Phaze Fantasies VI
By: Jude Mason, Yvette Hines, Jessie Verino, N, Augusta Li, D. Musgrave 978-1-59426-858-8 Anthology, Contemporary, Fantasy
Buy Here: Phaze Fantasies VI
Six Phaze favorites guarantee to enthrall with this sizzling collection of erotic shorts. Featuring:
To Have and To Hold by Yvette Hines: Kelli Delaney spent the last year planning for the perfect wedding. What she didn't plan for was getting to the altar and not having a groom there waiting for her. Dumped and pissed, Kelli decides she's still going to have her honeymoon and eat her cake too. When she meets up with her college crush, Will Robertson she finds herself submitting to a passionate weekend she couldn't have arranged for in her wildest dreams.
Continuing Education by D. Musgrave: By day, Stephanie Barrett is a high school English Teacher. By night, she's the Grand Mistress of a dungeon club, without a submissive to call her own. When she spots Nicolas Adamson, back in town from college, she remembers the strong feelings she had for him, but never acted on. A plan forms in her mind, to lure him into her lair. Thus begins the realization of her longest held fantasy--to find a submissive of her own.
Sam the Man by Jude Mason: Sammy Nicholson was the epitome of what we all might think of as 'flaming' gay. Small, well dressed in outrageous clothing, he loved to shock and tease. But Sammy was much more. A part time hospice worker, he fell for a client's husband and after some soul searching, the man tumbled for him as well. When the wife finally passes away, guilt sets in. Can Sammy's special kind of love break down the barriers Greg has set up for himself?
Precious Things by Augusta Li: Yaoi/Fantasy/BDSM: Far in the future, civilization has collapsed and people have gathered in walled City-States for protection from the dangers lurking in the Wastelands outside. Leaf is content in his role as slave-boy to his beautiful and enigmatic Master, Leannan. But when an associate from Leannan's past arrives, the secure routine of Leannan and Leaf's life is disrupted, and Leaf must confront truths about his Master he'd rather not know. He must find the strength to do what he dreads most: act alone, without his Master's guidance.
Statues by Jessie Verino: Alexandria Darnoud values her privacy as much as her art collection. Her living art collection. Rumors run wild throughout New Orleans about her hedonistic, invitation only, parties. Dante is a report working undercover as one of her statues in order to break the story of his career.
Tough, take no prisoners Alexandria, has a secret she dares not even acknowledge to herself. She wants to surrender her hidden passion to a man who can take control, and Dante is her man of choice. But will Dante give up his story, his career, to keep Alexandria tied to his bed? iSUBmiT by N: A perfume might be bottled eroticism, but iSUBmiT is more. iSUBmiT is bottled darkness. And to learn how to sell the darkest of erotic promises Svetlana must first experience them. She must go to So-UnReal-Ism?

Catching up and Needing Votes
Current mood: happy
Category: Writing and Poetry
I know, I know. I haven't posted anything in the blog in months.
I have an excuse...really, I do.
Okay, it's lame, but I had to take a step back and reassess my choices. I needed time to evaluate where I am and what I want for long and short term goals. In that time, I made some resolutions for the coming year. The first on the list is a refocus on my writing, and saying no to people and things that are counter to my spirit and psyche. I now sit here ready for the future, whatever it holds.
With that being said, I now need to ask a favor of you all.
I have several nominations in this year's Preditors and Editors Poll.
First, I've been nominated in the favorite Author category: http://www.critters.org/predpoll/author.shtml
In addition to that, I have nominations in three novel categories: Best anthology: 413 Remembrance Lane: Diary of a House. http://www.critters.org/predpoll/antho.shtml
Best Horror novel: Blood Creek Haunting. http://www.critters.org/predpoll/novelh.shtml
Best Erotica novel: Jaded Dick. http://www.critters.org/predpoll/novelerot.shtml
Here are the rules and FAQ. I'm posting these because people have been confused by the way they tabulate the voting. Please note that they do have a way of determining ballot stuffing. That means when you vote from an email address, they log that vote and if you were to vote in the same category more than once, only the last verified vote will count. They don't go into details, but I suspect the software will log the ISP number and even if you were to try using several different email addresses, they would 'know' the votes came from the same machine and thus only one vote per machine will be counted.
Okay get out there and vote. If not for me, then for your favorite author and books.
Derek

