Obamas Tax Cut for 95% of Working Americans is Full of Crap
Current mood: hungry
Category: News and Politics

With the Dow Jones showing its worst performance in so many years, it doesn't compare to the Carter Administration and the horrific economy of 1980, 1981, and 1982. Double digit inflation, 18% mortgage interest rates, and double digit unemployment was what I could remember during that time and wish never to see it ever again.

All I can say is not to panic. The market will rebound. Don't fall prey with today because the near future will be very promising. I saw how the market rebounded during the 1987 mini market crash and September 11. Just hang in there and don't do anything drastic. We are experiencing the fear factor among the gutless investors in Wall Street. This is an artifical drop, and as fast the market can drop, it will always rebound back past the pre-fall numbers.

I have noticed something that would be worth mentioning. Have you notice when Obama poll number jump higher, the market drops? It is known that over 74% of Wall Street is dreading of an Obama presidency. They know what the economy will be like when we have Pelosi in the House, Reid in the Senate, and Obama in the White House. There wouldn't be any check and balance. You will have Liberals run wild in Washington. As an example, this can be seen with the ineffective Democrat majority, who took over in 2006. They found a way to bring down the price of gas and the barrel of oil. Democrats saw that screwing up the economy will decrease the price of oil and strengthen the dollar. Well, they are right and it just happened. Price of oil dropped below $80 per barrel, and conversely, the dollar strengthened over the Euro. I call it a drastic means, but at the end, the American people still suffer. Ironically, the American people still feel Democrats could do better with the economy than Republicans. ROLMFAO! People! Wake up!

I always insist that raising any taxes during these tough time is foolish and naive. Therefore, i want to point out Obamas plan in cutting taxes for 95% of working families, which is a full of crap, and to restart the economy.

An article by Kimberly Strassel pays tribute to Obama's magic in a column that usefully summarizes the internal contradictions of Obamanism:

To kick off our show tonight, Mr. Obama will give 95% of American working families a tax cut, even though 40% of Americans today don't pay income taxes! How can our star enact such mathemagic? How can he "cut" zero? Abracadabra! It's called a "refundable tax credit." It involves the federal government taking money from those who do pay taxes, and writing checks to those who don't. Yes, yes, in the real world this is known as "welfare," but please try not to ruin the show.

For his next trick, the Great Obama will jumpstart the economy, and he'll do it by raising taxes on the very businesses that are today adrift in a financial tsunami! That will include all those among the top 1% of taxpayers who are in fact small-business owners, and the nation's biggest employers who currently pay some of the highest corporate tax rates in the developed world. Mr. Obama will, with
a flick of his fingers, show them how to create more jobs with less money. It's simple, really. He has a wand.

Just think what we would endure if Obama is president. You don't need to go far and see what the current state the market is doing now. It would take us back to the Jimmy Carter era, but worst.

What does Bin Laden and Barack Obama have in common?
Category: News and Politics

They both have friends who "bombed" the Pentagon. LOL.

Ayers is now the talking point of the week. The media is trying to report on it & put their spin. No matter what Obama say's, he's toast!

McCain put out a tv ad pitting bad judgement & suspected moral character to describe Obama's relationship with Ayers.

For Obama to say Ayers is a neighbor, & was 8 years old when Ayers was committing terrorist act is a joke.

Here is a question to those undecided voters and confused Democrats. Would you befriend someone or allow your child to be near someone you know, who was a pedifile in the past?

I didn't think so.

I am certain that the last debate we will see the gloves coming off, & finally, see some fireworks.

Palin is Related to FDR & Princess Di
Category: News and Politics

I always believe that strong genes will pass on through generation to generation. It seems funny that Obama and Cheney share the same family tree. If there are strong similarities between these two men, then it is worth debating.

I am so impress to hear that Sarah Palin has direct lineage to President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Britain's Princess Diana.

It has been researched that FDR is a distant cousin of Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee. According to Ancestry.com, Roosevelt is Palin's ninth cousin once removed. Also, Palin is a 8th cousin of the late Princess Diana.

Now we know why Sarah Palin is the darling of most Americans. It's her firery and persuasive personality of a FDR with the elegance and grace of Princess Diana that took America by storm.

A great combination to be a great leader.

