Greetings everyone! Damien and I are now in Sudan. Everything was going GREAT in Syria but then the elders of the village got together and talked and suddenly we found ourselves being chased away by the entire village who all bore flaming torches!  It was a most horrifying experience which one might compare to the moment that Caesar discovered Brutus' betrayal. 

I really don't know why they chased us away but it's all for the best.  Perhaps they didn't like the colors of chalk we used for the hopscotch or maybe they were jealous of Damien's striking good looks.  But we seemed to have stuff good times and a wonderful bonding experience when we taught the tango to the elders' daughters.  It was so good to see those girls come alive they are so often so solemn in their robes and burqas. 

Damien and I fled through the desert and ended up traveling through the Sahara Desert.  What an experience!  There was sand everywhere and I collected some in sixteen little baggies for each of my closest friends.  It got so hot and we got so thirsty that we thought we would surely perish.  Still we walked on and on.  Step after step mirage after mirage.  Thirteen times I thought I saw a Texaco but each time when we reached it we found only a mountain of sand.  Many times I thought of my many pets and of our dear Andy and Celebecca and all her critters and many times I wondered after the state of the Giant Panda.  My lone backpack grew heavy and how I missed my travel spa! We had only been able to grab one backpack each as we rushed out of the burning straw hut in the Syrian village so my spa had been left behind.

The only things that carried me on were Damien's sweet kisses the baby and the thought of everyone at home as well as the beautiful vultures circling above us.  Just when I thought I could not take another step I stumbled down in the sand doons and Damien begged me to get up.  I couldn't even talk I was so thirsty and my mouth was so dry and my throat was so parched.  But suddenly Damien said "Look! Look under your hand!"  So I looked down and there I saw that my hand had landed on a full bottle of coke!  What a sweet sight!  It brought us through until the next day when we reached a small village in Sudan.  I feel so much better now that the locals have hydrated me with mango juice and fed me with falafels.  Things are bad here in Sudan though so we're sneaking over the border to Chad tomorrow.  Renny would be so jealous! She has been wanting to go to Chad for a long time!

Well I need to call Andy and Ren they must be very worried.

Baby Names

Hey everyone!!!  Damien and I are having the most MARVELOUS time!  We live in a remote village.  I have been teaching the women to play hopscotch and Damien's been teaching the men how to assemble those impossible shelf kits that have instructions written by people who don't know English or Arabic.  This has helped a lot with the tensions anger between the Sunnis and Shias.  Now they just hate Damien!  It's wonderful.

Oh hey you all please take my polls for the baby's name.  Damien and I are open to any AWESOME suggestions you have too!  Please post any suggestions in my comments.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

Oh my word! I am so happy!  Damien and I got on the wrong plane and ended up in Syria.  But that's OK.  It is beautiful here.  Of course we haven't left the airport since we haven't gotten our visas cleared to officially enter the country.  We met a man who said his village needs help because they keep fighting with each other because of racial prejudice.  Damien and I have decided to help them.

We know exactly what they need.  I wrote a paper on this when I was at Harvard.  They need something better to do with their time like hopscotch and playing the marimba.  If we teach them such skills as these we will be on the path to world restoration.

I almost forgot about my big announcement!  I took a home pregnancy test and it was positive!  I can't wait to tell Andy but I want to tell him in person. 

Oh snap!  I accidentally left my travel swing set and bathtub in Tanzania!  It will cost a lot to replace those.

I’m Married!!

Hi!  Just a shout out to everyone to tell you that Damien and I are in the JFK airport.  We spent the day in New York City!  We walked through Central Park visited Lady Liberty and Yankee Stadium then we stopped by for a play on Broadway.  Damien wanted to visit the Stock Market on Wall Street but we don't have time so we'll stop by on our way home from Tanzania. 

Well we have to go our flight leaves in a few minutes.  Thank you all for the gifts and coming to our wedding!  Oh and Ren the dandelions in the bouquet were such a sweet touch!  Don't worry about my grandmother her allergy isn't that bad.  She should be out of the hospital in a few weeks.  And about stepping on the train of my dress it's OK.  I could never be mad at my homegirl!  The muddy footprint and the hole from your heel just help me remember that I shared the happiest day of my life with my homegirl!

Wedding Bells!!!!!!! Oh, jitterbug!!!

I'm getting married TOMORROW!!!! I can't believe it!!  Ren's lawyer is so awesome! She got the judge to postpone the trial for a day for my wedding.  *Big sigh of relief!*  I just couldn't get married without my homegirl!

She just called me and said she's on her way after picking up White Fang's tuxedo from the dry cleaners'.  Each cleaner said it would take them two days to clean the who tuxedo so we left each piece of it at a different cleaner's.

Oh, I'm SO excited!!! Renny said her brother's coming, too!  I thought he wouldn't be able to make it since he lives in Steamy Creek, Alabama.

I'm glad we decided to have a really cheap cotton tuxedo made for Andy because he keeps running outside and rolling in the mud.  I keep telling him to wait until tomorrow to wear it but he loves it so much!  I think he really likes the pink color.  Ren's idea; bubblegum pink.  It's so pretty!  My bride's maids' dresses are the same color.

Ren said she's written us a poem that she'll read at the wedding.  I can't wait to hear it.  She's so sweet!

I'm writing a paper on the wonders of love, marriage, and friendship.

I think I'll have it published.  If it's successful I may just hand my company over to someone else!

Ren and Me

I just have to give a shout out to by homegirl Ren.  She is so awesome!  She goes through so much but she always stands up for what she believes in.  I'm a lot like her but I'm really more serious.  She cares about so much I don't know how she does it.  She's better at spelling than I am though.  It's so funny I always start talking like her when I'm around her.  She wants to solve the world's problems and she's got such great ideas and I like to meditate on them.  You know I'm starting to think I don't want to be a CEO anymore.  Damien and I have been talking about it.  I think I would like to go into writing and maybe teaching philosophy.  He thinks I'd be great at it!  He's so sweet!  But he doesn't know anything about philosophy or teaching.  He's a soccer coach and he got Ds in school when we were kids. 

Well my wedding dress looks AMAZING!  Wheee!  I'm so excited!  First being on TV earlier and now getting my wedding dress!!!!
