Cthulhu Sex closing
Category: Writing and Poetry

CSM officially announces closure

Amidst gnashing of teeth and tears of woe from the paid audience, St. Michael, creator and publisher of CSM, announced at a secret press conference that Cthulhu Sex Magazine would be closing after the next issue, Issue 14, Volume 3. "We started this magazine to mainstream amazing artwork and fantastic writing that wasn't in the public eye," said the surreally good-looking man, "and over the last nine years, we have achieved that goal." To back up his statement, a video presentation offered fun facts, including national distribution to multiple major chains, mentions in major international magazines and papers, and common usage as an example in non-promotional articles and blogs. "We'll miss our contributors and readers," St. Michael continued, "but we've decided to get out while the getting is good and use this shared experience to catapult into new and greater experiences." He went on to assure subscribers that they will receive compensation of undelivered issues in the form of books from Two Backed Books, the CSM imprint of Raw Dog Screaming Press. He also informed faithful readers of CSM that many of the writers they have come to know and love would be published through Two Backed Books. The CSM website will continue to operate as will the CSM MySpace page. St. Michael intimated that there might be a new experience at the webpage in the works.

Yes, fear not MySpace friends the CSM MySpace page will still be maintained. I will still post information about Two Backed Books releases and if there is any new CSM information, I will make sure to get it to you as well. Of course, this news does not seem to have gotten me out of the basement nor curbed my appetite. St. Michael just has a never ending amount of ,tasks for me to do, not to mention throwing down some bones or body parts for me. So keep those messages coming and don't forget to check out our latest book, Flesh and Iron. Have a tentacular summer.

new Two Backed Books release

Two Backed Books has just released its new book, Flesh and Iron edited by Michael Amorel. It is an anthology of gritty detective fiction on the trail of bloodthirsty monsters. These are four stories where the tooth hits the bone by writers who know how to slap the cuffs on the netherworld: Patrick Thomas, CJ Henderson, John French and John Sunseri. Hard boiled law enforcement squares off against hard-fanged blood suckers. When every breath could be their last, the only things that matter are the heat of their flesh and mettle of their iron. Flesh and Iron is now available on Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com. Soon it will also be available on Shocklines.com. I would like to mention that in no way were these stories inspired by St. Cthulhu sending me to motivate these authors. But if you buy a book now, St. Cthulhu has promised to free me from the flesh and iron with which he has imprisoned me.

Have a tentacular read. Good luck.
