My friends and what I think of them...Part 4

This is probably the most drastic change of friends I have gone through since high school.  But now I have some new people in my life who I can add to the old.  Again, I will tell the TRUTH and if it upsets you...oh well.  This blog will be very sappy...sorry, I'm just that kinda guy.  No one has been removed.  The same people from the other list remain.

Elizabeth "Ella"/"Liz" Dowell - I'm so sorry I forgot you!  I feel so bad!! But no anyway, you are my phone buddy!  I love just sitting on the phone talking to for hours about absolutely nothing.  Thank you so much for taking me to Reno so I would know what its like before moving there.  Also thanks for all the advice and support you gave me with different issues.  I know you're going back to Rhode Island, but next summer we are hittin up EDC for sure!!  I don't know what else to say besides I LOVE YOU!!  <3333

John Fitelson - My stepbrother, my comic relief, my best friend.  As you said at Baja Betty's, who woulda thunk that out of all KE member you and I would grow to be best friends.  You ALWAYS make me laugh and put me in a good mood.  You're never a downer or a negative person and you're so fun to party with.  But aside from all that, you also helped me get through one of the most trying emotional periods of my life...something I thought no one would be able to do.  And for that I am forever in your debt.  I can't apologize enough for snubbing you the first time I met you (SORRY KE) but you also taught not to be so shy when I first meet people or I'll be missing out.  Oh yeah and I love how we always say/do things at the same time (even burp).  We're psychically linked.

Reva Vergara - My dance buddy!  Although I was a bit annoyed with you toward the end there, you have quickly grown to be one of my closest friends.  I feel I can tell you anything and you'll accept me for it.  I love how sweet you are and how much you care about others.  (Just dont be so goddamn sensitive!!).  Even though I'm in Reno now, don't think for a SECOND that we're still not just as cool.  And when I come back it'll be just like old times.

Troy - Sorry, I don't know your last name!!  I am rather upset that we didnt get to hang out as much, but come December, you me and John, all day everyday!  Lol jk, but yeah I am proud to have such a cool stepbrother.  You dance like a fool and you really should be on the amateur team.  Its just that simple.  You're so sweet and always think of others and the bond that you and John have always brings a tear to my eye.  Soooo, call me up anytime ya little NIGGA!

Katherine Rose  "Katie" Kimble - My best girlfriend.  Yes we fight.  Yes we bicker, and debate, and what not.  But this girl has been in my life since Day 1!  Ok maybe like 2,500, but still!  Elementary school, middle and high school and even college. You've been there for all of it.  We are living proof that online relationships do in fact work out.  I love how I can pull you out of my pocket and you're always there.  Its very relieving.  And we will be a dynamic duo!

Sabrina Tedpaogo - Sabrina is just one of those people I can see everyday and not get annoyed by them.  We recently (and for the first time) had some drama, but one thing about me is, I don't let people who love drama in their lives come down and try and fuck up my friendships.  So of course we got through it.  She's so intelligent and many people dont know this, sooooo funny.  I will truly miss living around the corner from you.  But when I get back to Cali, we have a date with the barrel.

Dairrick Hodges - In a way, Dairrick is like my best friend.  But not really.  He's actually more like a relative.  Like my cousin or my uncle.  I can tell him ANYTHING at all.  If I told him my ass itched, he would offer to scratch it..ok maybe not.  But still!  I love this guy because unlike most of the people in this world, he keeps it REAL.  100%  I never have to question what I'm getting from him.  I call him almost everyday.  Why?  No clue.  He's never betrayed me and I know that he will be a friend for years to come.

Lady "Joyce" Pace - My long lost sibling.  We are currently experiencing technical difficulties but we are undergoing a routine maintenance.  Repair should be completed in the near future ;-)  One thing I've learned about her is she's gonna be who's she's gonna be (whoever that may be at the time) and I've learned to just accept that.  Sure we arent the Michael and Joyce dynamic duo from 2003 anymore but we will always have a bond.  Always.

Robert "Bobby" Welch - I value everything we've done together, and I truly have fond memories of us and our friendship.  It just saddens me that after all these years, you still can't accept us.  But its ok.  I've moved on and I don't hold it against you.  I still love you, always will, and I wish you nothing but the best.  I just hope when the next Michael comes along, you'll be a little bit more ready to handle it. <3

Alicia "Sissy" Lopez - We need to hang out more.  Period.