Boring Debate but Looking Closely McCain Gave Substance That We Needed
Current mood: optimistic
Category: News and Politics

Last night debate was very boring, but it showed me that "The One" can be rattled very easily. Besides that, while Obama continue to give the same talking rhetoric from the first debate and his stump talks, McCain took the courage to give his solution to restart the economy.

McCain's fresh idea is to buy up all the bad mortgage and change the term of those loan at the current market price in order to keep those homeowners in their own homes. Instead of Mainstreet bailing out Wallstreet, McCain wants to help rescue Mainstreet, who are the engine of this economy. Whether or not this is a good idea is up to debate, but at least its an idea that we can chew on. Obama did not offer anything new.

I think Obama didn't hurt himself, but he didn't convince those undecided to join his bandwagon. This is why the race remains close.

McCain made a huge jump up from the first debate in that he was more personable and human, serious when he needed to be, but he worked in some humor at several points.

While McCain has been in many townhall forum, I felt embarrassed for Tom Brokaw in reminding Obama to keep his rhetoric within the allowed time limit. If these candidates signed an agreement on the rules of the debate, I expect it to be followed. This is where Obama showed is inexperience. Obama seemed to repeatedly break the rules simply to ramble on past the time limits, even after being indirectly admonished by Brokaw. It seems when McCain struck a nerve, Obama took the liberty to ignore all rules to try and distract the viewer with his charm and grace. At least, I can say that many others saw what I saw and won't be duped by it.

While Obama spent much of the 90 minutes repeating the same phrases and attacks from the first debate, I did enjoy to hear something fresh from McCain. I am sure McCain gave a few conservatives an angina episode with his new idea, but that stood out a little more to keep my interest in the debate.

I thought McCain generally improved his performance on the economic crisis and other domestic matters. He sounded more thoughtful, instead of constantly repeating talking points.

Obama didn’t make any obvious mistakes, except for some makeup lies, but McCain gave undecided voters a slightly improved view than they’ve seen before, while Obama looked pretty much the same. As I said before, this could make a big difference since this race remains to be very close.

An Damning Email Against Obama from rILEY *pwxk* [God's Warrior]
Category: News and Politics

I got a email from a myspace friend
'rILEY (pwxk) [God's Warrior]' and it's a fabulous work that took patience and good research. I couldn't said it better myself. I am posting the email he sent to me. Brilliant work Riley!

So i just spent hours compiling this because it's stuff that drives me crazy. Either nobody knows about it, or they just don't care. I'm determined to prove to people just how much of a fool Barry Obama is. Cy, let me know if this sounds good to you! Sadly i can't blog it for some reason! I can't even read your blogs! I'm frustrated! [correction- Riley was able to fix the problem]
-------
And it just get's uglier folks. The wonderboy many of you have picked to save this country will be the one who ruins it from the inside out. Inexperience, wishful thinking, unrealistic, the most liberal senator currently... these are all words that describes Mr. Barry Obama. There's so much most of you don't know about him, and if you knew it you'd refuse to believe it. So here's some facts. Wait let me say that again- FACTS about Barack.
---
He is pro-choice. He has voted 100% for pro-choice in the past three years EACH time. He doesn't even know when life begins, "This is something that I have not come to a firm resolution on. I think it's very hard to know what that means, when life begins. Is it when a cell separates? Is it when the soul stirs? So I don't presume to know the answer to that question. What I know is that there is something extraordinarily powerful about potential life and that that has a moral weight to it that we take into consideration when we're having these debates." (2008 Democratic Compassion Forum at Messiah College Apr 13, 2008)

Another thing, "In 1997, Obama voted against SB 230, which would have turned doctors into felons by banning so-called partial-birth abortion, & against a 2000 bill banning state funding. Although these bills included an exception to save the life of the mother, they didn't include anything about abortions necessary to protect the health of the mother. The legislation defined a fetus as a person, & could have criminalized virtually all abortion." (The Improbable Quest, by John K. Wilson, p.147-148)

