my thanks...
...go out to everyone who works at the schaumburg improv and everybody who came to see my shows there this weekend. lots of people have seen SUPER HIGH ME and the support i'm getting for it in my live shows is incredible.
my thanks do not go out to the piece of shit "favorite" in the 8th race at arlington, whose last place finish f-d up my shot at a big pick 3 win.

tonight i...
...participated in a poolside chat at the l.a. film festival about pot in the movies. the other panelists were cheech marin, jay chadnreskaker (sp!) from broken lizard, jengi cohan (creater of WEEDS) and it was moderated by author shirley halperin (THE A TO Z GUIDE TO POT CULTURE). it was cool to meet cheech for the first time, and the others were as nice as i remember them from previous meetings. i had a delightful time.
but the gift bag was full of crap.
(awesome crap!)

R.I.P. George Carlin
i just found out that george carlin died today. i wasn't terribly shocked when i heard the news - the man has had grey hair since i was a kid. but it did make me sad, because carlin was easily one of my biggest influences growing up and proof that a potsmoker can be a prolific and inspiring person and artist. i was a fan of his stuff well before i even considered the idea of becoming a stand-up comedian. and thanks in part to his trailblazing in the area of free speech, i've actually said four of his "seven words you can't say on television" on television. (i haven't said c*nt, c*cks*cker or motherf*cker on tv...yet.)
make milk come out of god's nose, george.
