          I remember when I first got on myspace and started blogging and reading blogs, my partner Tammie put up a blog about people using the race card.  You know the routine,  I can't advance at my job, I got pulled over, I can't do whatever it is I need to do, because of racism!   Although I think she had a valid point, I've been on the other end of that arguement too many times and have a different point of view.  I know from my own personal experience that racism is more than just about skin color.  Its culture, economics, generation gap, and yes skin color.  Its actually a host of issues, some people just plain hate, and can't understand, think or even want to think outside their box.   Basically people like to hate other people.  But knowing, and knowing how to put it into words  is sometimes another story, thats why its taken me so long to write this blog. 

Now don't get me wrong, there are plenty of people that can, and will use the race card to explain why they couldn't succeed (or why they got caught).  So how do you really determine when something is wrong or if its just the person is just an asshole trying to get out of (or into) something?   The answer lies in how the individual views their race/culture.  If you make complaints about rap music and your in an urban area with a lot young blacks.  Guess what?  You are most probably gonna get called racist.  Why?  Because those kids most probably associate rap with being young and black.  The same goes with speech (yes its time we understand ebonics as a dialect of the american language).  There are some of you that are reading this like there is no american language.  If you don't think there is then go to england and ask any true englishman what language americans speak.  American is a dialect of english, which has long since broken spun off into other dialects.  I agree that there should be one standard taught in schools, but I'll leave that part for another blog. 

As for me and how this whole subject has effected me.  Well I work with an older, white, heavily consertative man that has no idea of how fucked up some of the things he says are.  There was a time we were listening to the radio ( he likes to listen conservative republican talk radio), and the topic was about muslims.   The guy on the radio when on to rant about muslims and so did my co-worker.  Oh and my co-worker has long known that I have some Islamic religous beliefs.  When I said "hey you know I share some of their beliefs"  he commented with well you are the anomally, you're one of the few muslims that isn't trying to be a terrorist, muslims suck and all they want to do is kill americans.   Not to mention some other questionable things he has said.  In my mind I'm thinking this racist motherfucker, do you even think about the millions of muslims world wide that are peace loving, good people.  Having heard various complaints in my work life about people using the race card, I've tried to be patient and understanding, but there is only so much you can tolerate.   Sometimes I don't know if he knows he is being racist or if he thinks he is just being a good american,  or just plain doesn't give a fuck. 

As sad as it is, this is the type of thing that is going on in work places all over america.  Blacks and other non whites, taking shit at work that they shouldn't have to.  Whites scared to take disciplinary because they are scared.  And all thats needed is a good conversation.  Ok I'm going to sleep now.

This years FFL

An observation

I’ve started to notice that I’ve got some rather questionable "friends" on my friend list.  The one thing they have in common is comment approval.  I’ve always thought that having comment approval was kind of shady, after all only your friends can leave comments, so why would you want to approve comments unless you have a fear of getting exposed or getting called out?  Have any of you ever wondered the same thing?

An open mind

You ever hear some older people talk about how rap sucks and they’ll never listen to it.  What about the inner city kid that only listens to hip hop and says that rock sucks.  Neither of these people can usually recall any songs or have even willingly listened to anything other than what they have been accustomed to.  If you listen closely to most types of music I’m pretty sure you can find something in any genre.  Some genres are so close to each other what its called is only a matter of perception.  The reason someone like Justin Timberlake can crossover from pop to r&b is because the pop he was doing with InSync wasn’t too far from r&b in the first place.  I think the only reason the music industry divides into so many different categories is to let us know how stupid we all are. 

Get where I’m coming from?  Its way more than just music, it’s politics, it’s religion, it’s education, it’s sewn into the fabric of so many people it’s ridiculous.  There are just too many people in the world that are just brainwashed.  You may know some of them.  They are the people that the minute you bring up an idea that is contrary to what they believe, they begin to immediately get defensive, sometimes to the point of anger or even violence.  There are whole cultures of people that are programmed.  I guess we all are to some extent.  Our parents, teachers, religous leaders,etc.,  they program their younger generation to think, believe and act like the way they think things are or should be.  Every now and then some people like to break the mold and think differently.  When they try to teach others what they have learned, they are often ridiculed.  Like for example once upon a time there was a man named Christopher Columbus, who thought contrary to the common belief that the world was flat, instead he thought it was round.  You should know the rest of that story.  So what would you do if someone called you out on something you believed in, something you strongly believe in?  Would you be strong enough and/or open enough to listen to what they have to say, or would you immediately dismiss it.  Would you show your weakness of closed mind, or should I say the strength of your programming. 