I can't side with someone who wants to allow murdering of children just because it's inconvenient. He said he didn't want his daughters "punished" with a baby if i recall correctly?? And if his daughters DO get pregnant, they would have been able to cross state lines to get an abortion. The law did not pass but was rejected 49/49 with two senators absent. They would also have been protected by law to not have to inform their parents if they decided to have an abortion
---
William Ayers. He was a figurehead of a group call Weatherman or the Weather Underground. They were a radical left group that aimed at terrorist acts. They bombed a police statue in 1969, bombed new york city's police headquarters in 1970, the U.S. Capitol building in '71, and the Pentagon in '72. He made a bunch of statements about this all on September 10, 2001 and were published the day of the 9/11 attacks. He was quoted as saying "we didn't do enough" and "i don't regret setting bombs." When asked if he would do it again, he said he "didn't want to discount that possibility." And in 2004, he responded to this question, "How do you feel about what you did? Would you do it again under similar circumstances?" His reply: "I’ve thought about this a lot. Being almost 60, it’s impossible to not have lots and lots of regrets about lots and lots of things, but the question of did we do something that was horrendous, awful? ... I don’t think so. I think what we did was to respond to a situation that was unconscionable."

Obama had said that he only knows Ayers. But it's not that simple. He’s appeared on panels with Ayers, Obama served with him as chairman of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (which Ayers co-founded), and held a 1995 campaign event at the home of Ayers and his wife, who was also a member of weather underground. Ayers even gave money to Obama to help his campaign efforts.

Plain and simple, if Obama has a "friendly" relationship with Ayers, as he has said, it makes me a little uncomfortable to know the two have a history together.

You've probably heard about Barack's church and his pastor Jeremiah Wright, who idolizes Louis Farrakhan. Farrakhan has referred to Jews and other races as blood suckers and he has referred to Judaism as a dirty or a gutter religion. He also said, "White people are potential humans - they haven't evolved yet," in the Philadelphia Inquirer, March 2000. He also blamed Jews for the War in Iraq, for promoting filth and contolling Hollywood.

What does that have to do with Obama? Wright presented Farrakhan with the "Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Trumpeter Award" and said that the man epitomized greatness. Wright even went to Libya with Farrakhan to visit dictator Moammar Khadafy. By the mid-1980s, Khadafy was widely regarded as the principal financier of international terrorism. He funded attacks on a German dance club that killed three and injured 200 (mostly which were U.S. servicemen) and an attack on the '72 olympics that was dubbed "black september movement" in Munich. He even claimed to have a weapons of mass destruction program after we invaded iraq.

He even said this about Obama... "Along came a black citizen of Kenyan African origins, a Muslim, who had studied in an Islamic school in Indonesia. His name is Obama. All the people in the Arab and Islamic world and in Africa applauded this man. They welcomed him and prayed for him and for his success, and they may have even been involved in legitimate contribution campaigns to enable him to win the American presidency. But we were taken by surprise when our African Kenyan brother, who is an American national, made statements that shocked all his supporters in the Arab world, in Africa, and in the Islamic world. We hope that this is merely an elections 'clearance sale,' as they say in Egypt -- in other words, merely an elections lie. As you know, this is the farce of elections -- a person lies and lies to people, just so that they will vote for him, and afterwards, when they say to him: 'You promised this and that,' he says: 'No, this was just elections propaganda.'"

So what i'm getting at is Obama attended this church that's pastor was idolizing islamic radicalist, black liberationists, black power, anti-semantic attitudes if you will, for over 20 years. That would be like me attending a church that's pastor finds the company of klan mambers and neo-nazis to be enjoyable. Barack even told Wright that he preferred him not to come to his campaign announcement because he could "get kind of rough at sermons." and then Khadafy says that Obama is a Muslim, but he lied about it. Hoping that when he wins, Obama will tell the truth. I'm not sure this guilty by association thing should be ignored.
---
Obama's foreign policy experience is next to nothing! By thinking we can sit down and convince Iran's president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to be nice to Israel or to take back the statement that "the countdown to the destruction of the U.S. has begun," is crazy. If he doesn't believe the holocaust happened or that we were attacked on 9/11, how is Barry Obama gonna convince him to allow israel it's right to exist where it is now?

(Ahmadinejad said that the only thing that happened on 9/11 was a building collapsed and the death toll was never published, nor any victim's names. He also stated, "I will only accept something as truth if I am actually convinced of it," referring to the holocaust.)

