WE’RE BACK IN THE STUDIO - FUCKYEAH

The good ol CK5 head into SRG Studios, here in Trenton, next Sunday July 6th to start recording our next full length album... We're pretty excited... This will be the first CK5 album recorded as a 5 peice band since we recorded "And Their God-Damn Rock & Roll"... First album recorded without Scotty, Jack and Nick... First album recorded with J. West on bass....

So keep an eye out, cause we'll be posting blogs as we record...

We also head into S.S. Sound Studios, Wednesday July 10th to start recording an acoustic album... Stripped down CK5, a lot like what you'd hear if you saw our acoustic trio "Tres Encargados de la Cripta"... Something we've been wanting to do for a long time...

So by the years end, The Cryptkeeper Five will have a lot of new tunes for ya to hear... A full length electric album, an acoustic ep, and the split with our good pals Blitzkid, Split Personalities... It's gonna be a good year...

JAPAN, Here We Come - Benefit FRIDAY MAY 23rd

we make an effort, now a days, not to let people know our buisness, unless it's 100% possitive... and rightfully so... we've gone through a lot of ups and downs the past 10 years; 19 line-up changes(and all the drama that comes with that), a bum record deal and a hundred great promised things that never happened...  

after a while you find yourself not telling anyone anything on your possible horizon in fear that it might not happen... it's pretty crazy... sometimes it flat out sucks...

well, the cryptkeeper five have signed a contract (not a record contract) that puts us in japan the end of the summer... so we're throwing a fundraiser this friday to help us out in our travels... and since we can't throw a benefit with out disclosing what the benefit is for, we'll spill the beans on this one promised thing...

so if you're in the area, come on out...

HEY BITCHES

no blog entries in a while, band must've broken up, huh? no no... we just don't post blogs very often, we really need something to blog-worthy to post one... okay, good shit...

so we're almost done with our half of the ck5/blitzkid split lp... we've recorded the songs, they're being mixed right now... here's a list of the songs we recorded... "The Making of a Roadside Attraction", "Where in the World is Zero?", "Below E: The Death of Hope III", and 2 blitzkid songs "Starlight Decay" and "Love Like Blood"...

we'll also be recording a double band group effort of the classic misfits song "Theme for a Jackal"... crypto-blitz-keeper-kid-five gee gee gee (pronounced like sheriff rosko p. coltrane would) at their best, doing one of my favorite misfit tunes of all time... kickass...

in addition to this we've been demo-ing out our next album... we have about 16 new tunes, so we're pretty close to being ready to hit the studio... we're pretty psyched...

well i better get to work... seeya all soon...