Times They Are a Changing
Category: Writing and Poetry
In my last newsletter, I alluded to making some changes and setting new goals. This is the first of what I hope to be many of those changes.
For the entire time I've had this newsletter, I've not utilized the interactive aspect of this group. I feel that was a huge oversight and have come to realize that it's time I work to rectify that.
As of today, I'm officially opening the Portal to you, my friends, fans, and fellow authors.
Welcome to my Portal of Eros.
This group is much more than just the interactive source of news about my writing. I created this site for my fans, readers, and friends. The Portal of Eros is a place to gather and have open discussions about all things writing, and life in general. I encourage members to post their own thoughts and feelings on any number of subjects. My goal is to provide a safe, open, and friendly sanctuary on the internet. If you are interested in keeping up with my publications, or take part in a frank and adult discussion, please feel free to join.
As a member of The Portal of Eros, you will receive a monthly newsletter that details my publishing and writing news, plus a few tidbits of upcoming projects and non-writing things. You can chose to receive my newsletter directly to your email box, or read it here online.
Like most groups/newsletters a few rules have to be addressed:
Authors: Wide Open Wednesdays This is the one day, I'm opening the floor to anyone who has something to promote. But please be kind and limit promotions to no more than three works on that day. There are plenty of promo sites available and I don't want the Portal to become flooded.
Also, if you promote a work, please try to be available for replies and feedback. No hit and run promos! Readers tire of those types of ads. As a reader myself, I want to get to know the author a little bit.
Readers and Authors: Feel free to jump into any conversation you like. I may not always be the first to respond, but I'll do my best to keep the flow going. Above all, I want this to be a fun and interactive spot.

413 Remembrance Lane: Diary of a House
Category: Writing and Poetry
413 Remembrance Lane: Diary of a House
By: Cheri Valmont, Emma Wildes, Jude Mason, Derek Musgrave, Jamie Hill, and Skyler Grey
Length: Comet (85K) Rating: 4 Novas
ISBN 978-1-59426-992-9
Buy here: 413 Remembrance Lane: Diary of a House
Two centuries, many owners, and the question has been asked . . . is it blessed, or cursed?
There is a certain house in New Orleans at 413 Remembrance Lane. Within the walls lives end and begin, myths and superstition blend with reality, erotic fantasies are realized, and always love has held the upper hand.
It is the house, steeped in history and the emotions of those who have lived there? Or perhaps the legend goes a little deeper.
'Midnight Confession' by Cheri Valmont offers a journey to the wild, untamed settlement of 1750s New Orleans. A place where a special house, a magical diary, and a pirate captain named Miles Chadwick holds the key to Catherine Ashbury's everlasting happiness... or complete ruin.
Serena Duclos is torn between two men and one very extraordinary request. Luckily, she lives in a house where wishes can come true and passion isn't always defined by convention ... in Emma Wildes' 'An Extraordinary Request'
In Jude Mason's 'Of Death and Desire', Jonathan Strand moves himself and his terminally ill lover, Philip, to one of the lovely historical houses of New Orleans. Later, consumed by grief and tormenting dreams, he finds a diary, and perhaps the answer to his prayers. But at what price?
In 'The War Within' By D. Musgrave, William Beauregard returns from WWII, only to find the visions of the death and destruction haunting him still. He can't shake them and it's pushed him away from his wife, Sheila. These hauntings, have him afraid of the voices and images and worries he may lash out at them, hurting his wife. To rid himself of the ghosts, he must take a huge risk, one that could lose his wife to him for ever.
In 'Let The Sunshine In' by Jamie Hill, Scott and Terri Walker move to Remembrance Lane hoping for a fresh start in their marriage. Handsome, hirsute Rafe McAllister isn't precisely what they're looking for, but might be exactly what they need.
Mix in an old house, a magic diary, a sexy young college student and a sinfully handsome vampire and you've got a story sure to stir the... blood in Skyler Grey's 'My Vampire, My Love'.
Natasha has come to regret the choices she has made in her life, the biggest one being turning away from the one woman she had ever loved. But thanks to a late night visit from a succubus and the diary of 413 Remembrance Lane, she can have a second chance, in Michelle Houston's 'The Life Not Lived'.

