Issue number 19 launch
Cyclic Defrost 19 will be online soon. However, if you’re in Sydney, come along to the launch party on Thursday April 3, and pick up a ’proper’ print copy.
We’ve linked up with Feral Media (run by Cyclic scribe Danny Jumpertz) to put on the night at the lovely and intimate Sound Lounge with Underlapper and Robert Luke playing live, and DJs Aluf and Matt Levinson. It’s $12 entry.
The Sound Lounge is downstairs at the Seymour Centre, corner City Road & Cleveland Streets, Chippendale. It’s this Thursday, April 3, 8-11:30pm.

Issue 15 is out now

The new issue is here.
The cover this time comes direct from Qatar in the Middle East - hence the title on the back. Bim Ricketson, our new art director is behind the lens and talks about his experiences in dusty and hot, fossil fuel rich Qatar whilst laying out the issue. This issue also features interviews with Sydney's Deepchild and Astronomy Class, Melbourne's Post and Winduptoys, Hobart's Matt Warren, Rebel MP from Lismore, and Shannon O'Neill guides us through his formative record experiences. On the international front we speak to Kid Koala, Nico Muhly and Rune Kristoffersen from Norwegian independent label Rune Grammofon.
Those not in Sydney should keep an eye on their local independent record store the following week as Inertia will start shipping them to stores nationwide on November 20.
Those who live outside Australia or don't get out to record stores much . . . and have not yet bought an international subscription should check out the PDF version.