Obama doesn't have the ideology to address these situations! The Washington Post reported, “European officials are increasingly concerned that Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign pledge to begin direct talks with Iran on its nuclear program without preconditions could potentially rupture U.S. relations with key European allies early in a potential Obama administration.” So Obama is gonna screw us over on that issue.
---
Obama wants to go back to the policies of pre 9/11 by granting habeas corpus to terrorists captured. He is against detaining them for long periods of time. That would put us back to the 1990's when the USS Cole was attacked and our embassies were bombed in Africa. We haven't been attacked since 9/11 and neither has a place of American interest since 2004! Something must be working, but he thinks that our policy of detainment will just make more people mad and think we dislike muslims. Obamas interest is obviously in what other people think of us and not what is best for us.
---
This is just the start of my arguments against Barack Obama. I can provide more reasons later. It's 5 a.m.
I think it's bed time!

Obama Spreading Lies That Bailout Profits Will Go to the American People
Category: News and Politics

I read the bailout bill that was sign by the Senate, the House, and by President Bush. My opinion of it is "Bullcrap!"

Beside the billions of pork or earmarks hidden inside the bill, I kept hearing that the profits of this bailout will come back to us the American people.

Even the false 'messiah' is out there speading these lies. Sen. Barack Obama’s (D-Ill.) statement on the Senate floor that “every penny” of the profits derived from the government’s purchase and resale of troubled mortgage-backed securities “will go directly back to the American people.”

To quote, Obama said, “If this is managed correctly, and that is an important ‘if,’ we will hopefully get most of our money back, and possibly even turn a profit on the government's investment -- every penny of which will go directly back to the American people.”

The truth is that the law says the money will go to pay off federal debt.

Therefore, what Obama and the majority members of the House and Senate, who supported this bill, their claim that the money will go to the American people is false.

In reality, the bill states that the government will get all of its money back. I do not see anywhere that any profit will be returned directly to taxpayers.

The bill states:

Under Section 106(d) of the bill, entitled “Transfer to the Treasury,” “(all) revenues of, and proceeds from the sale of troubled assets purchased under this Act . . . shall be paid into the general fund of the Treasury for reduction of the public debt.”

This means if any money realized by this bailout would go directly into the federal treasury.

This bailout may help free money for banks to lend to another and be able to give out loans to the American people, but who says that the bank has to do it. We are fixing the problem and rewarding bad behavior by throwing money on it.

Heck, this is the Democrats way of fixing any problem. I can't wait to see if the Speaker of the House from California will bailout its financial woes of her own State.

Biden Talks Stupid During The VP Debate
Category: News and Politics

From the debate, Biden not only wouldn't shut up, he started to spew idiotic lies and misinformation. I start to notice when he enjoyed throwing out unrealistic facts and figures out of thin air. Did you notice some of the following that was so obvious to me?

* Biden said, "It's simply not true that Barack Obama said he'd meet Iran's president without preconditions."

Yet when Obama was asked if he would in a debate during the primaries, he said yes. Even Biden back then called Obamas remark "naive."

* Biden said during the debate he's "always supported" clean-coal technology, but after stammering emphatically just last month, "I do not support clean coal."

* Biden repeatedly asserted that the US spends more money on three weeks' combat in Iraq than it's spent in Afghanistan since the war began.

Well, that claim's maybe true if he limits Afghan expenditures merely to US rebuilding efforts. But according to State Department numbers, Joe Blow - would been off by a factor of three.

* Biden repeatedly insisted that "our commanding general in Afghanistan said the surge principle in Iraq will not work."

Actually, Sarah Palin corrected Biden's dangerous statement by saying, "What Gen. David McKiernan had said was that tribal realities in Afghanistan are very different than in Iraq, which requirie a different form of cooperation of more troops and local tribal support." In other words, Biden and Obama supports an Afghanistan surge. The same SURGE in Iraq that Biden and Obama opposes.

* Then there was the classic Bidens "WTF??" moment. Biden said,
"When . . . along with France, we kicked Hezbollah out of Lebanon, I said and Barack said, 'Move NATO forces in there. Fill the vacuum, because if you don't, Hezbollah will control it."

Huh? What the hell??