I would like to encourage everyone that reads this blog to pay close attention to the quote in the beginning.  Especially with this years presedential election.  Research all candidates before you vote.  The worst thing you can do as a registgered votered is be so tied to any one political party that you can’t see the fact that no matter who gets elected some things are just meant to be.  National health care is on the way (and it was jump started by  republicans).  And a special shout out to all bloggers,  Please research your blogs more before you post, some of y’all are slack as .............  Just get your shit right before I have to call you out.  This includes my friends.

Sexual fantasies

I was listening to Preston and Steve of wmmr in Philadelphia this morning and they were talking about the top ten female sexual fantasies.  Of course I was listening closely so I could pick up a tip or two.  There were a few on the list that surprised me, but most didn't.  I've talked about this very same subject to a few different women, so I've already heard lots of stories.  Well anyway I got to thinking what would my utlitmate fantasy be and what I thought of the entire thing, so I decided to put the list in a blog and share it with all of you (yeah I know like that many people read my blog anyway).  So here is the list with what I think in parenthesis.  At the end of it I'll give you my fantasy and you can tell me what you think.  You can also share your fantasy if you dare.  Just remember nothing on my page is private, not my blog, not my profile, NOTHING.  So what you put in here the world will be able to see.

10. Strangers in the night
Many women relish the idea of meeting up with a mystery man and going to some no-name motel with him for a wild night of uninhibited sex. Sometimes women feel like the only people they can truly let loose with are strangers simply because they won't be judged. And who cares anyway? (This is one that really doesn't surprise me at all.  I think in general most woman would like to have good sexual encounters without the threat of being called a slut or ho, and without being tied down.)

Group sex was a popular one among the ladies. "The freedom of being nude in front of a bunch of people who are equally exposed, allowing different men and women to touch and penetrate your body simultaneously is incredibly erotic."

Now don't mistakenly assume that all women want to engage in group intercourse, and gather up all your buddies for your next date (unless, of course, she asks you to).

(Again not surprising and fairly common, as a fantasy that is.)

8. Who's your daddy?
If there's one thing that women are dying to do, it's dominate a man like never before. The creative ideas that flowed from this topic were quite interesting, to say the least. They included:

In today's world of confident women, I was not surprised to learn that many of them fantasize about having an audience whilst engaging in sexual acts with a partner. I guess the idea of knowing that others are getting excited by their "performance" provides them with a feeling of empowerment.

Although most women agreed that they fantasize about having a master, their role in the scenario differed. Whereas some women said that they would surrender to their master's demands, others opposed the idea and said that they would resist and disobey his commands.

Education vs. Intelligence (now open)

                    "There are many intelligent people in the world, there are even more with various talents, but there are only a limited amount of people with discipline, which is why discipline pays more."

             First and foremost let me state this, "my biggest regret in life is that I didn't finish college."  I would also like to add that I am a firm believer and advocate of a formal education.  This blog is not to in any way meant to belittle or make fun of anyone's education or lack thereof. Okay now on to business………….

  Sometimes I wonder about the education system and what it really means.  I know several people (and I'm sure you do too) that on paper, should be some of the smartest people anyone should know.  These people have at least a bachelors' degree and have graduated from some of the best schools you have ever heard of.  But after you start talking to them, and when you start to really get to know them you realize, they are dumb as a rock.   You know the type, went to a private high school, graduated with honors (despite only getting a 600 on the s.a.t.), and subsequently graduated from a well-known credible university.  They may even have gone on to land a great job with a great company.  If they manage to keep the job long term it's usually because ---

a)      It's a family business, and the family knows how stupid you are

b)      They like to keep you around the office as eye candy

c)      You're banging the boss

I'll give you some examples.

 I have a friend who despite having a business management degree cannot properly make a decent resume and has only managed to get as far as being the manager of a McDonalds, and makes about 10 an hour.  This is especially stupid because we all know that there are many ways to get a resume done that don't include you doing it yourself. 

Another friend from a while ago, was disappointed that her little sister was allowed to graduate high school with a b+ average, then found out she only had a 5^th grade reading level and couldn't fill out a job application.

