8 Diagrams...pretty damn good
Current mood: amused
Note: Not the final album cover
I got the new Wu-Tang Clan album in the mail today (HURRAY!), and I've been listening to it non-stop to see what I truely think of it. Overall, it's pretty good. Not as great as I hyped myself for it to be (the crew's first main album in years, c'mon now!), but it's still worth listening to. It's a hell of a lot better than "Iron Flag," that's for damn sure. It's just a little odd to hear the clan spit rhymes on other producer's beats on a main group album. The last track however, Life Changes (the ODB tribute) is really deep, and actually had me tears when I first heard it and listened to the lyrics. RZA's tracks are awesome as usual, but the others are mediocre at best. It's a solid release which is definitely an improvement from past efforts. Still, the more recent Clan solo projects are much better than this, hell even the "Indie Culture" album was better than this, which is just a shame.
Plus some of the tracks released online that were supposed to be on the album never made it to the final product. They recorded more than 40 tracks for it anyway, and only 14 made it on the album (excluding the store exclusives). Why couldn't they just make it a 2 disc set like the Forever album? Oh well, we'll just have to wait for their next outing I guess. Oh yeah by the way, the DVD that the album comes with is nothing new. It's just old interview and concert footage mashed together with horrible audio quality. Word has it that Ghostface and Raekwon will be behind a new clan family project without the RZA. I'm anxious to see how that turns out. If you ever get the chance, check out the tracks "Unpredictable," "Rushing Elephants," "Wolves" and "The Heart Gently Weeps." Now that this is out, I can look forward to Cuban Linx II and the MF DOOM/Ghostface collaboration.
If you haven't done so yet, be sure to check this out. A couple of weeks ago I got interview by the folks over at The Midnight Podcast. We discussed the history of the HF myspace page, website, our BIT PARTS contest and horror movies in general. It was a lot of fun, I suggest you download the sucker:
Why I've been so weird lately
Current mood: worried
I think I've found the cause of my stress; it's the coffee. I was perfectly fine today. Nothing worrying me, nothing at all. Lost some sleep so I was very tired this morning. Got home, went online, did some website work, talked to a wonderful friend on the phone and took a four hour nap. Took a shower when I woke up, no big deal. That is until I poured myself a cup of coffee. I started to twitch and feel like shit again. I can easily link the caffiene to the times where I felt like crying. I think that's what it is. I really should lay off the coffee. It doesn't even keep me away anymore. I've adapted to it where I feel like I need it at least once a day, to keep my sanity going. It's just causing me to worry about stupid shit. I already feel like I've ruined certain things. I should stop now before it gets worse.
Special Ops Media is sending me copies of the new Godzilla DVDs. Along with the original black and white classic Gojira, I'll be getting Godzilla Raids Again and Mothra Vs Godzilla. WOO HOO!

Operation: Doomsday

Call me crazy but I never got to see this movie until now. Of all of Cronenberg's movies, this was one I hadn't watch, or remembered. Maybe I watched it when i was really young. Some of it did seem pretty familiar, so maybe it's just been a long time. None the less, it's a good movie. This will probably go on my review. I recently purchased that Stephen King set which features the latest editions of The Dead Zone, Pet Sematary, Silver Bullet and Graveyard Shift. I was in a King mood when I ordered it, I blame that on the 1408 trailer. I even ordered that book the short story is on - Everything's Eventual. I can't wait to read it.
King and Cronenberg make a wonderful combination. With Stephen's stories and David's direction, you can't go wrong. The Dead Zone is one of those movies that I think was ahead of its time. I call it a horror film, many out there consider this to be a horror film. But it's not your traditional horror movie. Call if offbeat if you must, I call it suttle. Suttle to where everything is bright, snowy and pleasing to the eye. Christopher Walken is a good actor. I just can't help but think that he acts the same way in all of his movies. But that's what I love about him and his acting. Not to mention his facial expressions show so much more emotion than dialog could ever hope to accomplish.
After watching The Dead Zome and going through all the bonus features, I have a clear understand of the movie and the differences between Stephen King's novel and David Cronenberg's film. The man is a genius in his own right. He took King's story and made it his own. Before that David had directed movies that he wrote himself. So having the opportunity to direct from someone elses script, it was great to see that he did such a fine job. The movie is pretty different from the novel. That's his style, he betrays the book to bring us a pleasurable viewing experience. He did the same thing with the Fly. He made it different, and that's what I loved about it. The same thing applies here. The Dead Zone is a unique viewing experience that you should not miss.
Now I'm the mood for Scanners. The image of that exploding head is stuck to my brain.

I noticed that most of the fan boys out there are having a fun time presenting their Mii's to their circle of friends, so I went online and did a re-creation of my very own Mii. This isn't exactly what it looks like on my console since it's much better on the Nintendo system, but it's a funny looking image. Those of you that have your Wiis online, send me your console number so we can swap messages! Soon I'll be able to kick your asses online.
The Flaming Chicken (Aqua Teen Movie)
Current mood: hyper
Holy shit, I can't wait to see this movie! Just when I thought the show was fucking hilarious, out comes the trailer for the upcoming movie "AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE COLON MOVIE FILM FOR THEATRES". The flaming chicken in the trailer sold me right away, that bit is too fucking hilarious. I don't know why either, that's the sad thing. I just find it extremely funny.
I love Supernatural, I honestly believe that this is the best horror related program on television right next to Masters of Horror. I enjoyed the hell out of the first season. Whoever writes this stuff is great, Supernatural is a well written show that continues to impress viewers (like myself) every week. In each episode the characters encounter a different type of horror entity. They've even encountered the Fisherman (you know the guy in the raincoat with the hook?) in an episode. Each episode is dramatic and entertaining. Some of it is even pretty violent.
I missed so much of the second season, but luckily it's one of those shows that recaps everything in the beginning so that way you'll know what's going on. I just caught the new episode earlier tonight and the Winchester brothers encountered another Shapeshifter, much like the one in the first season. Only this Shapeshifter was a lot quicker, and took the forms of its victims to make it seem like they commited suicide after being involved in a crime.
This show is just great, I'm glad that I set a weekly reminder for it. Now I get to see each new episode that comes on. Linda Blair is also in the second season. Seeing her on TV just makes the show even more watchable. In the preview for next weeks episode it seems like the brothers will encounter an angel, or some god like figure. I can't wait! I still need to buy the first season on DVD.