Quartez Waits - Ohhhh Quartez.  I have known you longer than any other person who isnt a blood relative.  Its coming up on like 20 years or something lol.  This was my first best friend, and the friendship I've had the longest.  We used to always be at each other's houses playin Sonic and Mario and Mystikal Ninja lol (I bought that game by the way!) and we went everywhere together just like brothers.  Sadly, he moved away when I was in 7th grade and we lost contact for a bit, but thanks to Myspace we talk again.  This guy was like my training for all future friendships I would have.   And my cousins STILL to this day call him "Quar-cheesy" LMAO.

Michele Montgomery - I must say, I will miss bummin around Mesa with you.  You are one of those people where I think if I don't see them for a long time I wont miss them, but then I wake one day and realize I actually do.  I miss you Michele!  And when I come back to California, we are spending a great deal of time together.

Megan Matina - I love Megan and all...but she do not even be callin me.  Lol but its partly my fault, I dont call her either.  But now that you got a sidekick, we're gonna be AIM buddies!  Yes we are!

Jamie Rae Czbas - Two words.  Over.  It.

My friends and what I think of them PART 3!!

My view of my friends has drastically changed so I have edited this.  I am going to tell the TRUTH.  If the truth pisses you off...get over it.  No one has been removed.  The same people from the other list remain.

Robert "Bobby" Welch - I honestly dont care anymore what everyone says/thinks.  People often ask me why we're friends and what is it that gives us such a strong friendship.  The answer is: the time we have together.  I have seen/experienced/done more shit with this guy than any other person in the world.  We are constantly teaching each other and showing each other the greatness of the world.  He is the ONLY person who I feel TRULY understands what everyone else wrote off as bullshit.  He is the most important person in my life and I am his and our friendship only goes stronger.  We may fight sometimes, he may be annoying as fuhhhh occasionally, but at the end of the day we know that what we have is what the haters can't touch and even though he's kinda far now, the chain hasnt weakend.  Thank you, Silver Haze

Alicia "Sissy" Lopez - Reunited and it feels so good!  Lol she is such a beautiful person and is always smiling and never seeks to hurt anyone.  Me and Bobby are constantly lookin out for her cause she's our nig yo.  She's also one of my favorite people to smoke with.  I see nothing but greatness for this lady.  Being around her always makes me very happy and I wish nothing but the best for her.

Lady "Joyce" Pace - My long lost sibling.  We are currently experiencing technical difficulties but we are undergoing a routine maintenance.  Repair should be completed in the near future ;-)

Michele Montgomery - CABAZON WAS SOOOOO MUCH FUN! I will admit, Michele really irritates me sometimes.  But I love the gal.  She is what keeps me sane at Mesa College.  But this is one girl I will never piss off.  She's pretty effin tuff.  But on the flip side, she's very sweet and always likes to help others.  Her style is wicked cool and her spunk is priceless.  Go ROBIN!

Megan Matina - I am soooooooooo proud of this bitch.  So proud.  Talk about an upgrade.  I remember being so scared for Megan thinking she would always be down.  But this bitch got on her two feet, got a job, a car, money in the bank, AND went back to school.  Thats what I'm talking about!  Megan keep doin you and dont EVER let anyone knock yo hustle.

Sabrina Tedpaogo - The Mario fanatic.  This is one of the only people I can still hold an intelligent conversation with in this town. Another smoke buddy of mine.  The boring times we share just lounging at my house are actually very entertaining.  All those burritos.  All those video games lol.  Sabrina is a very very fun girl in a very non exciting way if that makes any sense?

Dairrick Hodges - All I can say is...he's Dairrick.  He is what he is.

Katherine Rose  "Katie" Kimble - Betcha didnt think I knew your name did ya?  I put you on here because yes we were never SUPER close but you and I have been pretty good friends since Mr. Patton (or Mrs Norman, I cant remember) and these online chats we've been having everyday are highly enjoyable.  You really are a smart and helpful person and I never thought I would confide in you, but now you're one of the first people I go to.  You know so much about music which automatically give you 1,000,000 kool points and I just love having you around.  Thanks for just being YOU!  And dont EVER let some guy kill your spunk or make you feel less of what you are.  You are great

Jamie Rae Czbas - Oh lord, what am I gonna do with this one?

My friends and what I think of them

I decided that I am going to edit this nonsense because my opinions of my friends have DRASTICALLY changed.  So check out my PART 2 of this blog.

Lady "Joyce" Pace - I am starting with Joyce because she is the one I have maintained a friendship with the longest.  I have known this broad since 4th muthafuckin grade.  And damn.  We have been through some shit.  We've grown together, laughed, cried (well she did lol), and even hated.  But through all the storms and rifts we encounter I know she will always be my friend until the day I die.  As much as this annoys the hell outta me at times, I accept it and I'm trying to be thankful for it.  I'm stuck with her and I'm sure its for a good reason.  So this is for my blasian.  HOLLA!