Then there are the people who never went to college and went to work straight out of high school, they usually get married early and by 30 have already paid off their house and make more money than many more supposedly more educated people (at least on paper).  But as Bobby once replied to me in her blog "well educated can mean a lot of things". I could go on and on but, I'm tired and I hate writing blogs that are too long.  So when you read this tell me what you think, and please give your examples.  I would like to give some kudos to the people that have a masters' degree or better.  Usually (but definitely not all the time) getting a masters' means you have both intelligence and discipline, and I envy you.

Oh and Bobby if you read this Thank You.  Your words made me look at things differently, and I needed that.

Not again

Well those of you that have been around know that last year I made a screen name bet with Kristie Lynn, and lost, because my Eagles pulled a choke job and lost a 24 point lead to the giants.   For a week my name was I love the NY giants.  Well this time it was with my buddy Brando the packer fan.  Go ahead and laugh.  Thats the last time I make a retarded ass bet to change my name.  All I wanna know is ---  If anyone who reads this knows how to return a punt or at least field the ball cleanly, Shit I don't care if all you can do is fair catch the damn thing.   JUST DON'T DROP IT AND GIVE IT TO THE OTHER TEAM!!

A good number

     I was talking to my friend Tori this weekend, when the subject of sex and sex partners came up and she asked me "Hey J what is a good number?"  You see Tori is 30 yrs old, married and has been married since she was 24 and was dating her hubby since 20 or 21.  She admittedly has slept with 10 men in her life and thought that was too large a number.  My answer to the question was 50, seriously 50.  I came up with the number because well most of the people I have talked to about the number of sex partners seems to average about that much.  When I gave Tori my answer she almost went into shock and said that any woman that had that many partners has no respect for herself (which I totally disagree with).  She also said that among her close friends that she has the highest total (I think her friends are a bunch of liars). I say that because she says that most of the men she knows have had 30 or more partners.  In my opinion, in any given geographical area, if the men are having sex with that many people then somewhere, somehow it must even out with the women having the same average.

     Now here is my reasoning for such a large number.  Most people I have talked to about it have spent a good deal of their 20's being single or were 30 something and divorced.  I figure the average single 20 something year old would have at least 5 different partners a year while not in a committed relationship.  I actually think the number is higher for more attractive people, especially those that have a good deal of confidence.  I also have several close friends that are women and most of them have admitted to at least 5 - 10 or more different partners in the past year.  I think about 50% of men are just looking for someone to fuck, and are willing to take on as many partners as they can handle.  

     Anyway I gotta get back to work now.  So tell me readers, what do you think is a good number, and would you even answer the question of how many people have you slept with?  Btw don't even think of asking me unless you feel like getting lied to.  I stopped answering that question many years ago.

How to use porn to get your mojo on

I was recently reading a blog by Carol Marika about porn in the workplace and it made me think about some things. Well the story goes like this.  Some years ago, its been quite a while now, I had a girl over my place for dinner.  I had been wanting to get her over my place for a while and used the old I'm making dinner would you like to come hang out bit.  I guess the fact that she came over said that she had some interest in me anyway.  Well she got there early and I was still cooking so I told her to just go ahead and wait in the living room until I was done.  Normally I would have hidden any incriminating evidence well out of sight before I let any girl into my apartment, but this time I made a big mistake, or what I thought would be a mistake.  I left a playboy magazine on my coffee table!  It was sitting right there, right next to the sports illustrated and all the other magazines I subsribe to, mostly other sports mags.  So when I looked into the living room to see how she was doing, there she was reading the playboy!  I'm thinking to myself you have got to be kidding me, not only was she reading it, but enjoying the pictures.  Then I'm thinking either she's gay or she's a freak, preferrably the later.  Little did I know. Anyway after dinner got served, I got served, if you know what I mean, and having left the playboy out helped me out.  It made it easier to bring up the topic of sex after seeing her interest in the magazine.   

After the success of that date, I started getting ideas, well women like other women almost as much as men do, even if they aren't gay.  So I started leaving the latest issue of playboy out in the open with the other magazines whenevever I had someone over, which at the time was pretty often.  I even started to upgrade to leaving a porn dvd in my movie rack, not too obvious just something that was there if you were looking for a movie.  I have since started leaving out some obscure things on my night stand, like toys and such.  The top drawer of my night stand is where I keep my condoms, its kind of like leaving directions.  So from now on this was my plan of attack.  It made things so much easier.  You know if she's interested in sex because she doesn't mind if you are checking her out while she is checking out your porn.  She may even hint at putting in the "right" movie.  It makes it easy to bring up the subject of sex because its what she is reading/watching.
