SoCal
Current mood: angsty
So here I am living in sunny southern california. I went to San Ysidro today right on the border to some outlet stores. They had a duty free store where they sold liquor and cigars and the ladie told me it was for export to Mexico and I couldnt buy anything unless taking it to Mexico!!!! Crazzy!!!
In Cali I noticed its all about the shades. I see the old dudes with the Wayfarer Ray-Bans to the Vatos with the Locs to the cute couples with matching pairs of shades. Everyone just about wears sunglasses.
We got a house on Coronado Island(google) and it is pretty cool.We have the Pacific on one side and San Diego bay on the other. Its right across the street from where the Seals do their hell week and beach PT. We move in on the first. The beaches here are alot more mellow than in Hawaii. In Hawaii the surf is crashing all the time and makes a lot of noise. Here we are right on the beach and it is pretty quiet. Hopefully we will have cool trades because the housing has no A/C!!!! Im off until the 8th of Oct. I've been off for over a month and it feels pretty damn good lol. Really though I cant wait to get back to work and get into a routine again. I've been living out of a duffel bag since March and it sucks.
Peace

James’s 40th B-day bash
I went to angelo last week with my son Austin and while I was there timed it just right to coincide with my friend James Wimberly's b-day party. It was really cool to see friends I havent seen in over 10 yrs. The night seemed to end way to quickly but it was cool to all be together for just a moment in time. I leave for Iraq on Monday. Today while I was at the Honolulu airport there were about 40-50 Wounded Warriors that flew in for some type of conference on the island. Many were missing legs and had bad burns and it made me really think about were I'm going. God bless those guys and I hope everyone I know comes back in one piece.........

Of all the days to forget the camera
Current mood: peaceful
Category: Life
Went to Kapiolani park today for the 37 th Ukulele festival. They have people come in from all over the Pacific and it was cool to listen to the music while chilling with Cassie and feeling the sun and nice tradewinds blowing on our faces..
Then Jack Johnson came out and did a few songs with the kids. That was so cool. No one knew he would be there. Naturally we had left the camera in the car so we had to resort to camera phone pic which kinda suck from far away.
To top it off we went to Lulu's and I had the Tiger Eye Sushi which was choke. It was Da Kine bra!!!! LOL jk
Life in Hawaii is hard.

One more night in Misawa again again
Well we should have been home two days ago but we are still sitting in Misawa.
We have been delayed for the second or third time and needless to say the peeps are getting restless. All we do is sit and wait. I hope I get back for my flight to San Angelo.

bored
Feb 2007.
Sitting in the Phillipines and feeling like time is grinding to a halt. I cant believe it is still feb.
I feel like I am drifting away from my loved ones like I have never felt before. I have been on more than one deployment and for some reason this one really sucks.
I think it is all the down time here. When we are busy life is good. Time flys and everyone is happy.
Counting the days till I leave..........Im going to oki soon then maybe to Guam.
Take care and love the ones your with............

Time keeps ticking...........
Hello everyone ...anyone.
I am forward deployed once again and not in Okinawa anymore.I found out my grandmother died on monday. The funeral is Sat in San Angelo and all my family will be there fom all over the states so that is good. My dad is probably sad and it will be good for him to see all his relatives he hasnt seen in yrs.
On that note I cant believe how old I will be on my birthday this yr!!!!Where did the time go? It is so crazy that I'll be 39 y.o.. There was a time I thought I would never see 40. Who knows I'm not there yet.lol.
Today is the 26 Jan and I am finally healed up. I actually ran two miles yesterday and yes it was extremly painful but I did it. I took about a hr shower afterwards with nothing but hot water on my ribs. I had a "accident" and fx a rib or two and my frontal occipital orbit but I am good to go. I wont go into detail about my accident due to operational security. Not really I wont go into detail because it is embarrassing lol. Next subject.
Dont know when I will be back on this so until next time..baalam.