Danzig 2: Lucifuge
By
Danzig
Release date: 11 August, 1998
I actually feel great tonight, even though I had to sit through an hour of cheese. The Feeding is just another direct to video waste. Werewolf movies like these make me appreciate "The Howling" and "An American Werewolf in London" a lot more. I should have recommended these movies to Michelle for Lionsgate, she probably would have had a ball with these. They're right up her alley when it comes to a cheesy good time. I should send Lions Gate her address.
Anywho, I'm taking screenshots from the movie right now. My review will be a negative as usual, but I'm surprised. Usually I'm in a foul mood afterwards, right now I feel great. There's something about The Feeding that made it at least entertaining. It's a horrible film but it didn't leave me in a horrid mood. Maybe it was just the delcious cup of coffee that I had. That could be it, otherwise I wouldn't be smiling right now. God I need to take some new pictures. I've evolved since my default pic. Right now I look like Wolverine. Maybe I just need to shave.
OOOOH, I downloaded the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past today. I was looking at IGN today and they mentioned that Nintendo attached Link to the Past on the virtual console. The VC store is updated every monday, usually there are 3 new games a week. Today only the SNES Zelda was released. That's more than enough for me. I downloaded that bad boy right away! This game brings back so many wonderful memories.
The game is just as great as it was back then. I always called it the best Zelda game ever created. Maybe not, but it sure is my favorite one in the bunch. Now I have to continue waiting for Castlevania 3 and Contra: Alien Wars. Dracula is in for another spanking.
Tartan Video sent me a new movie today. It's called DIVERGENCE. It doesn't hit stores until the 30th of January, next week. Maybe I'll try and review this one quickly. I like reviewing movies before they come out. Im just dissapointed that it's not a horror film. This is an action movie that recieved 4 Hong Kong Academy Awards. It's gotta be good then right? We'll see once I review it. In the meantime, enjoy my negative review for that crap they call The Hitcher remake.

I actually feel great today! I got some sleep, well actually I got about ten hours of sleep, but it's better than waking up at 1 or 2 during the day. I woke up at 8 and decided to sleep a little bit longer. My neck started to hurt when I woke up but it went away and now I feel fantastic. The coffee even tastes good today. I had a weird phone call last night, from a couple of lovely ladies who seem to dig my voice.
I'm reaching out to the world today which is a good sign. I'm not kicking myself today either. For the last couple of days I've felt like a total loser. Right now I just want to sit down, enjoy my coffee and work on the site. Hopefully nothing will bother me today. I'm in too good of a mood to let stupid shit get me over. We may start shooting this Wensday for my friends next project. It's about time I get my foot through the door.

Most of you have already noticed the changes that I've gone through. For the past month or so I've been asking myself why. Why I feel the way I do. I've had nothing but complete disrespect for the human race (still do). I've pretty much said FUCK YOU to the ones that put me down. Used, abused and now obnoxious. My attitude is poor. I put fake smiles on at work. I rarely call anyone. I day dream of killing those that annoy me. I'm even talking different.
At this point, a lot of people annoy me. It could be you, but I'm not giving out names. That's just plain rude. I've given up on the human race. Don't worry, I'm still a nice guy. I'm still respectful. But if I don't agree with your look on things, then you can just kiss my ass. I've already given up on human beings. Excluding my family, real friends and business associates. Unlike most of you, they're real.
People can be so fucking stupid. I was insecure with a lot of bullshit, and I was afraid with changes. Now I'm learning to deal with them, my own way. I'm no longer here for small talk. I'm here to do business. If I have no business with you, then you're as good as dead to be. I'm not here to fuck around or make imaginary friends. I'm not bothering myself with long distance drama, it's all bullshit anyway. I'm not day dreaming anymore. Instead, I'm focusing on myself, and my future. I'm evolving with the times.
I've already changed my skin, my look, my thoughts, my faith and my heart. I'm finding new ways to blow off steam, in a healthy way. I'm not a fan of tobacco, but I'm up for any place that has drinks. That's not healthy, sure, but what do you care. I can control myself. My mask of sanity is no longer slipping. I have full control of my life. I know what I want and know what I have to do to get there. I know for a fact that I have to make some sacrafices. In the end it will all be worth it.
My picks for Best Horror Films of 2006
Current mood: happy
If you follow my website then you've already seen my list, but if you haven't then just go to Horror-Fanatics.com to see what I (and the other staff) have picked as our best horror films of 2006! If you're wondering what my number one pick is, it's THE DESCENT. I love that fucking movie.
I beat Super Castlevania 4 today! I spent a great amount of time into the game, and I finally beat it. The last two levels were pissing me off, but boy did I provail. Dracula got a taste of my whip and cross! That's for damn sure