Michele Montgomery - I remember the first time I ever saw Michele was in 9th grade in Mr. Hayes' World History class (which I got a D in btw) and she was sitting in a corner table looking oh so sinister with a tie.  So I approached her and said "Oh so we're going for the Avril look are we?" and she replied with something along the lines of "Actually I hate Avril Lavigne and she deserves to die."  Ohhhh Michele.  Little did I know she would grow to be one of my closest buds.  I feel like she is taken for granted alot and people just don't understand her.  Well I do.  She has never done anything to harm me, I've never been mad at her for an extensive amount of time, and she's just so fun to be around.  And college just wouldnt be the same without my smoke buddy. I <3 you Freckles!

Megan Matina - Oh my little bacon daddy!  Me and Michele go waaay back to the sandbox.  And I wish I could see her more often than I do, and I know she THINKS I don't like her, but damn I love me some Megan.  I remember I spent the day with her at Earth Day recently and I had so much fun.  Megan is one of the nicest, caring people I know and she's always willing to put herself before others, which is something that I have a hard time doing.  I have so much love for her and want nothing but the best.  And one thing I love about Megan is, she will MODE yo ass into OBLIVION.  And if you can mode, we can be friends.

Sabrina Tedpaogo - Yes nigga I spelled your name right!  I used to like this girl.  And wouldn't you know she met me because she thought I was gay, how ironic.  I met her in 10th grade chemistry with Miss Edwards (another class I failed btw) and me and her just bonded I guess.  She is one of the most intellectual people I know, and she may not be conventionally beautiful but the presence she has is striking and strong and was one of the main things about her I latched onto.  She's just a great person and I can always talk to her about anything.  And she can fight to boot!  I will never forget the say she knocked the fuck outta Lynn and I saw her in the offic icing her knuckles like a pimp.  OMG CLASSIC!!

Robert "Bobby" Welch - This man has put me through more shit bad AND good than any non-family member I've ever met.  He has shown me things that I NEVER in a MILLION years would have seen or wanted to try if it weren't for him.  And no I don't just mean drugs ya stupid fucks.  The person that I am today is largely due to him, because I feel like he kept pushing me to be a better person because he knew I could be.  And I feel like I did the same for him.  The road was very bumpy at times and sometimes I just wanted to throw in the towel but I'm glad I (we) stuck it out despite all the rumors and gossip and drama.  And I know he likes to downplay our friendship and portray it as lukewarm but I know deep down under all that denial he has mad love for me and I only see good things for us both in the future.

Dairrick Hodges - Ohhh Big D.  This nigga always puts me on hold and puts others in front me but ITS ALRIGHT!  Cause i love this nigga like a brutha.  I have told him so much shit and I know he won't say anything because he is a vault yes indeedy.  He has given me such great advice and I feel I've occassionly returned the favor.  He is one of the funniest people I know and never ceases to make me laugh.  And if you can make me laugh, you're golden.  He has such a big heart and is always down to help his friends.  He is...I dunno, wonderful.

Alicia "Sissy" Lopez - Thought I forgot about you didn't you?  Well I didn't.  I remember strongly disliking you for many years and I don't really remember why.  I think it was because I thought you were stuck up.  But then when I got to know you, I realized that you are the sweetest girl I have EVER met.  Like no joke.  I know we dont see each other much, but when we do I always have the best time.  Its always so dope smoking with you, something fun always happens.  Oh yeah and sorry about all those times me and Bobby would bicker around you hahaha.  I know you dont have a Myspace anymore but when you GET one, come visit me biatch!!

I AM SOOOO FUCKING SICK OF THIS SHIT!!!!

I am so fucking sick your denial

I am so fucking sick of your resentments

I am so fucking sick of you denying me what you KNOW I deserve

I am so fucking sick of watching other people with something I worked for

I am so sick of your lame excuses

I am so sick of your dishonesty

I am so sick you lying to yourself

I am so sick of making myself sick over you

If you're not ready to deal with something that you know is true FINE.  I'll wait and I'll always be waiting and when you're ready to do this, you know my number.

