+++The CWF Board of Directors took the reigns in hand at "Road to the Rumble" by ordering a six-man tag bout following a cowardly attack by Fatback Enterprises on Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride.  Brass Munkey & Roy "Rage" Wilkins hit the ring to make the save and joined McBride in the impromptu six-man bout against Edsel, Richards & manager Stutts which followed immediately.

+++Results courtesy of IndyInsiders.Com!  Please be so kind as to give credit should you repost these results elsewhere.  Thank you!

+++The Board of Directors stepped into the spotlight at the conclusion of the time-limit draw between TV Champion Marcellus King and challenger Lee Valiant.  Responding to the fan's chants for "five more minutes", a representative of the Board demanded that the fans got what they wanted by ordering King to either surrender the title to Valiant or get back in the ring and continue.  Three minutes into "overtime" Valiant was counted out after an attack by the VIPs "King of Heat" Gemini Kid & Jesse "El Fuego" Ortega, behind the back of the ring official, resulting in King retaining the title by rule.

+++CWF Mid Atlantic announced during "Road to the Rumble" that special VIP tickets for an upcoming Greensboro NC event on Friday December 6th will be available at the RUMBLE! on October 18th.  Each VIP ticket entitles the bearer to a night of pro wrestling and an early entry into the building to have one photo made with and one item autographed by the legendary "Nature Boy" Ric Flair!  Additional items will be available for a fee.  Get your VIP Ticket at the RUMBLE! to meet and greet "the Nature Boy" in Greensboro!

CWF Road To The Rumble Saturday - Burlington NC!

*** LEE VALIANT CHALLENGES FOR TV TITLE!

CWF Mid-Atlantic returns to the Carolina Sports Arena in Burlington, NC this Saturday, October 4th, with a 7:30pm belltime. This is a huge event with a full card of action!

Coming off the heels of getting ripped off at the CWF-MAX! First Blood main event match, Lee Valiant has been awarded a TV Title Match by the CWF Board of Directions this Saturday night.  Valiant will headline again this week, but this time against reigning TV Champion Marcellus King.  Valiant is hoping for a victory this Saturday which would allow him to reclaim the TV Title he once captured from "High Definition" Steve Greene.

Valiant has proven himself as one of the top tier wrestlers in the Mid-Atlantic territory and a win over King for the TV Title would keep him in the spotlight he has worked so hard to get into.  Although embroiled in a feud with the VIPs (Jesse Ortega, Steve Greene & Gemini Kid), Valiant and his fans have been pushing for him to get a championship bout.

Meanwhile TV Title holder Marcellus "The Militant M.A.K." King has other plans for Valiant.  King has long chased a championship in the CWF Mid-Atlantic and plans to keep his title for a long reign.  "As the TV Champion, I'm not afraid of defending against Lee Valiant or any other person in the Mid-Atlantic.  The fans think that he can win this title for a second time?  Maybe so, but he'll never win it from me.  The KING is on the throne, and it'll take a lot more than Lee Valiant to depose me!" commented Marcellus King.

Also slated for this Saturday night is the continuation of the Fatback/Mitch Connor feud.  Last week at the CWF-MAX! event, Fatback prevailed in a wild 6-man Texas Tornado bout.  This week, Connor has found a new partner to face Fatback Enterprises in his quest to elimination Brad Stutts and his Fatback crew.

"Mitch Connor, you're only getting what you deserve.  I've tried to protect you from the damage that my Fatback Enterprises is willing and capable of delivering to you.  You just don't seem to get the message. Well, Mitch, this Saturday night you're going to get the message loud and clear.  And that message is it's time for you to leave...forever!" declared manager Brad Stutts.

All this and so much more including the 2008 Johnny Weaver Cup Champion Brass Munkey, Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride, Roy Wilkins, "VIP" Jesse Ortega, Michael McAllister, and more!

Don't you dare miss it!!!