A friend of mine helped with with this one. Alfonzo said that Biden was referring to 2005,when American and French gave pressure to help the Lebanese people kick Syrian troops out of Lebanon. NATO never occupied in that deeply divided country as if America's NATO allies would have gone in the first place. But hey, it wouldn't be a Biden moment to opine and bloviate into a 5 minute leture.

You gotta love Biden, who is just a heart beat away to the White House. OMG, that is a scary thought. LOL.

Thanks to the 95 Democrats Who Sided with Republicans and Gave the Finger to Pelosi
Current mood: relieved
Category: News and Politics

I love how the Democrats trying to blame the Republicans for not supporting the $700 billion bailout bill. So what! Majority of America opposes an unfair and unjust bill. If you want to put some spin on this, the Democrat leaders should put blame on the 95 Democrats who voted against the bill and sided with the Republicans. In fact, I congratulate those 95 Democrats who stood against and didn't fill prey to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. I'm glad there are state representatives who have the moral judgement to understand that socialism is wrong.

This is a great day. In today's market, we saw a reversal downward trend to more positive territory. From a 777-point drop to a 485-point upswing, it shows that the market is base on fictional emotional fears and excitement. It tells me that the market is resilient against major catastrophes of our times. It also tells me that the market is warning us that if the problem is not solved, a 777-point drop is considered small potatoes to what devastating revelations the market could really show.

Now, the Senate is showing their proposal, which differs to the House $700 billion bailout. The Senate is proposing to raise the FDIC, which is $100,000 per account, to $250,000. That is an excellent move to bring confidence to the American people. Also, they want to suspend the AMT (Alternative Minimum Tax) to help those 20 million people who may be affected. Even though the Senate gave their best shot in the solution, it is not enough.

To solve this mess, I do support raising the FDIC standards and suspending the AMT, but I really feel that suspending or ending the tax on capital gains will cause an influx of capital into the system. I would support allowing the SEC chairman to suspend the policy for mark to market evaluation and implement fair market value on homes. This is something that can be done without Congress approval, but I still have no idea why the SEC chairman is sitting on his fanny and not do what is right. The main problem is a mark-to-market accounting, where all assets are required to be valued at current market prices. If the market is temporarily depressed, it can cause an artificial crisis, and that is what we are currently seeing. By suspending the mark to market evaluation, we can see an improvement with the banking system. Finally, the Congress must repeal an old law from 1977 called the Community Reinvestment Act, which mandated that all banks must give loans or not to deny a loan to any person seeking to purchase a mortgage or obtain credit. The act prohibits any banking institution from targeting only rich neighborhoods; thereby preventing those not from that class to move into the neighborhood, which is called redlining. By eliminating this awful Act, it is the beginning to the road to recovery with the banking system. It will prevent those who are unable to pay back the loan not to get that loan. It is basic economic 101.

I can 't understand why we are in a dire need to jump the gun and allow the government to grow exponentially. It is bad enough that we dabble in many socialist programs and I really hate to see power given to someone who can abuse the system. Secretary of the Treasury Paulson is asking Congress to give himself unlimited power to do what he pleases with the $700 billion bailout. There is no accountability and to allow a former Goldman Sach executive full reign of this economy to treat it like his business is very risky. I rather like what I outline above and increase domestic oil and gas production in our country. That would definitely alleviate the high cost of gas and it would give the American people a concrete tax break.

It is important to note that it won't cost the taxpayer any money and some of the provision can be done without approval from Congress. My only advice to everybody is not to panic and make haste or rash decision. Let the market correct itself. This market has withstood turbulent times and this is not the end all final solution. The Democrats are to be blamed on our woes. From Jimmy Carter and his Community Reinvestment Act to corruption of Senators Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, there is plenty of blame to go around. It is time to put McCain/Palin into the White House to do their best to get rid of the tumor that is spreading through Washington, D.C.

Thanks to that IDIOT Pelosi the Market Tanked 777 Points
Current mood: bitchy
Category: News and Politics

I am so happy that the $700 billion bailout package failed, but I am so disgusted how the Democrats put their own self political interest over the American people. It is very transparent to see how the Democrats have been playing politics on this economy from day one! Before McCain suspended his campaign to return to Washington, Democrat Majority leader Harry Reid had gone on record to say, "Where is John McCain and why isn't he here to help solve this problem." Then, McCain publically stated he will suspend his campaign and the Democrats stated that McCain shouldn't come back because a tentative agreement has been reached, which was a blatant lie.