This sums it up almost perfect
Category: Romance and Relationships

Should've Been Me

There he goes with a smile on his face

Riding right next to you

Going out to all those places

That you used to take me to

Wear his jacket like it was your own

You used to wear mine so well

Why on earth did I let you go

If I hadnt I'd be with you still

Call it jealousy

Call me a fool

Cause its more than my eyes wanna see

It should've been me with you tonight

It should've been me there by your side

Seeing you both, its hard to believe

Cause it should've been me

Flashing that ring in everyone's face

The one you took back last week

I wonder if you're telling him things

That you used to whisper to me

To say its over won't work anymore

Cause its more than my heart wants to feel

It should've been me with you tonight

It should've been me there by your side

Seeing you both, its hard to believe

Cause it should've been me

He looked so satisfied

So close to you that I

Can't help but wonder why

I said goodbye last night

As tears dropped from my eyes

Call it jealousy call me a fool

Cause its more than my eyes wanna see

It should've been me with you tonight

It should've been me there by your side

Seeing you both, its hard to believe

Cause it should've been me

What I see as the greatest albums ever

I have always prided myself on my widely eclectic musical tastes. I havent met anyone who shares the same musical tastes as myself. And I've decided to celebrate that. Here is a list of my favorite albums. They are not in any order, just as I think of them. These albums helped create the person I am today and helped inspire what I am sure will become great. They will range from campy to very serious, and from dancey to acoustic. Oh fuck this intro, just read.

Michael Jackson - Dangerous (1991)

As most people know MJ is my favorite artist. Most people remember from doing Thriller. I, however, came into this world around a time when Michael was moving into New Jack Swing genres. This album features classics such as Black Or White and Remember The Time. This has to be one of my all time, if not THE all time favorite album of mine. There is a sequence of songs toward the end that are much more darker than anything Michael has done, especially the track Give In To Me. It's a rock song with a very dark and painful/emotional vibe and I cry almost every time I hear it. I will be 75 years old and still blasting this album. Pure genius.

The Offspring - Ixnay On The Hombre (1997)

In 1997 I was a little black kid who thought any type of guitar based music was for white people. The Offspring along with this album opened my eyes to the world of "rock" as people call it. I remember hearing an Offspring song and feeling guilty about loving it, but eventually I let myself go and discovered this album and it really changed my musical life. Not deep and artistic by any means, but this album represents youth and standing up for what you believe in and it just makes you feel good. Without this album, many of the following albums wouldn't have made this list in a million years.

Dr. Dre - The Chronic (1992)

To be quite honest, I almost never listen to this CD but its important to me because my dad always played it and it was my first taste of popular music. My dad would always blast while me and my best friend would wait for our kindergarten school bus. Whenever I hear "Nuthin But a G Thang" or "Deeez Nuuuts" it takes me back to the days when nothing bad could ever happen. Ironically, these songs are about how hard it is in the GHET-TO!

Rilo Kiley - Take Offs And Landings (2001)

The Offspring showed me rock but RK took it a step further and introduced me to indie and folk. After hearing Jenny and her band I wanted to explore more slide guitars and pedal steels and vibraphones played over acoustic guitars and pained vocals with whimsical lyrics. This album really takes me back to 9th grade when I was having a huge identity crisis and didn't really know who I was. I grabbed my balls and went to a Rilo Kiley show all alone. It was my first show, and I don't think I would have done it if they weren't so amazing.

Janet Jackson - janet. (1993)

I was never a HUGE fan of R&B pop besides what came on the radio but this album is amazing. The theme of the entire album is the highs and lows of love. And it shows just how versatile Janet really is. There's pop songs, R&B song, a country rock song, dance songs, and slow jam baby making songs. The album is almost like a movie. It begins, build build builds, climaxes and then winds down. This album brings back SOOOO many memories of me alone in my room on summer days being as faggish as can be. Ah the good old days.

Madonna - American Life (2003)

People don't give this woman enough credit. This album is absolutely astounding. The lyrical content mixed with her effortless ability to intertwine acoustic guitars with electronic blips and beeps is amazing. I bought this album on a gamble and came out with brilliance. I gave Madonna so much more credibility after this one. The critics may have panned it but I adore it.

MCMXC A.D. - Enigma (1990)

This has got to be, hands down, one of the best albums in music history. The album is literally a high that you have to experience. The Gregorian chants mixed with the sexual dance grooves and the moanings and the atmosphere. It just has to be heard to be explained. When I listened to this album I went to another planet. Enigma is by far one of the greatest artists out there.

The Human League - Dare! (1980)

This is probably one of the best synth pop albums I've heard. Philip Oakley's voice is so amazing. The Human League has the ability to concoct these amazing pop songs yet use primarily synthesizers. This album heavily inspires me in the music that I make. And they're also not afraid of being experimental. The Human League is what every pop band should aspire to be.

Mates Of State - Team Boo (2003)

This album reminds me of my nigs Bobby and Alicia. It's like people on ecstasy while eating your favorite candy and dancing through a field of daisies in a utopian world. it's the most uplifting, cheerful, innocent yet thought provoking and interesting. The two members of Mates Of State play on two different dimensions yet the dimensions are parallel so they match. Its amazing to watch them live as well.

