Cursive on Daytrotter.com / Recording New Record

THIS IS A REPEATE FROM OUR BULLETIN!
Hey All!
We recently had the pleasure of stopping in Rock Island, IL and doing a quick live recording session with the wonderful people at www.Daytrotter.com
If you are not familiar with their site, you need to check it out. It is one of the most innovative, creative and most true to the DIY-ethic organizations we have ever run into. This is the way things are meant to be. A site and studio run by people who love music. You see how they pull it all together and you think "damn, that is brilliant, I wish I had thought of that and then had the courage to folllow it through"
Anyway, enough blubbering. Here is the link ->

This is all in celebration of our plans to enter the excellent ARC studios in Omaha, NE Tuesday of next week to begin work on our new record. RIght now we don't have a title for this beast but we do hope to share footage of the experience online in the coming weeks. Who knows though, we tend to slack off on the whole video deal.
The unreleased tunes recorded live you hear on Daytrotter will just be two of the 15 we have plans to track, hopes of a final album with about 10-12 songs.
Love Cursive

Cursive on WOXY.com
We stopped by the wonderful WOXY studios in Cincinnati on April 9th. We played a stripped down set re-working a couple old tunes and debuting two new ones.

CLINT ANNOUNCES HIS RETIREMENT FROM CURSIVE
Current mood: melancholy
Cursive regrets to announce the retirement of Clinton Frederick Schnase IV from the band. After years on the road Clint has decided to spend more time at home in Omaha, NE with his happy family of Whippets. Clint has been a lover of Whippets and worked with them for a number of years. He feels it is his spiritual calling, "You can see your future (or whatever) in their eyes."
We will miss touring, playing, laughing, crying, driving, flying, walking, talking and drinking with Clint and are making plans to love him forever. We wish the best for him and his Whippets and promise to visit him and hang out once a month until the end of time.
Clint's heavy sticks have been passed to the wonderful Cornbread Compton who has travelled and played with the band for the last 7 months. Clint responded enthusiastically when Cornbread accepted the drumming position with a loud, "F***ING SWEET, MAN". Well put.
Clint is pictured here with his beloved Whippets:

A chill ass dude:

And all class:
