DJ PREACH BLOG OF THE MONTH MAY 2008

Another month has passed so quickly and I can already feel the summer vibe flowing in my veins. After this escapade in Jakarta 2 weeks ago for my wedding, the coming back in Europe feels like a huge relief… YES WE'VE DONE IT! One thing in Indonesia that extremely differ from Europe is the constant traffic jam in the city, endless cues of cars going all in the same direction, polluting the atmosphere. I heard every day they sell over 200 cars and 1800 motorcycles only in the city of Jakarta, can you imagine! Apart from that, it's a wonderful country that I strongly suggest to any fanatic traveler like me to visit.

 You have probably noticed a couple of my new releases are out this month. I was waiting so badly to see my remix of Tiesto coming out and finally I can start playing it out on my show and in my sets. For those who don't know, it's my remix of Carpe Noctum from his latest album Elements of Life. I believe its for sale on Beatport & Trackitdown and other good digital stores J Also for those who missed it, my remix of Hypnotizer by Marcus Schössow and Thomas Sagstad is now out also at all the best stores, I saw it growing in the chart with a really good support from Sander Van Doorn and Joop. Check out also the new Relic Recordings remixes of Michal Poliak World Republic on Trackitdown.net. There are remixes from Wehbba and Bryan Cox. All techno fans will love this one for sure, it will be on out in couple of weeks!!

Gig wise, I'm touring around Europe in May and then I'm flying to Canada for a 4 weekends tour including to name a few the cities of Calgary, Ottawa, Toronto and New York. It's always a bit last minute with Canada so we will be posting the official dates as soon as possible. I'm sorry for those in Montreal, Sherbrook and Quebec, I couldn't play this time but it's for a good reason trust me. We have signed exclusive with a huge party in Quebec in August. To celebrate the 400years of Quebec the city is organizing a 4 headliners, 50 000 people capacity, free cover charge party on the beach… stay tuned for more info it's gonna be massive and definitely worth the drive! This summer don't miss Dance Valley of course, I will be performing long side Ferry Costen, Judge Jules and all the djs from Dancetherapy J For those in central Europe check out the massive party Creamfields on the 12^th of july at Breclav Airport in Czech Republic. It's a special edition for Central Europeans with some of the best djs on earth Sasha, Digweed and Ferry Costen. I'll be playing on the techno stage prime time, get ready for a rocking set I wont be gentle that's for sure.

Also don't forget to tune in to my radioshow the first Friday (English) and Wednesday (French) of May as we have two special guests: DJ Amadeus (Lebanon) & Victor Dinaire (USA), I will also have a special live mix recorded for this occasion.  The Transatlantic show is on Friday at 20h00 on DI.FM, Wednesday in French on Beradio.net at 22h00 and of course on Radio Energie Saturday (also in French) from 3 to 5 !! After a successful year with the original Elements Of Life album, Tiësto delivers a brand new remix edition featuring all great artists from the original album, now remixed by artists like Cosmic Gate, Dirty South, Sander Van Doorn, Preach and Fonzerelli to name but a few.
DJ Preach's remix of 'Carpe Noctrum' can be found on Black Hole Recordings webshop and is already no.6 on their TOP20 chart.

PREACH UPDATE FEBRUARY 2008

Hi guys, I hope winter is not too hot or cold for you this year!

Things have been pretty hectic last few weeks and I am gladly taking my next weekend off to catch up with productions. First big news, I'm going to be a DAD!! Yeah I know it seems a bit crazy with my life and the schedule but I think it will be a great challenge. This has been giving me a lot of energy that I was really looking for after last few gigs.

I just finished a pounding remix of Broken Inside, I will come up soon on Tiesto's label F.B.I. with a bside remix from Dimitri Andreas. I look forward to that release as it really represents well my sound of the moment, a sort of mix between progressive and techno trance. I actually had the excitement to test it out last Saturday in Goodgreef @ Tall Trees in England. It is incredible to see that people remember the melody, they were even screaming it at the end of the breakdown. Talking about that gig, it was completely insane. I played a short set like every other djs that night but it was one hell of an hour. Just before me was Marcel Woods rocking the crowd and after Eddie Halliwell totally blew hit with his harder trance style. The crowd in England is very active. I must say I was a bit surprised about the turning out of that night because obviously they have a lot of big djs playing all the time in England and they still give away so much energy during the parties. The best moment of the night was definitely when I played my bootleg remix of "The killers - When you were young" people were singing it tight till the end. I mixed it in with some crazy tribal techno track and it was seriously crazy! I'll be playing with Eddie again in April for another Goodgreef party… can't wait! Other than that my gigs in Portugal and Czech Republic were definitely good too. In Portugal especially we had an after party on the boat in the afternoon and that was not to be missed; sunset and booze!

Coming up in March I will be playing for the first time in Cork - Ireland, I really wonder what it's like over there. If anyone got some party pictures just send it to my Facebook or MySpace. Oh yeah and there is a massive festival in Spain where I will perform with Dave Clark. Check out the website for more info www.famafestival.es . I'll be posting my report on that next month… hell of a party for sure! 

I want to mention that some major changes are happening with the Transatlantic radio show. We are trying to make it as accessible as possible and improve the concept to be a little different than others. The show has moved to DI.FM which will be exclusively broadcasting (on internet) my show every first Friday of every month between 20:00 and 22:00 CET, just before Mark Sherry's show on the DJ Mixes Channel. As for FM stations, we have closed a deal with the biggest electronic music station in Russia and that will most probably be a weekly show. I'm trying to push right now to get the show on the nation FM station of Canada so we could have it broadcasted for everyone… not just for the Quebers! Of course, we will give all the correct info ASAP! Thanks to everyone for writing me your comments on the show and also for your request, it's really cool to read your ideas I often get inspired to improve the show. Stay tuned!