Bjork - Debut (1993)

Bjork's first and best. When I heard "The Anchor Song" I almost cried. She understands me in a way that no one else can. Her weirdness isn't contrived, its natural, which makes it that much better. The way she describes something as simple as love lost is astounding to me. The way she musically interprets joy or pain is again, astounding. There's not too much I can say about Bjork in only a paragraph. She's great…period.

Nelly Furtado - Whoa, Nelly! (2000)

Ahhhhh 7th grade. Nelly Furtado is vastly underrated as far as her musical creativity goes. And people say she's sold out now but this isn't the case. This album gave me comfort in enjoying a plethora of musical genres. It made me celebrate it. This album combines everything from folk and rock to Brazilian and hip hop. Its so diverse and beautiful. Nelly Furtado takes all this music, a lot of it people wouldn't have given a chance, and then puts her own personal poppy spin on it to make it accessible. She is definitely one of the greatest musical artists of my generation.

Joni Mitchell - Blue (1971)

I bought this album not knowing any songs of hers. Only thing I knew was that I'd heard she was amazing. And that she was. This album did something to me that I can't describe. It is absolutely breathtaking. Joni Mitchell's voice is almost near perfect and ethereal. Hey lyrical imagery is so strong that I see a picture book in my head every time I hear this album

Geri Hallowell -Schizophonic (1999)

The former Spice Girl. I never in a zillion years thought that I would like this album. It took over a year to grow on me but it finally did. I absolutely love it. Its sheer pop perfection. It's fun, it kicks, it has tender moments and its just a great pop album with a feel good vibe and I love albums like that. Don't discount her just because she's an ex Spice Girl. This album reeks with amazingness!

Moby - Play (1999)

I never thought I would like Moby. Never ever. Now I want to marry him. The man is a flippin genius. This man took old blues songs and sampled them into beautiful ambient pieces. Some of the most interesting music I have ever heard. But Moby doesn't make you hesitate to dance on some tracks. Some of these tracks are techno thumpers. But for the most part, this album is a chillax masterpiece.

Aaliyah - Aaliyah (2001)

Like I said earlier, I'm not a huge fan of R&B but I've always loved Aaliyah. And this album proves she is ahead of the rest. This album takes so many musical risks that other artists in this genre never would have taken. It's a very dark album visiting much more mature themes this time around. But the highlights of this album are the melodies and the beats and the rhythms. Aaliyah's voice sweetens the deal because its damn near angelic.

I'm tired of writing summaries so now I'm just gonna list them and add the summaries later.

Air - Moon Safari (1998)

The Queen Of The Damned Soundtrack (2002)

Gwen Stefani - Love. Angel. Music. Baby. (2004)

Le Tigre - Le Tigre (1999)

Hilary Duff - Hilary Duff (2004)

HORSE The Band - R.Borax (2003)

Aqua - Aquarium (1997)

Kraftwerk - Computer World (1980)

M.I.A. - Arular (2005)

Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott - Miss E…So Addictive (2001)

N.E.R.D. - In Search Of…(2001)

Spice Girls - Spice (1996)

Seal - Seal II (1994)

Peaches - The Teaches Of Peaches (2000)

Pinback - Pinback (2000)

Britney Spears - In The Zone (2004)

Sufjan Stevens - Michigan

Portishead - Dummy

Tiffany - Tiffany

Friends, Or Lack Thereof
Current mood: angry

I have made a conscious decision to terminate all close relationships with my "friends". I am starting school on Monday and intend to focus every ounce of energy I have on school so I can get out of this shallow, useless, small-minded, sorry excuse of a town called San Diego.

My current "friends" do nothing to benefit me or help me so why keep them around?  All they do is bring on unnecessary stress, and unwanted heart/headaches.  The majority of them have no plan and/or direction in life and thats not something I choose to be around.

I do not want to be friends with people who a) think things about me that certainly aren't true, and b) assume i'm a bad person when I try and be the best person I can be.  A friend is not someone you see all the time.  That isnt what makes someone a friend.  A friend is someone who actually gets you and understands you and likes what they understand.  I don't have that. At all.

I've struggled with friends for years, and the most practical thing to do now is to just eliminate them.  At least the very close ones.  I dont mind friendly interaction here and there between select individuals, but the bffl thing isnt working anymore.  I'm beginning to think no one out there can successfully befriend me.

I don't need anyone, and its very apparent that no one needs me.  So I'll leave it at that.  All I need is my books, my movies, and my music.  And thats that.

They say material things don't bring happiness, its the people you share them with.  Well my material things have brought me much more joy than ANY person has.