If matters weren't so contentious, after a bipartisan agreement has been reached between Democrats and Republicans in the wee hours of Sunday morning, a glimmer of hope shined upon this present Congress showing that they care about the American people, but it would be foolish to believe in such a myth. Then, Pelosi felt to insult the GOP and blaming them on this economic mess before the actual vote on this bailout.

It turns out that the majority of GOP realized that the bailout was not to the best interest of the American people. Also, Pelosi thought she had the votes to pass this bill, but 40% of her own caucus sided with the Republican. The result was saving us from a socialist controlling government. I believe in the principle that there is another alternative route that won't bite us in the pocket. I have heard many different solutions to this mess without dumping a band-aid of $700 billion. Can anyone tell me what government program was a success under that control of the Federal Government? Well, I know that there are more failures than successes in these governments run programs. The Federal Government is not in the business in running a mortgage industry. We have seen the Democrats forcing failure in order to have the government run the show. In fact, democrats have gone on record to say that we need to "socialize" the oil companies. Recently, the Federal Government took back Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and nationalized it. In the past several months, the Federal Government had their hands on the pulse of the economy.

I really blame all this on the Democrats. Since their rise in power in 2006, they have done nothing to improve the way of life for the American people. From the energy crisis to the credit crisis, Democrats rather want to play politics than to find solutions to the problems that we face.

Today, the market tanked 777 points from the DOW and people are starting to panic, but I believe in this resilient market. It will bounce back once again because it's an election year and these idiots that are representing us are force to show that they have our best interest.

I really would like to see criminal charges given to Senators and Congressmen who are involved with this credit crisis. Senator Dodds and Frank need to go. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi needs to go. Senator Chuck Schumer needs to go. Senator Barack Obama needs to go. These idiots I have mentioned have direct links to the corruption in the sub-prime mortgage debacle. Republicans came to the floor back in 2004 saying that there are unaccountable shenanigans in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. In 2005, McCain presented a bill to reform regulations in these quasi-government agencies, but that failed. Even in the mid-1990's, President Bill Clinton express concern over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and wanted firmer regulation, but Democrats express that there wasn't a problem.

Now it is 2008, the past has caught up with us with a vengeance. This is why we need to stop the problem before it escalates. Because of the stupidity of what the Democrats did in the past, it seems illogical to have the same people representing the Democratic party solve the problem. Case in point, look what happened today. We need change and we need to see it now, but I really do not want to see the Democrat taking any part of it. They have done enough!

My Name Is Senator McCain and Not John and Stop Agreeing Everything I Say
Current mood: sleepy
Category: News and Politics

I have no idea who actually won the debate. Both sides are claiming victory, but honestly, I only see one and that is John McCain. I am not only basing it on substance, but the level of maturity by McCain not to stoop at the same level to Obamas cheap shot is honorable. If you haven't noticed, Obama took aim to be condescending to John McCain by calling the Senator of Arizona by his first name.

There is one pet peeve I detest most of all is when children call their elders by their first name. I also go off the deep end when I hear children call their parents by their first name too. I would love to grab the kid by the arm and give some tough love with the back of my hand. Society has taught our kids not to respect authority. This is one example of that and such practice need to cease.

Sorry to digress, but when I see Obama, who is 47 years of age, calls John McCain by his first name, I just want to cringe. That is a sign of showing disrespect to a man whose credentials exceed any experience the junior senator from Illinois could ever bestow. I like how McCain keep is head focus toward the moderator without ever glancing toward Obamas direction.

I was also annoyed by Obama interrupting McCain as he spoked and raising his hand to get the moderator's attention like he needed to go to the bathroom. I had to roll my eyes when Obama kept looking at his watch like he had to be somewhere. I had to laugh out loud when Obama had to interject after McCain mention he was wearing a color bracelet that Obama wore one too. In fact, Obama didn't know the soldier's name that the bracelet represented until he took a glance at it. I just wish that Obama keep his mouth shut because his stammering and stuttering got increasing apparent as the questions got harder.

