Daniel's Journal
You can get to Bryan's blog from there as well.
Also- for those of you who have been praying for my Mom- we have some good news-- the tumors have shrunk even more and they are skipping a treatment this round--- so her body can recover from the side effects and because the tumors are so small!
We are pumped about this next week-- DDB is headed back to THEE Camp with Park Cities-- we had a blast last year and are looking forward to another great week!

Chord Charts, Crowns, and Fuge
The last three nights we have been chasing Casting Crowns around California and Arizona. Fortunately we caught up with them in time to open up for them each night! One night we got to meet Justin Unger and he opened up as well, it was fun- he's a worship leader and brought his band from church to play wit him.
Well now we are off to Glorieta, NM. We'll be there for a week with Fuge camp. I call it fuge because I'm not sure if it's centrifuge or Mfuge or another one of their cool camps.
CHORD CHARTS-- many of you have been asking about chord charts. Well, now they are up. simply go to our website (www.danieldossband.com) and click on "media" and then "chord charts".
Let us know if you have any questions! Thanks! DD
ps- you can read more about this week at my blog-- go to our site and click on "journal"

back in town
Category: Life
Hey guys,
Just got back in town to the boro. Me and kari were in Knoxville with my family this weekend for a family wedding shower my Parents through us. Being off tour now, I got to relax and hand with the fam and some of our close freinds. Between goin to Dollywood, seein my loved ones, gettin cool presents, trout fishin wit my lil bro, and eatin lots of good food, me and Kari gettin to be with the fam was the best of it all. I actually got to sit down with Dad one night and talk about my Nana (his Mom) who passed away around ten years ago. It lead to me gettin to tell him how thankful I am about the sacrifices he an Mom made to raise me.About how thankful I am of the selflessness they have lived out and continue to live out in their lives today. I told Dad thinkin about bein a dad myself one dya is scary, cause its hard to believe I could ever be the father he is. Him and Mom have truly been an example of Christ in my life, and everyone else around them. We cried, hugged, laughed, all the good stuff. They are and have been one of God's biggest tools in teachin me how to love. I cherish that gift.
If there is someone in your life like that, tell them thanks. Bless them with the truth of what they meen to you. I am sure it it will get to their heart. Love you guys too. Joe

Answered Prayers!!!
Hey everyone... Daniel here--I am so excited to let everyone know about my mom! As many of you have heard and read about in previous blogs, she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer a few months ago. They gave little chance for the chemo to work and even said not doing any treatments was a reasonable option. She chose to try the treatments.
Well, she got some great news today. Her tumors have shrunk by 95%!!! So many of you have been praying- we praise God for answering our prayers. The tumors are still not small enough to operate on, but hopefully they will be after the next two treatments.
Ya know, it’s really cool to see DDB’s music reach so many people, but it pales to seeing my mom’s health improve.
God bless you all, Daniel

Rehearsing and Hanging out
Hey- Daniel here-- I have to tell you- I have a blast hanging out with these guys. We had a rehearsal Tuesday night and Wednesday here at my house and we had a blast. I'm looking forward to being with these guys on the road more and more.
We played RISK Tuesday night after we finished and I have to give props to Bryan-- he won. We play "mission" risk so it doesn't take as long and you don't have to conquer the whole world- just your mission.
I'd like to know some of your favorite board/card games? I'm always looking for something new!
DD
ps- we just got the new album delivered in the mail-- we can't wait for you to see and hear it!!!

Rock Band vs Guitar Hero
Current mood: rockin
Category: Games
Hey all, Bryan here.
I have played both Guitar Hero and Rock Band but I only own Guitar Hero. I had very high hopes for Rock Band because I love Guitar Hero so much. There are certain aspects of each that I do like better. It is obviously more fun to get a band together and play Rock Band. You have you and 3 other people jamming out. I find the interfaces to be cumbersome and the notation on the screen lacking in Rock Band. I realize they had to build it from the ground up, but I like the notes and graphics on Guitar Hero much better. I also like the feel of the guitar on Guitar Hero better.
Rock Band does a really good job with the drums though. What I mean is, if you were not a drummer at all and then played Rock Band, once you mastered it you could go sit down on a set and be worlds ahead of someone who was just starting out. There are some similarities between the Rock Band drums and real drums.
I vote for Guitar Hero. It is better. What do you like better?

testify
Category: Life
Hey guys, Joe here. Just got done playin a round of Tiger Woods golf with my roommates. I came into my bedroom and turned my tv to a show about building dams. I always wandered how they get those things built, so I watched the last few minutes with great interest. One thing I caught was this machine they have that drills through the canyon. It drills 125 feet per day. That seems pretty slow, but thats through rock and stone. It will take the drill 3 YEARS to make it through. Wow! I started to think about the men working that drill. They don't huff around and complain that it will take 3 years to dig. They just dig cause the boss says to, and they understand he knows what he's doin. The boss knows that 3 years from now the drillinn, diggin, scoopin and buildin will pay off, and a huge wall will hold back tons of water for miles, and will be an important power source for the communities around. My point? God sees the big picture, and sometimes in life he may tell us to "drill here" or "dig there". We may not understand why at the time, but if we just do what he says, even if it doesn't make a lick of sense to us,God knows what it will lead to on down the road. He sees the big picture. Wrapping up, we would like to hear some testimonies of seasons in your life where God has asked you to dig. Were you obedient? Did you ever see the big picture come to pass. Maybe you are still diggin. We would love to here real life stories from you guys about your step by step journeys. Please write us. Love you guys(and gals) Joe

Writer’s strike over??!!
I (Daniel) am so excited about the writer's strike coming to an end!!! Anyone else 'amen' that?
I'm tired of going to my DVR and finding reruns being taped week after week-- I'm ready for something new. Personally I'm ready for some fresh Office action-- and sometimes I dig "My Name Is Earl"- however this season has definitely been lacking.
Emily was so cool and taped the Grammy's-- I watched it late last night-- some pretty cool moments. It was the 50th annual- so they made light of past award winners and legends in the music world. I was impressed with how they treated the older artists. They honored them well. I believe there is much to be learned from those who have gone before us.
So- what shows are you ready to see with some new material?