CWF-MAX! Quick Results - Burlington NC - 09.27.08

CWF Mid Atlantic presents
CWF-MAX!
Carolina Sports Arena
Burlington, NC
09.27.08

1.  Aftermath's "the 1st" Ric Converse w/William L. Cross defeated Sean McCulley by pinfall in singles action (7:07)

2.  Las Chivas defeated the Osirian Portal's Ophidian & Stigma by pinfall in Chikara Challenge Tag action (13:47)

3.  "High Definition" Steve Greene defeated Chase Dakota by pinfall in singles action (4:49)

4.  Fatback Enterprises ("Dangerous E" Corey Edsel, Donnie Dollars & "Jersey" Nick Richards w/Brad Stutts) defeated "Handsome" Mitch Connor, Brass Munkey & Roy "Rage" Wilkins by pinfall in six-man No DQ Texas Tornado action (13:47)

5.  VIP "King of Heat" Gemini Kid w/Jesse "El Fuego" Ortega defeated Destiny's "Leelicious" Lee Valiant in First Blood rules action (12:11)

Officials:  Katie Kincaid & Redd Jones

+++Before the opening bell, the fans were informed of the decision of the CWF Board of Directors concerning the non-professional outburst of Tag Champion "Box Office Draw" Mikael Yamaha last weekend.  Yamaha has been suspended without pay for 30 days, meaning he will be ineligible to compete in the 8th Annual CWF Rumble on October 18th.  Yamaha & Xsiris will also be forced to defend their titles on the first night of Yam's return, the November 1st TV taping at the Carolina Sports Arena.

+++CWF-MAX! Commissioner Garry "Madd Trucker" Stevens stirred up a pot of mayhem once again as the fans demanded the return of "Xtreme to the Mid Atlantic area!"  The Chikara Challenge match turned up the heat as the Osirian Portal's Ophidian, a serpent-like cruiserweight and Stigma returned to war in a rematch with international stars Las Chivas.  Las Chivas Numero Tres y Chivas Kid hit the ring and the bizarre began.  Ophidian had a mesmerizing effect on both of Las Chivas, almost hypnotizing them into a sleep on their feet, and the brute Stigma pounded on the Mexican stars from bell to bell.  The amazing Las Chivas survived the unconventional attacks of the Osirian Portal for a pinfall win over the Chikara stars.

+++Results are courtesy of the fine folks at IndyInsiders.Com, be so kind as to share the credit should you re-post these results elsewhere.  Thanks!

+++Fatback Enterprises made amends for a  poor showing at last weekend's Fatback Rising by surviving a brawl which destroyed a couple dozen of the arena's steel chairs against former Fatback associate "Handsome" Mitch Connor and his surprise partners for the six-man No-DQ Texas Tornado bout, Brass Munkey & Roy "Rage" Wilkins.  Connor took the pin after all six of the competitors brawled all over the building, sending fans running for safety at several points during the match.

+++The VIPs appeared to have a falling out as the "King of Heat" Gemini Kid dismissed long-time partner Jesse "El Fuego" Ortega after being forced to face Destiny's Lee Valiant in the CWF-MAX! main event in a First Blood Match.  Vicious attacks to both men's foreheads followed the opening bell, with both men ramming each other's faces into anything substantial in and around the ring.  Both competitors arrived with fists taped and let it all hang out in a near-boxing match which turned into a brawl which saw referee Redd Jones sent flying face-first to the canvas and down for the count.  Ortega returned to the ring area with both a clean towel and a steel chisel, which he passed to Gemini Kid.  Valiant eluded the attack of Gemini and took the chisel away from the senior member of the VIPs, turning it into a scapel across the flesh of the head of Gemini Kid in the ropes.  Ortega passed the towel to Gemini, who wiped away any evidence of his own bleeding as Ortega viciously attacked Valiant with a piece of steel barbed wire, splitting open his forehead in several places.  Gemini stood with a towel around his head as referee Jones was revived and saw the blood gushing from Valiant, calling for the bell and awarding the VIPs the win.

CWF-MAX! Returns Saturday Night - Burlington NC!

*** THE MADD TRUCKER PUTS THE XTREME IN THE MID-ATLANTIC!

CWF Mid-Atlantic's sister promotion, CWF-MAX, returns to the Carolina Sports Arena in Burlington, NC this Saturday, September 27th, with a 7:30pm belltime. This marks the return of Garry "Madd Trucker" Stevens' brand of action to Burlington!

For everyone that has seen a CWF-MAX event before, they know these are always can't miss dates as "The Madd Trucker" brings his own style of wrestling to the Carolina Sports Arena.  Garry Stevens who did retire from active competition at the season ending "BattleCade VIII", but didn't retire as Commissioner of the CWF-MAX brand wrestling.

The Madd Trucker has always put together fantastic one-of-a-kind matches, with many of them breaking all the violence rules of the building, and you can be sure that this Saturday will be more of the same unexpected "maddness" that only Garry Stevens can devise!

Secured for this Saturday night is a match you would normally find in the ECW Arena for Chikara as Mike Quackenbush has given the MAX brand an incredible matchup!  Those wild-and-crazy dancing goats, Las Chivas, was originally scheduled to face The The Osirian Portal's Ophidian & "Funky Pharoah" Amasis.  However Amasis is not going to be able to attend.  But never fear, another huge Chikara rudo will take his place as Stigma (formally Shane Storm) teams with Ophidian.

Stigma, once loved by the Chikara fans, has turned his back on his friend Quackenbush and plans on going after any fan favorite in Chikara, and Las Chivas are now on his hit list!  This "Chikara Challenge" could be unlike any match ever witnessed at the Carolina Sports Arena and alone makes this event one you can't afford to miss!

But many CWF-MAX fans enjoy the "Mid Atlantic Xtreme" action, and that is just what Stevens plans to give them with two other bouts.

For the first time ever at CWF-MAX, the Gemini Kid will be in action, and of all things a FIRST BLOOD MATCH against "Destiny's" Lee Valiant!  Gemini's partner, Jesse Ortega, refused the challenge of Valiant after defeating him last week, but did offer him the absent Gemini Kid if he wanted to take things to the "xtreme" this weekend.

Gemini has made it a point of never wrestling on the CWF-MAX events, and it's not certain if he was upset by Ortega inserting him into this week's blood match.  Could this be a crack in the VIPs or is it another devious plan by this hated faction?

Meanwhile Valiant has all but promised to split Gemini Kid's head open as the object of this First Blood Match is to make your opponent bleed!  If Valiant is successful, he will be one of a very few to make the "Technical Wizard" wear a crimson mask of his own blood.  A win by Valiant will not only please the fans, but will also earn him his return match against Jesse Ortega.

Another challenge was laid out last week, as Mitch Connor has been fighting Fatback Enterprises, manager Brad Stutts has dared Connor to find partners to face his stable at the CWF-MAX event.  Connor has seen a lot of success in actual competition against Fatback Enterprises, but he has suffered a series of beatings from them as well.  Will Connor be able to get two solid partners to face the fearsome Fatback gang, or will Connor again find himself outnumbered and beaten by numbers?

Also this and more as Garry "Madd Trucker" Stevens returns to the Carolina Sports Arena with CWF-MAX!

Don't you dare miss it!!!

Official Apology from CWF Board of Directors

The CWF Board of Directors were shocked and angered by the language which was heard on the house mic at last night's CWF Mid Atlantic event in Burlington NC.  Rest assured that this will not be taken lightly considering the fact that many children frequent our arena.  CWF Mid Atlantic was founded on the principles of being family-friendly, an event you can bring the entire family to with no fears of being embarassed or offended by foul language or gestures, and last night's show was certainly both embarassing and offensive.  We express our heartfelt apologies to everyone who was there and will announce what actions will be taken regarding this unfortunate incident later in the week.

2.  General McAllister & "Untouchable" Evan Banks w/Bobby O'Neil defeated Chase Dakota & Matt Smith by pinfall in tag team action (6:14)

3.  VIP Jesse "El Fuego" Ortega defeated Destiny's "Leelicious" Lee Valiant by pinfall in singles action (12:03)

4.  "Handsome" Mitch Connor defeated Fatback Enterprises' "Dangerous E" Corey Edsel by pinfall in singles action (11:26)

5.  CWF Mid Atlantic Tag Team Champions Xsiris & "Box Office Draw" Mikael Yamaha defeated Fatback Enterprises' Donnie Dollar$ & "Jersey" Nick Richards by pinfall to retain the titles (21:34)

6.  Aftermath's "the 1st" Ric Converse w/William L. Cross & masked man defeated CWF Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride by pinfall to win the title (4:18)

Officials:  Charles Richardson & Redd Jones

+++Before the first bout's introduction, an irate Mid Atlantic Champion Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride hit the ring with a large stick, demanding the house mic.  McBride threw down an emotional challenge to "the 1st" Ric Converse, who shaved off his beard at SuperBrawl III.  McBride offered "anything and everything" for a shot at Converse, including his doublewide, his Lincoln, his title and even his "ol' lady".  McBride didn't leave the ring until finally accepting that Converse was not even on the premisis, even at though his son entered the ring trying to calm him down.

+++Destiny's Lee Valiant challenged the VIPs Jesse "El Fuego" Ortega to a First Blood rematch at next week's CWF-MAX event, to which Ortega declined, saying he'd already defeated him.  Valiant changed up the challenge for a First Blood match against the VIP's "King of Heat" Gemini Kid in place of Ortega, to which Ortega reluctantly accepted on behalf of his partner.

+++A promo video for October's annual Indy Rumble aired, introducing a newcomer making his way to the CWF Mid Atlantic, a large physical, and faceless wrestler by the name of Tsunami.

+++Results are courtesy of IndyInsiders.Com.  Please be so kind as to credit them should you wish to repost these results elsewhere.

+++"Handsome" Mitch Connor did the impossible, both suplexing and then knocking out 2 time former heavyweight champion "Dangerous E" Corey Edsel in the middle of the ring en route to a surprising victory which should cause Connor's stock to skyrocket within the ratings.  Manager Stutts challenged Connor to find a couple of partners for a 6 man Texas Tornado bout at next Saturday's CWF-MAX! event in Burlington NC.  Connor accepted the challenge and left the ring to find a couple of partners before next weekend's return of CWF-MAX!

+++Also announced for next weekend's CWF-MAX! event is a rematch straight from the ECW Arena in Philadelphia as international favorites Las Chivas go up against the Osirian Portal ("The Venomous" Ophidian & "The Funky Pharoah" Amasis) in a Chikara Challenge Match!

+++Suspended Commissioner William L. Cross and the masked man hit the ring after the Mid Atlantic Tag Title bout to be quickly cornered by the club-weilding Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride.  Cross accepted the "Street Fight Challenge" from earlier in the evening on behalf of Converse, who entered the arena and attacked the champion from behind.  A brawl broke out before a referee could be summoned and finally the bell was rang.  Ten seconds after the opening bell McBride had already laid out the four time former champion flat on the canvas.  McBride hoisted up Converse and nailed him with his Saturday Night Superstar finisher, but surprisingly pulled up Converse's shoulders before the official could make the three count.  McBride picked up Converse and nailed him with a second Superstar, prompting the masked man to hit the ring apron just as McBride was picking Converse up for another.  Brass Munkey hit the arena and attacked the masked man and they brawled out of the building through the front door.  McBride hit the unconscious Converse with a third Superstar and again lifted Converse's shoulder to inflict more revenge.  As the champion lifted "the 1st" the lights went out.  As they returned several seconds later, the bizarre Soloman Spades was standing in the ring behind the champion.  Spades clobbered the Boogie Man and pulled his partner onto McBride for the three count, all legal under Street Fight Rules.  Converse, still groggy, left the ring with the CWF Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Title for his fifth reign as champion in a totally unexpected turn of events.

+++CWF-MAX! returns to action next Saturday, September 27th, at Burlington NC's Carolina Sports Arena!  Already signed:  Six-Man Texas Tornado Bout!  First Blood Bout!  Chikara Challenge Match!  Reserve your seats now at CWF247.COM now!

CWF Mid Atlantic "Fatback Rising!" Saturday Night! CWF MAX Returns!!

FATBACK CHALLENGES FOR TAG TEAM TITLES!

CWF Mid-Atlantic returns to the Carolina Sports Arena in Burlington, NC this Saturday, September 20th, with a 7:30pm belltime. This is a huge event of heated grudges coming to a boiling point.

BOOGIE PROMISES TO FIGHT CONVERSE!!!

After falling victim to unimaginable embarrassment when the Aftermath attacked him and shaved off his beard in front of all of his hometown and family at Superbrawl 3, the Boogie Man was feeling mighty low. This Saturday night at the Carolina Sports Arena Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride has sworn not just a confrontation but an all out brawl with Aftermath crown jewel "The 1st" Ric Converse. The champion finally broke a hometown losing streak with a pinfall over Converse only to see that crowning moment ruined forever with the Aftermath attacked. Now Boogie swears that HE will be the one on the offensive come Saturday night!

2 TITLE BOUTS - KING MAKES 1ST TV TITLE DEFENSE!

Saturday night's huge card will also see two title matches as Mid-Atlantic Television Champion Marcellus King will make his first title defense against Brass Munkey! King could see the shortest TV Title run in CWF history as the 2008 Weaver Cup winner Brass Munkey has been on a roll second to none recently and aims to regain a championship that he helped put on the map. Also Mid-Atlantic Tag-Team Champions Mikael Yamaha & Xsiris pair up against 2 members of Brad Stutts' Fatback Enterprises!

But that's not the only thing Stutts has to worry about, as the Board of Directors coaxed the boastful manager into signing a singles match that will see one of his men take on former stablemate Mitch Connor! Connor says he will take out every member of Fatback before all is said and done, and fresh off breaking Matthew de Nero's ankle at Superbrawl 3, "Handsome" Mitch is after another pink soldier this Saturday night! Manager Stutts has been tight-lipped over which of his charges will be getting which assignments come Saturday, opting to sign open contracts.

PLUS the Destiny vs. VIP war wages on as Jesse Ortega collides with Lee Valiant; Evan Banks; Gen. Michael McAllister; The Aftermath of Ric Converse & William L. Cross and more!

CWF MAX BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!

Next Saturday night, September 27, the CWF Board of Directors have negotiated a very special and unique event, the return of CWF MAX! The event will take place at the Carolina Sports Arena with a 7:30 bell time and will feature all the unique, once in a life time matches that you have come to expect from CWF MAX! Find out more, including match announcements THIS Saturday!

4.  Marcellus "Militant M.A.K." King defeated CWF Mid Atlantic Television Champion Tank Lawson w/Gregory King by pinfall to win the title (9:25)

7.  CWF Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride defeated "the 1st" Ric Converse w/Commissioner Cross & Masked Man by pinfall to retain the title (9:51)

Officials:  Katie Kincaid & Redd Jones

+++The CWF Board of Directors corrected a problem they discovered with the Rising Generation League title, the fact it had yet to be defended by champion "Jersey" Nick Richards.  Richards was ordered to defend the title in a "dark match" before the National Anthem and escaped with the strap with a little help from his friends.

+++Results courtesy of the fine folks at IndyInsiders.Com.  Please be sure to share that information should you repost these results elsewhere!

+++"Handsome" Mitch Connor took a steel chair to the leg of defeated opponent Matthew de Nero after being on the wrong end of a post-match attack.  De Nero was helped from the ring area screaming in pain all the way to the dressing room area following the counter-attack.

+++Destiny's Ty Dillinger introduced his announced "special guest" during the 6-Man No DQ Ballfield Brawl, an aluminum baseball bat.  Dillinger introduced the man who tried to break his neck on two occassions to the baseball bat, setting up a decisive pinfall win after taking "King of Heat" Gemini Kid to the batting cage.

+++The curse that has followed Heavyweight Champ Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride at SuperBrawl events was finally put to rest as McBride successfully defeated 4-time former champion "the 1st" Ric Converse by pinfall in under 10 minutes in the SuperBrawl III main event.  Following the bell, Aftermath's Converse, Cross & Masked Man all jumped McBride and pounded him into the canvas.  They then shoved cameraman Grant Sawyer off of the ring apron, ripping his power supply cable from his equipment and pulling it into the ring.  Cross then connected a pair of electric shears to the power and as he and the Masked Man held down the champion, Converse shaved the beard and moustache off of McBride.  Cross collected much of the facial hair from the canvas and filled a ziplock bag full of it, taking it from the ring area as they exited.

+++CWF Mid Atlantic returns to live action on Saturday September 20th at 7:30 pm at Burlington NC's Carolina Sports Arena for another big TV Taping!

CWF Civitans SuperBrawl III Saturday Night Rain or Shine!

*** MCBRIDE-CONVERSE TITLE REMATCH! DESTINY-VIPs BALLFIELD BRAWL!

--- EVENT TO BE HELD RAIN OR SHINE! ---

CWF Mid-Atlantic returns to the Sumner Civitans Ballfield in Greensboro, NC this Saturday, September 6th, with a 7:30pm belltime. This is a huge event to benefit the Sumner Civitans with a full card of action.

It seems that everything has changed since SuperBrawl II.  There it was a battle of respect as Ric Converse defended the Mid-Atlantic Hwt. Title against Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride with a willing Commissioner William L. Cross allowing a straight-up match between the two.

At SuperBrawl III, McBride is the champion defending against a now hated Ric Converse and his manager, the suspended commissioner, William L. Cross.  Cross has been suspended by the Board of Directors because of his actions but the Board can do nothing about his managerial duties for Converse and his recently revealed "Aftermath" faction.

In a final act of defiance, Cross inked two title matches for SuperBrawl III.  Rob McBride will defend the heavyweight crown against 4-Time former champion, Ric Converse.  Also TV Champion Tank Lawson will make a rare title defense outside the Burlington TV Studios, against "The Militant M.A.K." Marcellus King.

McBride will try to defy the odds of facing Converse with Cross in his corner and break the "Sumner Civitan Curse."  McBride has been extremely unlucky at the ballfield events.  McBride lost the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Titles at SuperBrawl I and lost to Converse for the Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Title at SuperBrawl II.  The Boogie Woogie Man is hoping that he can finally leave the ballfield with championship gold and break the curse.

McBride commented, "Whoooo mercy! The Boogie Man knows all about curses.  Just listen to Ricky Converse and his Daddy Cross after the match, brotha!  That's gonna be some cursing for sure!"

While McBride and Converse will be in the main event, another huge grudge match will take place in the semi-main.  A special "Ballfield Brawl" will pit Destiny team of Joey Silvia, Lee Valiant, and manager Ty Dillinger, against their rivals, the VIPs (Jesse Ortega, Gemini Kid, and Steve Greene).  Dillinger has decided to don the tights for this unique bout in an effort to exact revenge against the VIPs and specifically the Gemini Kid, for attempting to break his neck... twice!

The "anything goes" rules of a Ballfield Brawl would seem to favor the rule-breaking VIP trios, but Dillinger has declared that he will have a special guest in Destiny's corner to help guide them to a win.  "Ballfield Brawl? That sounds a lot like a Street Fight to me!  Gemini Kid calls himself the King of Heat, well all the CWF fans know that Destiny is the King of Street Fights!  And to make sure I get my hands on Gemini to pay him back, I've got a special surprise for Saturday night," Ty Dillinger informed us.