I just don't understand why people like Obama. He surely doesn't fit the roll of a leader. Heck, he practically agreed on many stances that McCain took. Throughout the debate, I counted at least eight times that Obama agreed with McCain. Obama said:

"I think Senator McCain's absolutely right that we need more responsibility…"

"Senator McCain is absolutely right that the earmarks process has been abused…"

"He's also right that oftentimes lobbyists and special interests are the ones that are introducing these…requests…"

"John mentioned the fact that business taxes on paper are high in this country, and he's absolutely right…"

"John is right we have to make cuts…"

"Senator McCain is absolutely right that the violence has been reduced as a consequence of the extraordinary sacrifice of our troops and our military families…"

"John — you're absolutely right that presidents have to be prudent in what they say…"

"Senator McCain is absolutely right, we cannot tolerate a nuclear Iran…"

So, the questions should be posed in the manner what Fred Thompson said, "Do you know everything about the man you are voting for and can you trust that person to lead the USA?" The answer is not that hard to figure out because it is not above your pay grade.

Democrats Conceded to the GOP to Allow Offshore Drilling to Expire
Current mood: ecstatic
Category: News and Politics

Leadership is the ability to back up words with action. That is what John McCain has done by suspending his campaign and head to Washington to work with his colleagues to fix this financial crisis. Obama, on the other hand, says that Washington can call him if they need him, while being insistent that Friday's debate will continue on. I guess Obama forgot he is a Senator and is needed in Washington to help fix this mess. I see his priorities are still skewed.

Anyway, there is a bright light this week that the MSM has not made any headway to report to the American people. Today, Democrats in Congress will allow the moratorium on offshore drilling to expire on Oct 1, 2008, without any resistance. This is significant in ending a 26-year-old ban that was in effect since 1982.

It was revealed that both Democrat Majority Lead Reid and House Speaker Pelosi realized that they do not have enough votes to overturn a veto by the President. Therefore, thanks to the grassroots of Newt Gingrich and his "Drill Here, Drill Now, and Pay Less at the Pump" movement, the GOP has won the fight. In fact, the recently passed energy bill from the House of Representatives and the energy proposal from the "Gang of 20" was dropped allowing the ban to expire next week without a hitch.

This ending to the ban will forbid the US Minerals Management Service from spending tax payers money on anything related to offshore oil and gas leasing. Their primary role now will be only conducting environmental studies and introducing new leasing plans for oil and gas. Critics say that any new leasing will not produce anything in 5-10 years, but the markets will react differently. Mainly, the price of oil is base on future contracts. Therefore, if the price of future contracts on the purchase of a barrel of oil is low, then it will reflect positively at the pumps. In other words, we will see lower prices at the gas pumps.

This will not mean seeing oil rigs popping up everywhere, but it will allow oil rigs that were shut down a quarter century ago to restart production once again.

Finally! There is some good news that we can be happy about.

I LOVE JOE BIDEN
Current mood: amused
Category: News and Politics

I love Joe Biden. From the moment when Obama announced that Biden will be his running mate, I grinned from cheek to cheek. I couldn't believe that Obama pass over Hillary Clinton, who garnered 18 million votes, for a pompous elitist like Joe Biden.

My anticipation to hear Joe Biden gaffes was satisfied on the first night when Joe introduced Obama to begin the campaign the Obama/Biden ticket. Biden said, "Let I introduce you to Barack AMERICA!" LOL. What an idiot, but that doesn't stop there. Just today, Biden opened his mouth to say the idiotic as he tried to give his version of history about FDR and the Great Depression on CBS Evening News. During the interview, I'm quite surprise that nobody corrected his multiple inaccuracies on American history.

Then later in Ohio, Biden was caught saying that "NO COAL PLANTS HERE IN AMERICA." Biden said that he supports clean coal for China, but not for the USA. Of course trying to pander to a group of antipollution supporters, Biden said, "No coal plants here in America," he said. "Build them, if they're going to build them, over there. Make them clean." Ironically, just three days ago, in Castlewood, Virginia to a crowd of United Mine Worker's of America annual fish fry, absentminded Joe said that he praised the possibilities of the usage of coal. Biden said, "You know we have enough coal in the United States of America to meet out needs domestically for the better part of the next hundred to 200 years."

