to hear songs on the radio "you're my bitch" or the ever popular "she is my whore" and other degrading terms which equate women to animals and subjects of service. I am offended.

I would like to know why some words (remember sticks and stones will break your bones, but names will never hurt you) are POLITICALLY CORRECT yet others infringe on someone's right to say them and so they are allowed?  I can't help is if a Mexican is from Mexico.  Nor does anyone call anyone racists for saying that all Americans care about is starting war (that's racists, not all Americans), however I don't see anyone calling that not POLITICALLY CORRECT.

People have had people pulled off the air for offending with comments when "Girls Gone Wild" which has been proven to have filmed children under the influence of alcohol and distributed it across state lines is being sold on comedy central for 19.99 a month, but no one is offended?

POLITICAL CORRECTNESS is nothing more than an infringement on free speech and it is CENSORSHIP at its very core.  Why do you bruises mean more than mine?

Its a doggie dog world, complete with a foster home

I have become a foster parent to five dogs.  I already have two and am looking for a special one for me,  My dream dog is a mutt shepherd blend like one I had years ago, so far she has not appeared.  In the interim the shelters are killing after three days.  With people losing their homes and the economy, pets are being abandoned and someone needs to care for them till new homes are found.  I am lucky that I live on a bigger quarter acre lot.  The dogs have 30 years of shrubbery and pine trees to shade them and a lovely deck to sun on.  I am now thinking of putting in a Koi pond because my red eared slider turtles are getting so big I think they need to be outside now.

My dogs are females and one is not fixed, so the dogs that I am able to take in have to be fixed or be female.  I was lucky to get all females that are fixed anyways, but the dogs all get along and hang out together.  I have a garage door from the exterior door into the garage which one car bay is filled with pillows and their feeding trays are.  In the afternoon I plug in a large fan.  A second doggie door allows them into the back yard where they play and sun.  I have a few big pillows for them out there, they love big floor pillows.

So, far I have adopted out one dog to a lovely family. Because I have assumed the responsibility for these babies, I know have to review the new owners and check for gates and other animals that could harm them. I was lucky, the people were very nice.  I got a pain in my chest when I gave it to them because they made a comment after I told them the real costs of owning an animal, they need to be advised that it will be about 300 a month in food for the dogs and over the dog's lifetime, expect 5000. In medical bills  for their pet.

I have another appointment next week to view another future home. The dogs are happy because they know I love them and no matter what I will make sure they go to good homes, not just anyone that wants them.

Everyone wants to be connected to the "winner"

So we have an American that wins 8 gold medals.  This fact is not the issue that I blog for today.  I blog for the ridiculous reason that because he won these medals analysts are now saying that his worth throughout his career starts now at 100 million dollars, currently and before he entered the competition he was making only 5 million a year.

Why?  Endorsements.

You have to be kidding me?  He endorses Visa, Mastercard, Speedo and somehow it is a better product?  You can associate yourself with greatness and do just like "the stars" do.  Why I am on this subject let me explain that actors are professional pretenders, they pretend to be another person.  Somehow when people spend a few hours watching a movie or hours watching them in your house it is assumed they have been an actual houseguest and would never lie to you..........you have a delusion of relationship and so now a friend is hooking you up with a product.........your friend would never lie. I laugh at the "Best Actor" awards, because really the best liar is winning.  How can they distort the truth into a story and pretend?  It is an illusion.

Who needs consumer reports when if Paris Hilton endorses it, then quality it must be.

Are we just a bunch of mindless "Monkey see, Monkey do?"
