to the subway, I saw hordes of Koreans running, must of been 75-100 people running. I even saw some white people, black people and middle easterners. It was strange, All of them running together in harmony.
They were all running to catch the next transfer.
As all these people ran by me I was temped to run with them.
But, I chose to walk. Something inside me said, "Don't follow them. They're wrong."
Then when I finally got to where everyone was running to. There was no need to rush. It was another 15 minutes for the next train. They were all sheep being scared by what they thought was a wolf. But in reality, the wolf was in their mind.
This made me upet. How many other times has this happened in history,
where everyone was following everyone else. And everyone was wrong.
And when only a few were correct, no one followed.
I left before that shit happened. But I tried to warn you dumbasses, but you thought I was just some crazy lunatic yelling in Waikiki and LA. Sucks for you.
looking at your old pix and looking at the people in the background. 1 you didn't notice them until now 2 the looks on their faces tell more then the people in the foreground
During the 1st World Trade Center attacks, there was a car bombing and it wasn't enough to take down the buidling. The government knew who was responsible and did nothing about it. Years later, the second attempt was effective and took down both towers. The reason behind the attacks were that the US government was taking land/ oil/ culture from another country.
Namdaemun Palace was almost burned previously by the same man, but he was caught. The Korean government made a mistake and let him go on a suspended sentence, half a year. A year later, the same man (70 years old) burns the 600 year old building. His reason for his action was that the government took his farm land and is developing buildings on his land.
Also the emotional effect on the morale and economy will be felt, similar to what happened after 9-11. While the World Trade Center was a economic symbol, the Namdaemun Palace was a symbol of the past. A past that is long and dead.