I will not deny that Biden, as once told to a reporter, that he is the most educated man alive with a higher IQ than the average man. Well, I cannot dispute that because it is well beyond my pay grade. At least one thing is for certain, one may be the most intelligent man alive, but surely can say the stupidest thing.

So, I guess Pennsylvania and other coal mining states will side with the McCain/Palin ticket, since Biden seems adamant that coal is going to kill us. With Pennsylvania as one of the battleground states very important to this election, Obama gaffes about "small town America clinging to their guns and Bible," and Biden gaffes about "no coal plants in America" will cost them dearly and most possible the White House! YAY!

USA Wins the Ryder Cup Without Tiger
Current mood: happy
Category: Sports

On Sunday, September 21, 2008, we can enjoy two exciting historical events. On this day, the New York Yankees defeated Baltimore Orioles 7-3 on the last game to be played at the stadium that Ruth built - Yankee Stadium.

Another remarkable day is that the United States defeated Europe 16 ½ to 11 ½ at the Ryder Cup. It has been eight years to see this day realized that America has the stomach to win for pride and honor. It also shows that Tiger was not an issue in this victorious romping against the Europeans. This contest was not decided on one hole nor one particular match, but it was the first time I actually saw teamwork than individuals trying to outshine another.

Paul Azinger should be commended in putting a team that successfully work cohesively and harmoniously together. This USA team representing the 2008 Ryder cup is mostly rookies and four captains pick. Each USA golfers are talented in their own right, but their desire winning for a greater purpose than their own self interest is an example that we all should emulate. That is the meaning of Patriotism and that is love of country.

As Tiger sits at home watching the USA winning the Ryder Cup without him, I hope he realizes that being a great individual golfer is not a perfect ingredient winning something greater than his own self interest. I bet deep down this will be a stigma for Tiger Woods and he knows it. To be the greatest player in the world, one needs to be a great individual player and a great team player. Nichalus, Palmer, Hogan, Jones, Nelson, and Hagen are great golfers, who have a strong affinity as a team player. That is something Tiger needs to develop if he wants to be the greatest golfer of all time.

The problem with Tiger Woods is that he is an individual player, whose "selfish" need is to never depend on another player to win. Such idealism prevents Tiger to be a team player in situations that he would not be comfortable or be within his comfort zone. We have seen in past Ryder cups the frustration in Tiger Woods to put up with a partner who may bring him down.  Since it's me, me, me golf game, Tiger will never be happy if his partner doesn't put in a 150% performance that Tiger expects upon him.

Another problem is thinking how the partner of Tiger Wood's feel. Imagine how demanding Tiger expects him to perform. It would be such a pressure that would be overwhelming added upon the fact that Tiger's partner is playing an intense event like the Ryder Cup.

Lastly, it's the camaraderie. It is a historical fact that these Europeans play many events together on a weekly base and the camaraderie is family like compare that to the USA team. The USA team is a group is guys who play purely on an individuality. Many USA golfers use the I-pod to escape into their own private world and the locker room has a very stoic atmosphere. This is a major contrast to the Europeans, who drink beer together, eat dinner together, and hang out together on a regular base. This closeness was the ingredient that made them successful for all these years.

In this year Ryder Cup, Paul Azinger was able to capture the right chemistry between players. Not so much with complementing each others game, Azinger assigned the USA team base on friendship and comfort level. By leaving their egos outside the golf course, the USA team took honor and pride for the USA as their number one priority above everything else. To lose in defeat is humiliating, and while others think it may define their career, to win the Ryder Cup is a career achievement.

Congrats USA! Listen up Tiger! If you want to be regarded as one of the greatest player to play this game, you also need to demonstrate as a team player and also a team leader to show your greatness, which I have my serve doubts.

To be Patriotic You have to give MORE in Taxes
Current mood: mad
Category: News and Politics

Biden calls paying higher taxes a patriotic act...

STRAIGHT FROM DRUDGE.

Biden is an idiot. This is coming from a man who made $2.5 million in the past 10 years and contributed only $3600.00 towards charity. It seems he is overly generous with your money instead of his. What a great guy!