Excerpt of Taking Chances
I'd been up for hours. Sleep had been less than satisfying. I'd tossed and turned most of the night, unable to get Lee Ann out of my head. By the time the sun had shot through the gap in the curtains, I was sitting up with my back against the headboard, sipping coffee.
With my second cup of coffee finished, I flicked off the TV and stared at my briefcase on the desk. I climbed out of bed, grabbed the leather case, and pulled out the contract. Moving to Topeka wasn't my first choice, but the offer to head up the new branch office was one I had to consider. I knew that if I refused the promotion, I might never have another chance. I also knew there was a chance I could do too well in Topeka, but be stuck there indefinitely.
As I flipped through the contract, I thought of Lee Ann. Something about her seemed different from the women I'd known before, but I couldn't place it. It wasn't any one thing, more like her as a whole. I looked at the digital clock and it read: 9:17. I wondered if she'd still be asleep. It didn't matter. She wasn't going to call.
I set the contract down, deciding to go get ready and go scout the town. I'd just finished brushing my teeth when there was a knock on my hotel room door. Peering through the tiny peep hole, I saw Lee Ann looking to the side. Without a thought, I unlocked the door and opened it. She stood before me in a white blouse and black jeans. She had on a modest amount of makeup, her black hair spilling down over her shoulders.
Before I could say anything, she stepped through, pushing me up against the wall, and closing the door with a kick of her foot. She pressed her mouth to mine, kissing me hard—harder than any woman ever had before. It took me by surprise, but I found my lips and tongue automatically returning her kiss.
She moaned into my mouth and pressed her body to mine. For a moment, I felt trapped, as if she was forcing herself on me, but the sudden swelling in my pants eased those thoughts. I reached up, digging my fingers into her long hair, kissing her with the same passion as she poured on me. Somehow, I managed to move away from the wall and steer us toward the bed.
Suddenly, she broke the kiss and backed away, her face becoming pensive.
"What's wrong?"
"I have something to tell you." She glanced at me, then looked away.
"What is it?"
Lee Ann walked to the hotel window. She shook her head and took a deep breath.
I walked up behind her and put my hands on her shoulders. "Tell me, what's wrong?"
She turned and tried to smile, but it was pained. "I-I haven't always looked like this."
"So? We all change. I'm not the young stud I used to be."
She chuckled for a moment, but it flew away quickly. "I don't know any other way to say this, but straight out…

Length: Novella 5K – 10K
Performance Review Excerpt
He followed her across the office and noticed that she swung her hips in an exaggerated sway. Lisa stood by the door and when he entered her office, she pushed it closed and locked it. She walked past him without a word and sat in her high-backed leather chair. Not knowing what else to do, Mark sat in the chair in front of her desk.
She looked at him and asked, "What do you think would be a fair reward for your efforts?"
"I don't know. What do you normally give your employees?"
Lisa smiled and said, "It depends on their performance. Sometimes we give them a raise. Sometimes I give them a special reward."
Mark had a feeling he knew what the special reward was, and despite himself he felt his cock stir. From the first interview, he'd noticed that Lisa was attractive and had a great figure. Like any man, he'd wondered how she looked naked.
Lisa spoke again, "I think you might deserve both. What do you think?"
Mark shrugged. He didn't see why he need to comment, she was the one who needed to get out of the hole she'd dug for herself.
She smiled again and got to her feet. Walking around to the front of her desk, she slowly undid the buttons on her pink, long-sleeved blouse and revealed the pink lace bra, covering her perky breasts. Lisa pulled the shirttails out of her jeans and dropped it to the floor.
Mark shifted uncomfortably in his chair. The thick length of his erection was being strangled by the waistband of his underwear. He couldn't take his eyes off her body as she continued to strip for him.
Lisa glanced down at his lap and noticed his obvious reaction to her show. She smiled wickedly and made even more of a show at undressing. She swayed her hips seductively and slowed the pace of her stripping. It seemed to Mark that she was too good at stripping; and he wondered if perhaps she'd done it professionally at some point. She had the body and moves for it. Her legs were lean and her stomach was washboard flat, the intense look in her eyes drew me in and made me feel as if she was dancing to entice me. That would help to explain why she made such a point of professing her virtue—guilt for her wicked past.
Her striptease continued, until she stood in front of him, wearing just her bra and panties. As good as she looked in tight-fitting jeans, she looked even better nearly naked. She had a taut little body with an apple-shaped ass—Mark's weakness.
Her husky voice broke his reverie. "You want to see more?"
He nodded—it was all he could do.
