engaged?!?! say what?!?!

So I hadn't posted a blog in a while so I thought I'd give everyone an update.

First, Shawn and I are engaged!! It happened a little over a month ago and I'm still giddy. He got me a beautiful ring! And I just feel like the luckiest girl in the world! We have no date set yet and I'm sure we won't for at least a year, we're just really excited to be engaged! Anyway, I guess I just wanted to make my official announcement.

And we're moving tomorrow. We found a really great place up in Euless. It has a garage and a den. I'm not sure what we'll do with that amount of space after living in such a small apt. And another awesome thing is that we will have the Klein's as neighbors! How fun! I'm sure the four of us will watch a lot of movies and play some poker.

And going back to the engagement, my mom will be visiting in a few weekends to A) see my ring, B) meet my dog, Molly, C) meet Shawn's parents, D) see Shawn's show, and E) see our new place. It's very exciting, I've never done the parents meet the parents thing. Plus, she's never seen Shawn act so that'll be cool.

I guess the only other thing to mention would be my job. I work at Geico now, and I'm not sure if I like it or not. The pay is really good and the benefits are great. Everyone is real nice too, and I think the management likes me. I'm not sure what my problem with it is really, maybe I just don't like working.

And now a question....What movie could you watch anytime, all the time?

Mine is Goodfellas. I love that movie, I really could watch it all the time. Another one would be Blow. I don't know why but that one is endlessly entertaining for me.

So, Shawn and I got a dog. Her name is Molly and she's about 2 and a half years old. We adopted her from one of Shawn's co-workers. She's really sweet and very well behaved. All she really does is cuddle. Well, just wanted to introduce everyone. Have a lovely day.

So, I just started looking for a job. I posted my resume on monster just yesterday and I already got a call today with my first interview on Thursday. Who knows if it'll pan out but it was really nice to get something so quick, keeps the spirits up, ya know? The job is just what I was hoping for. It's entry level, they'd have me as an assistant project manager for a few months and then I'd become the project manager. Might be neat. We'll see...

I hope Shawn's ok with spaghetti and meat sauce tonight because I'm thinking that thats what will be waiting for him when he gets home from rehearsal.

So I was talking to my mother yesterday and she brought up the health of my cat, Hershey. We've had him since I was about 7 so he's really really old. Plus when I was about 10 or 11 he was hit by a car and has been blind in one eye ever since. I call him Captain Hershey. I doubt he thinks its funny. Anyway, point is he's old and really shouldn't have survived getting hit, I guess I'm lucky my dad was a vet. Anyway again, my mom basically told me she thinks he's dying. I'm really sad about it. Just something thats been on my mind.

A couple of things...

A) I graduated! Yes, I finally did and I'm so very happy about it. I'm really looking forward to getting on with life now.

B) This was a great Christmas. Shawn got to spend Christmas Eve with my family and I spent Christmas Day with his. I think we both really enjoyed ourselves. And Shawn got me the coolest present. Its a bear that plays your ipod and puts on a light show. It sounds cheesy, but its one of my favorite gifts.



C) We got a Wii!! We were in Best Buy today and just happen to see a sales girl holding one. We asked her if there were more and she just handed it to us. Its the greatest thing EVER!! It came with a sports game and that alone is worth ever penny. This thing is just too much fun.

Basically this was a great Christmas and I'm looking forward to New Years Eve and the start of a great 2007!