Two big title bouts and the Ballfield Brawl are all scheduled for this Saturday night but you'll also see more great action including  the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions Xsiris & Mikael Yamaha, the 2008 Johnny Weaver Cup Winner Brass Munkey, Mitch Connor, Roy Wilkins, Brad Stutts' Fatback Enterprises (Corey Edsel, Donnie Dollars, Matthew de Nero & Nick Richards) Evan Banks with manager Bobby O'Neal, General McAllister, and more in action this Saturday night in Greensboro, NC at the Sumner Civitans Ballfield!

Don't you dare miss it!!!

Brass Munkey Survives Weaver Cup Triple Threat; Cross SUSPENDED!

CWF Mid Atlantic presents
the 2008 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament Finals
Carolina Sports Arena
Burlington, NC
08.16.08

1.  Otto Schwanz & Chase Dakota defeated Wallabee Joe & "Big" Ray Kandrack by pinfall in tag team action (8:00)

2.  Brass Munkey defeated VIP Jesse "El Fuego" Ortega by pinfall to advance to the final of the 2008 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament (12:12)

3.  "Box Office Draw" Mikael Yamaha defeated Evan Banks w/Bobby O'Neil by pinfall in singles action (13:54)

4.  Fatback Enterprises ("Dangerous E" Corey Edsel, Donnie Dollar$, Matthew de Nero & "Jersey" Nick Richards w/Brad Stutts and the Fatback Girls) defeated "Handsome" Mitch Connor, CWF Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride, CWF Mid Atlantic Television Champion Tank Lawson & Destiny's Lee Valiant by pinfall in eight-man tag team action (22:59)

5.  Brass Munkey won the 2008 Johnny Weaver Memorial Tournament Final by defeating both Marcellus "Militant M.A.K." King w/General McAllister (10:40) & "the 1st" Ric Converse w/William L. Cross & an unidentified masked man by pinfall in Triple Threat Weaver Cup Finals action (12:35)

Officials:  Charles Richardson, Katie Kincaid, Redd Jones & Chris Troxler

+++Commissioner William L. Cross interrupted the introduction of the scheduled Weaver Cup Semi between Marcellus King and Ric Converse, striking a deal with the General at ringside.  Cross then announced that neither would have to wrestle twice because he was changing up the rules and making Brass Munkey "prove himself" in a Triple Threat Weaver Cup Final against both Converse & King.  Leaving the ring area, Cross got loud with CWF Mid Atlantic Board member Grant "StatMark" Sawyer, due to the cameraman's comments about Cross' decision from his position on the ring apron.  Cross then took a verbal shot at the ring announcer (another Board member) as well for alleged comments about "taking his job on the internet".

+++Brass Munkey is the fifth man in history to have his name added to the Weaver Cup trophy following his impressive win over both Converse & King in the Triple Threat Final.  Converse & King displayed some teamwork, taking turns administering a beating on Munkey, but eventually crossed each other up and they both lost their cool.  Converse battled King as Munkey caught his breath on the floor after a long double-team, setting King up for his elimination from the Final.  As King finally left the arena, Munkey takes it up a notch for a devastating clothesline that disoriented the former world champion and set him up for the deciding fall.  The bloodied and battered Munkey celebrated their victory only AFTER being presented with the Weaver Cup by last year's winner, "Handsome" Mitch Connor.  Munkey displayed his class by requesting one more ten bell salute for the late Johnny Weaver before wading into the sea of adoring fans.

+++As the closing of the Weaver Cup video was being shown, official word came down that past offenses added to the change of the Weaver Cup format ordered by Cross was enough for the CWF Mid Atlantic Board of Directors to not fire, but suspend, Commissioner William L. Cross effective at midnight August 16, 2008.  The announcement was made as Munkey was still in full celebration mode and Cross stormed back into the arena screaming with the masked man and Converse in his wake.  Ring announcer and Board member Randy Hedrick was drug out of the building by the three but returned shortly with the announcement that Cross was being escorted from the facility by officials after being ordered to leave and that the Commissioner's suspension was done by proper protocols within the company's by-laws and was indeed binding.
